Although some may get hung up on comparisons to relatively recent titles, stunt driving has been a staple on the App Store and Bike Baron is one of the best, sporting rock solid controls; difficulty scaling from easy to ludicrous; and community shareable levels for near endless content.

For a small fee, Bike Baron offers a really fun cross/trial bike game. It is a great success from every point of view: super playable, and with cool animations, it allows you to run with an old guy's bike on many chaotic levels, in 4 different difficulty settings (Easy to Extreme). Those challenges are easy at first, but they quickly become very difficult and addictive. The game even features a track editor, with the ability to share your work with others. An excellent surprise on iOS platforms.

In a sense, Bike Baron lacks originality. But when it comes to the outstanding level design, high visual polish, and uniqueness in being the only great game of its kind on the App Store, it's hard to criticize the developers for being influenced by some great games and wanting to perfect that formula for a different platform.

Bike Baron is a game that provides fun and frustration in equal measure, but balances these at just the right level to perfectly hit that 'one more go' approach. Fans of Trials style games shouldn't hesitate to pick this one up.

Overall, the immense difficulty of Bike Baron makes it a poor choice for any gamers who become frustrated easily. For those who enjoy a challenge, few games are more enjoyable than Bike Baron.

Bike Baron is a refreshing relic from the shareware era, but it takes some from the one of the greatest XBLA successes. This iPad version of the TrialsHD is sometimes painfully difficult, but extremely fun at the same time. [Dec 2011]

It's the closest thing to Trials HD you can get on iOS, but its difficulty gets overly frustrating at times.

It owes much to Trials HD, but Bike Baron is one of the most addictive iOS games around.
