Beyblades: Metal Masters has some great ideas but falls short on many different levels. Having to play through the Arcade mode 30 times to unlock new characters and the "Let it rip" sections before every match are a nuisance. The gameplay is, for the most part solid, but if you are not a fan of the series already, it will be difficult to really enjoy this game.
This gets boring really fast. Only young, die-hard franchise fans should give this a try!
Fans will love the chance to create their own beyblade, but the repetitive gameplay kills all the fun.

Beyblade Metal Masters is fun because each Beyblade has different combos, and you can chain attacks if you learn the tricks. The story is very simple, arcade-style: you defeat several enemies to reach the boss, and unlock characters as you beat the game with each one. Still, it’s enjoyable! Fans of the anime will like customizing their Beyblades and defeating opponents.

The nice thing– or problem, depending on how you look at it– about Beyblade: Metal Masters is that it holds no pretensions as to what kind of game it is, or who it's for. Buy Beyblade: Metal Masters and you're buying it for the top-fighting experience that is probably the only one of its (video game) kind.

Beyblade doesn't really work as a fighting game, so I don't think this game is all that great. Download play is kind of boring (you can only use two Beyblades) and arcade mode kind of falls flat. The Beyblade customization option is pretty cool, though.
