the critics make me feel disgusted, this game has the best story mode in dragon ball, second only to "Dragon ball Z Kakarot" the difficulty is excellent, the game presents many challenges, the minigames are incredible, the maps are good, the soundtracks are good, and combat is excellent

The critics who thought this game is bad are very dumb, this game is a direct evolution of DBZ budokai 3. ading new moves like a third grab, new characters such as super baby 2, super 17, janemba and pikkon, and new minigames that add a lot more fun to the game. For the people who say this game is hard, I have one thing to say: skill issue.
I personally don't like difficult games, but this one is definitely an exception, highly recommend it, don't listen to the bad critics, this game is worth it.

For me - this is the best 2D fighting DB game. The only minuses - the f%cked up difficulty, which isn't a problem if you skilled enough, and skills obtainment, but let's be honest - far not all peolpe completing games on 100%

One of the best in the series, super fun game. The reviewers seem to be mad that they **** at the game and as a result rated it bad.

After playing this game, I honestly cannot understand why it got a terrible Metascore. Some fans may dislike the removal of beam struggles including me, on the plus side however, the game replaces the absolutely trash "Hyper Mode" from Budokai 3 with the "Aura Burst" from the Shin Budokai series. Also, you get more GT characters, something that Budokai 3 was lacking in, not that I see it as that big of a deal though. I can't say much about the story mode as I haven't played it that much in either of the 2 games. The controls have been slightly improved from Budokai 3 as you now no longer have to press X and back twice to power up, but L1 instead, this alone was something I disliked about Budokai 3, and so it's good to see it fixed in Infinite World. Overall this game is for those who are looking for a console version of the Shin Budokai games on PSP. The Metascore should not be used to determine your choice of buying/playing it as it is a fairly well-rounded DBZ fighting game.

this game is is good but it had all things that were good in the past game it's not as good as the older games but this game does have the better graphics but dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 2 is still the best this game does not come close to the story line of dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 2

Infinite world is the successor to the highly-acclaimed Budokai 3, frankly I don't understand why this game gets a lower metacritic rating than Budokai 3 as generally across the board it has improved on its predecessors. Gameplay As far as gameplay goes this game is far superior to its predecessors. With the introduction of the aura burst, to replace the hyper mode seen in Budokai 3, a new level of gameplay has been added, providing new combo options and another approach option to the characters. As already mentioned aura burst is the replacement of the hyper mode. Dimps was right to do this as hyper mode was a mechanic that was pretty useless. All it provided to the player was stun resistance, the ability to use a ultimate and it just ate away at your ki until you either did a dragon dash or ran out of ki leaving you vulnerable for a short period of time. Of course while hyper mode was active your opponent could only avoid, use hyper mode themselves or fire off specials as they would lose out in hand to hand combat which leaves the combat a bit lacklustre. Aura burst is very different in comparison as it gives the player a dash-esque mechanic which drains a small portion of the players ki. It may also be used in combination with the punch, kick or ki blast to launch modified versions of each which provide extra stun for linking combos. This game also removes the dragon rush mechanic used in the previous games, a great decision by Dimps as a fighting game should never have mechanics which rely on the luck of an individual. I am however disappointed about the fact that beam struggles have been removed from the game, that isn't to say that the mechanic didn't need to be changed however. The beam struggle mechanic could have been improved by allowing both players to use up 1 or 2 ki bars to increase the power of their beams through inputting the same command for the attack(e.g. >E for Kamehameha), as opposed to mashing the buttons. This would be a great addition to the ki-centred metagame which has been slowly established by the other 3 games. In terms of balance this game is also an improvement on Budokai 3, the characters have been tweaked here and there so they all have a much greater balance of advantages and disadvantages. However, do not think that because the balancing in this game is an improvement that all the characters are completely balanced. There are still a few of them that could be further buffed or nerfed to make the game more balanced. The capsule system for custom characters was also much improved in this game, I myself found it very annoying that characters like Goku in Budokai 3 had 50% of their capsule slots taken up by just their transformations alone. Though I can understand the reasoning as characters with more tansformations have higher damage scaling so it was clearly implemented to address characters who have little to no transformations. Graphics In comparison to Budokai 3 the graphics haven't seen any improvement. As far a I can tell there seems to be no improvement whatsoever but I may be wrong about this. Some aura's however have seen a little tune up and slight changes to probably conform more with the Anime. Sound Great soundtracks throughout the game unfortunately most of them were done by Kenji Yamamoto who no too recently was done for copyright infringement on many soundtracks/songs due to their overbearing similarity with other songs out there in the world. Which is very much a shame since the Capsule Corp soundtrack was by far my favourite track which I used to leave my console on in the background just to listen to. Story Mode Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the story mode in this game too much, in comparison to Budokai 3 I found it to be a step down. Though the story mode hasn't been as good since the Budokai 1. What I will say is that I very much enjoyed the side games as they were a step away from the fighting which was a nice breather. It kind of reminded me of the bonus level in street fighter where you must destroy the car or the barrel jumping you must do. Verdict I am giving this game a 10/10, while there are still issues with the game Dimps was right on the mark in where they were taking this series of games at this time, Shin Budokai 1 + 2 are also proof of this. They were clearly making improvements in the gameplays depth and the balance of the roster which are really what any fighting game should focus on.
