Saved my life. I came into this game a broken man, and left whole. I came into it with a broken marriage, but using the skills i learned from this game i was able to reconnect with my beautiful wife and 2 kids.

Usually, you don't need graphics to make a good game. But, if you have good graphics and a good game, it's a 3/5 at least from me. But Bad Rats just makes the player have full control of the rats and the way you place them. In conclusion, Portal 2 was the next big step for puzzle games, but Bad Rats pushes it even further. 10/10 would play anytime.

It's the original bad Steam game (okay maybe not the original but it was one of the first ones to achieve joke status). Still, I played this game originally for a YouTube video. However I could not get past the tutorial. This game is utterly shocking. The game is horrible to look at. The tutorial is painfully long and unbearable to listen to. I get the game was probably made as a joke, but come on **** friend with no prior experience in game design made a better game in a weekend for Ludum Dare than you **** you want to make a good joke game; at least make sure that I'm not considering blowing up my PC after playing 5 minutes of it. Okay let's just get straight to the point here. There are a number of games out there which are, to be subtle about it, seriously awful. This game surprisingly actually isn't. Okay so the graphics look like something from a 90s arcade game and the gameplay itself is no different either. The physics system doesn't seem to know whether it's coming or going. But it's not all that bad. There are some interesting and slightly entertaining moments to be had throughout most of the game, although some are fairly disturbing. Take for example one level you are forced to microwave a cat and another you cut one to pieces with a chainsaw, which I'm sure the RSPCA with have a thing or two to say about. To be fair the game is somewhat unique, which some might argue isn't a good thing. But I'm afraid this game gets a down vote from me. Mainly because there are numerous games out there that very similar to Bad Rats but execute the idea a lot better. Games that are cheaper and aren't as infuriating and frustrating to play. Overall I would say that if you do want a physics based puzzle game look elsewhere. But if you want to brutally murder furry felines and end up with a hole through your screen, go ahead, buy bad rats. But seriously I don't recommend you do. Good day!

As a fan and experienced player of all kinds of strategy games, from Total War titles to Paradox Grand Strategy Games to the Original X-COMs, I was surprised by the high quality and difficulty of gameplay this game has. Despite being released in 2009 by a small publisher, this game has better graphics than modern AAA titles, near endless hours of playtime, a compelling and emotional story, and physics more realistic than real life. I would gladly pay $100 for this game, and thank the merciful developers who sell the game for only 99 cents on Steam. P.S. This game makes a great gift to friends.

The best part is the music and story. In this game, you must use cannon rats, baseball rats, and alahu ak bar rats, and many more to kill some innocent cat. That's the basis of the story. Sounds simple, right? No. The plot twists and deaths of many of your favorite characters pull at your heart strings, and the music conforms itself to be a perfect match with every scene. The only con is the exclusion of the announced, but previously canceled Tow Mater DLC.

Like most, Bad Rats: The Rats Revenge somehow found its way into my steam library, and of course I had to start it up. What transpired next was what I could only describe as transcendental crisis in the form of a schizophrenic seizure in which I experienced the infernal machine we have come to know as our divine being. In his speech to me I saw the universe as it was created and Bad Rats was at its center; each level playing out before me, all of the logarithms it was created with designing the very structure of the world around us. It was a decent game. 0/10

Bad Rats is the intellectual brain child of PTSD veterans returning from their service over-seas. It accurately depicts the effects of a hellish landscape on the human psyche where rats as well as cats are terrorist scum. My first 78 hour play-thru was thoroughly enjoyed and the following play-thrus didn't lose their magic. If you want to connect to your depressed, mentally scarred grandfather, I highly recommend this game. Kevin James is fat. 10/10, would play again

An unmatched classic. Game of the year every year. Bad Rats is an experience of true soul discovering and philosophical quest. The perfection of the gameplay makes you question your own existence, your life and what you accomplished. There never will be art like Bad Rats. I sold my Xbox One just so I can play Bad Rats via Steam. The Xbox One library is decent however, it doesn't have great exclusives like this. Xbox and Playstation need to get better exclusives games because none of them can fulfill my rat fetish. With top of the line graphics, flawless gameplay, infinite replay value, and beautiful tear jerking story, I couldn't recommend this game enough.

This game although it may seem simple to an uneducated viewer pushes the metaphorical envelope in ways that are unprecedented in gaming's long history. A nice example of this is the unique physics engine; too many games take a deterministic approach to physics making the same setup always lead to the exact same result. Bad rats however breaks away from this relic of gaming's past and uses a rng to mimic the fundamental quantum uncertainty in the world we live in. The game also has surprising depth (quite literally) as although it may seem at first that the playing field is a simple 2d area, the type of which has been done many times before, soon objects will roll off into the third dimension, out of the reach of your puny 2d rats. Overall if you don't play this masterpiece **** then you are missing out on one of the defining works of the 21st century.

This is quite honestly the best game I have ever played, at least in the puzzle genre. The randomness of the course of events adds a layer of confusion and wonder to the game. I can have a setup that doesn't work the first time but without changing anything it works the second time. There is nothing better than this game in the puzzle genre, Portal doesn't hold a candle to this wondrous game.
