BIT.TRIP FLUX is an exceptional, thrilling, emotional ride that brings the BIT.TRIP SAGA to a beautifully satisfying close. The gameplay comes full circle, going back to its roots from BIT.TRIP BEAT, albeit with immense amounts of improvements! The difficulty curve is definitely a lot fairer this time around, and unlike BEAT where each level was more of a 15 minute marathon, FLUX gives you checkpoints for each stage of the level, making things less frustrating. This also means that there aren't any game overs mid-level now! As for the visuals, it is without a doubt the most beautiful BIT.TRIP game out of the original saga, and a very pretty game in general! The amount of detail in the HUD and the backgrounds is amazing! It's a treat for the eyes! Not to mention the secrets hidden within the backgrounds, such as hidden messages made up of binary and semi-opaque words that scroll by. It's a gorgeous treat for the eyes and is one of the most beautiful games on the Wii! And don't get me started on the absolutely phenomenal soundtrack! Catharsis is literally my favourite video game song of all time! Every song in this game has so much love, care, and attention poured into it and they're all blissful and emotional masterpieces! There are even callbacks to games like BEAT and RUNNER, with parts of Transition remixed and tucked away in Epiphany and Perception, and the RUNNER leitmotif appearing in Catharsis. Whether you're listening to the songs in-game stage by stage, or listening to the official soundtrack via iTunes or Spotify, you will no doubt ascend and possibly even cry while listening to these incredible tunes! Overall, BIT.TRIP FLUX is nothing short of a masterpiece! It's the perfect finale for one of the most unique series in gaming ever! Everything about it is incredible, from the addictive and challenging, yet fair and familiar gameplay, to the stunning graphics that blend retro and modern like never before, to the emotional and thrilling soundtrack that is bound to make you burst into tears, to the perfect way of concluding CommanderVideo's adventure, I'll say it again. BIT.TRIP FLUX is a masterpiece!

This game is great. It's not my absolute favorite of the 6 Bit.Trip games, but it is a ton of fun for the price. Basically Flux is Beat with lots of small improvements - the balance of difficult vs easy sections is much better, you can make a lot more mistakes and still keep going, the graphics are better, etc, etc. Honestly there's not a whole lot I can say in favor of this game besides saying it is Bit.Trip.Beat 2.0, but that is enough for me. If you only ever buy one Bit.Trip game, get Runner, but if you're like me, and enjoy all 7 games Gaijin has published so far, you'll love this one. Graphics: 10/10 (for the Wii, and Gaijin games in general) Sound: 10/10 (these games are *all* about the music and FX and this release does not dissapoint) Gameplay: 8/10 (a little dissapointed this is a remake more than an original game, but it is still extremely fun!) Overall: 9/10. Buy it, you won't regret it.
