If you are already invested in the series then playing Revelations isn't even an option - it's mandatory. The story is just too important, and frankly, this is the best in the series when it comes to story and action sequences, and not even misplaced tower defense distraction and endless city domination missions can hold it back.

Before its release we prayed Revelations to become a true ending of series. Now we can only hope this wasn't the last time we met Ezio. [Dec 2011]
As it stands Assassin's Creed: Revelations is worth playing, but not as a premium title. The content is thin, the game isn't as interesting, and Ubisoft shouldn't have diluted the game to make a yearly cycle. In a glut of other games to buy during the holiday season, it just doesn't stand out as a must-have.

Assassin's creed revelations ist für mich der perfekte Abschluss für die Ezio Trilogie und dass man vorallem Altair wieder spielen kann macht das Spiel noch besser.

The third and final entry in the "Ezio" trilogy is the weakest. It links Ezio's latter days with the past adventures of Altair, the protagonist of the first "Assassin's Creed". Gameplay is fun, but it lacks the freshness of AC II and the excitement of "Brotherhood". Still, this is a must play for fans of Ezio. I'd rate it with an 8.1 out of 10.

It's an incredibly big game - the amount of secrets, side missions or challenges can be overwhelming even for an experienced fan of the series. What is surprising is a very high quality of almost all these elements. Beginning with an engrossing storyline, ending with a well done system of making your own grenades. With a project of that scale it was hard to be perfect - defending your hideouts could be made better and long loading screens can frustrate a little.

Revelations is quite similar to Brotherhood, but there are a lot of minor additions that make it an excellent game. On the other hand, Ubisoft can't go on for long updating this glorious franchise every year with such improvements.

However, unlike Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which came off feeling entirely like filler, Revelations has just enough assassiny goodness to sate your bloodlust while also feeling very important to understanding all of the heroes so far, even Desmond.

Worth Playing
Assassin's Creed: Revelations is still an adventure that no fan should be without, if only because it leads right into the next chapter. At the same time, the underwhelming start to an otherwise intriguing story, alongside changes that seem more cosmetic than practical, makes it seem that the formula hasn't aged as well as Ezio has.

On the bright side, the game usually sticks to what it does best. And what Revelations does best is to set you free in a magnificent city, where you skyrocket across the rooftops, letting the gorgeous sights and evocative music transport you to another life and another century.

It could have been great as a DLC for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but as a standalone game it doesn't work that well.

Assassin's Creed Revelations is not an outright bad game, but neither is it a good one. In a series that has seen this many interesting ideas, such mediocrity amounts to a disaster. Thanks to slipshod implementation, none of the new features in Revelations improve the Assassin's Creed experience, and some make it noticeably worse. As such, the only thing that Revelations really adds to the series is the feeling of being cheated.

Heck gameplay and graphics and online modes and everything you want. Ac revelations was what represents dopamine of playing a video game and the sense of gaming that no longer exists in todays games. Play the game and enjoy it ! daydream about being an assassin and stick a pen with a tape on your wrist as if it is your secret blade like the good old days that will never comeback in this shi**y dark world we live in.

Just like ac 2 and ac brotherhood. Maybe it was too much to make three consecutive games exactly the same way. But story is very good

Ezio parkour's through history once more, with a beautifully rendered Constantinople as his new home. The scenes set in modern times make for a change of pace, but otherwise there's little to choose between this and the previous game aside from yet more side missions and bells and whistles that actually add little to the narrative. It's still a great game, but if you already own Brotherhood, there's not much point in buying this too.
