Despite its limitations and the somewhat painful sense of déjà vu that it will inevitably inspire in anyone familiar with Tennis in the Face, Baseball Riot nonetheless remains an entertaining, addictive and incredibly well made experience.

Baseball Riot contains a lot of content for a low price point, but it will only really be enjoyed in short bursts. The gameplay is easy to learn but difficult to master.

A funny and mobile-like game, capable of delivering several hours of casual - and a bit repetitive - enjoyment.

My only complaint would be that this game still feels like a mobile phone title and doesn't really do anything special to make it stand out on consoles.

With a little bit more polish this could have been a home run, but as it is, it slides safely into first base. [Feb 2016, p.87]

Baseball Riot is a fun little puzzle game that is nice for a while. After that, it gets so repetitive and frustrating, that it just does not do it for us.

Baseball Riot could've done more with its gameplay to stretch its wings and not try to be another Angry Birds. Instead, it just doesn't do enough, and only hardcore baseball fans – or those seeking out an interesting but flawed puzzle game – will want to invest. Everyone else can easily look elsewhere to take their batting practice.

Although Baseball Riot has its fun moments and I could probably see myself playing it when I have nothing else to do sitting in a Doctor’s office, it’s not something I would sit down to play at home. Anyone sinking money into this title for their console might regret that decision and wish they had tossed a few bucks on it in the app store instead.

More than anything, it's the crushing lack of originally that really does let down Baseball Riot.
