Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a fantastic game. Let me repeat that: It’s a fantastic game. The lingering control issues (and even these are minimized) and some minor pacing issues as a result of the two-protagonist approach can’t taint this gargantuan project.

It's not a groundbreaking game, but it's an iteration that better knows how to please the fans of the franchise. A good narrative and charming characters help us to uncover the mysteries of London in spite of the bugs we find here and there.

Finally, we have a stealth mode. And it changes many things. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate isn't a revolutionary game (it's obvious) but, Ubisoft tried new mechanics on the twins. Most importantly: It works (unlike AC:Unity).

The Assassin's saga is starting to feel a bit tired when it comes to structure and gameplay, but Syndicate does pretty much everything that Unity tried to do better (well, except for the multiplayer, completely taken out of the game), and grabs the player's attention with great characters and finally a decent storyline. Also, the virtual London is splendid, but you expected that, right?

Even though Syndicate does not struggle with the same issues as Unity, there are a few annoying elements to it. That is frustrating, but they do not 'break' the game. The characters are interesting and the location where this adventure happens is gory and gorgeous at the same time. Syndicate is definitely worth playing.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate lets you science the shit out of murder in a city where people are sciencing the shit out of everything. There's an undeniable appeal to that. But it’s an appeal worth looking in the face.

Syndicate is a massive shame. Ubisoft’s yearly development cycle is really beginning to leave its mark on the series. Assassin’s Creed has been good. It is a series that can be great, but unfortunately Syndicate is a misstep. For a series concerned with making its players historical tourists, it is ironic that it is so stuck in the past.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is the most boring run of all, a complete piece of crap that started the destruction of the franchise - weak script and acting, one-dimensional characters: flat and shallow, absurd combat system and miserable parkour. Complete disregard for the history of the series, which developed for so many years 0/10. Only 1 point can be added for the good DLC The Dreadful Crimes and the missions about WW2.

Only now I think of reviewing it after years, unfortunately there is not much to add, it had a lot of potential, similar to unity with even more revolutionary mechanics that are also felt in Ac shadows, the most recent chapter of the saga. However, even if revolutionary, it does not have a plot and gameplay engaging enough to push you to continue it

London is designed beautifully, you feel like you are actually in a great, vibrant city from the Victorian era. And that's it, the plot is practically non-existent, the characters are boring and flat, the combat frustrating - massively wasted potential. You can play the game just to run around the city and that's it.
