Europa Universalis V is the most mature version of the series: not only does it add features, but it integrates them into a coherent fabric that makes the historical simulation more believable. It's not perfect, but it's a blast.

It is the most historically accurate game ever made, with tons of content, and the most accurate world map of 1337. The level of detail is insane; this game will be remembered by all history and strategy lovers.

Currently this game is NOT Europa Universalis. As others mentioned, it is Victoria mixed with some ideas from other games. It's overcomplicated for the sake of being overcomplicated - the "depth" of its systems is not enjoyable at all. I'm not sure any amount of polish can turn this Victoria wannabe to a real Europa Universalis we all know. I think I'd better reinstall the Europa Universalis IV.

Europa Universalis V arrives with an impressive degree of polish and an already massive amount of content, even in its initial release. It feels like a culmination of Paradox's grand-strategy expertise—deep enough to lose yourself in for hundreds of hours. At the same time, its overall structure still leaves plenty of room for future expansion, making it easy to believe the game will only grow to even greater heights.

It’s not without its faults, though, with crashes, stuttering and weird bugs that will, hopefully get squashed soon, but the total sum of its parts cannot be denied: Europa Universalis V is Paradox at the height of its powers, and I cannot wait to see where things land as the game matures over time.

I'm new to EU5. The game is awesome and absolutely top notch. I don't know anything better. Of course, if you're hoping for action like GTA5, shooters, and KC2, you're in the wrong place. I currently have 350 hours of playtime. One run from 1337 to 1837 with the County of Hohenlohe (starting without a city) and the second with Spain.

Despite small nitpicks such as recycled events and an at-times rough user interface, Europa Universalis 5 is a fantastic grand strategy game. Extremely complex but well worth the effort it takes to learn, this game feels like developer Paradox has learned the lessons of the last 15 years of its games.

Europa Universalis V doesn’t just impress, it devours. It weaves diplomacy, conquest, faith, and culture into a tapestry that first humbles, then enthralls. What begins in confusion ends in obsession, as you are crowned by the systems that mystified you on first pass. If not for Paradox's usual optimization fumbles, this game would've been the absolute pinnacle of strategy forever. Regardless, it stands above many of its ilk as the grandest of grand strategies.

Europa Universalis V (EU5) is a masterpiece and an unrivaled historical strategy game that raises the bar for the genre even **** game excels in the sophistication of empire management. I appreciate how the developers at Paradox Tinto naturally implement historical events into the game world. These events dynamically influence the situation and force players to constantly react to new **** trade and production systems are complex, yet incredibly fun. Balancing resources, building trade routes, and managing a vast economy provides a sense of real power and **** true highlight, however, is the realistic army logistics. The game perfectly captures the importance of terrain and seasons. Your army will suffer significant losses during movement or sieges in winter, and crossing the Alps becomes nearly impossible during the cold period. This level of detail adds unprecedented depth to war planning.Europa Universalis V is an absolutely essential title for every fan of grand strategies and history enthusiasts.

This is CK mixed with Victoria and Imperator pretending to be Europa Universalis. Full of bugs, terrible AI, awful performance and perhaps the worst UI in gaming history.
