Glimmers of a great throwback are here but nothing holds up upon close inspection. Missions lack depth while this combat was better left in the past. [Issue#34, p.86]

Assassin's Creed Mirage is a nice mixture of old and new. The look and feel of this more focused adventure match that of earlier entries, whilst going back to it's roots with the focus on stealth. Deep skill trees and a gigantic map have been swapped for a slimmed down Bagdad and a few skills to choose from. Fans of the Ezio and Altaïr era are going to feel at home right away, and even the mediocre story and the nagging bug now and then, are not going stop you from having a fun trip down memory lane.

Assassin's Creed Mirage takes elements from the modern and classic era of the franchise to give us an experience that works halfway. However, bland combat and a predictable story mean that it fails to stand alongside other much-loved installments and does not allow it to be the triumphant return many wanted.

After more than a dozen iterations, you'd think they would at least learn to keep some of the good parts of this series. They didn't. Overwhelmingly, the problem is the controls. I can honestly say that over my playthrough, I only ever failed or was discovered because the controls don't work. Some examples:
-Button prompt to assassinate, but instead you do an open attack
-Trying to attack or assassinate, but character does nothing
-Dodging or parrying that just doesn't register
-Climbing can often take several seconds before it registers you want to keep going. On any given mission, I would say there is an 80% chance you will encounter at least one of these. If it causes you to fail, you'll likely have to redo 20 minutes or more. Even when the controls work, the game is unbelievably boring.
The setting is bland. The traversal is incredibly painful. The story ****. The combat is horrendous. it consists of nothing more than pressing to attack or dodge or parry. No combos. No cool move set or animations. Combined with the fact the controls don't work, you want to avoid combat at all costs. Even the stealth gameplay is terrible. You can literally just hide in some bushes, whistle, and assassinate the guy who comes. Even if in open view of other enemies, they don't see you and will just follow one after the next. This was nothing more than a quick cash grab.
Luckily I played it free on PS Plus... but still not worth the price of entry.

This game is so close to my heart. The visuals, characters, and setting were displayed so beautifully. The gameplay was fun and I adore Basim Ibn Ishaq. I often find myself just exploring the world and immersing myself in this wonderful game. I love that you can play oud in the new DLC, such a beautiful addition to a game so rich with Arab culture. I will ALWAYS download the DLCs for Mirage and Basims storyline/setting forever.

Nice to see another Assassin’s Creed game to explain yet another exciting story on another character, well done Ubisoft.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is an excellent homage to the past and a well-realized title in its own merits. Evoking elements that made the franchise a huge success and marrying them with several of the improvements made in recent games, it is a great game and it has a beautiful approach to telling the story of one of the most intriguing characters in the franchise: Basim.

Mirage is more of a tribute that a return to the classics, but the setting, the level design and the reasonable length are welcome changes to make Assassin’s Creed more enjoyable for the fans of the first games.

If you're a long-time Assassin's Creed fan that fondly remembers the early entries of the series, you're likely to love Assassin's Creed Mirage. Those who have found the last trio of entries simply too big will appreciate its sharper focus, too. While it does little to propel the series forward mechanically, it's a return to what made it stand out in the first place: an open world stealth game where hiding in plain sight and making use of your parkour skills is key. Factor in the brilliant setting and some challenging assassination scenarios, and you have a game that pays homage to the series' roots while successfully standing on its own two feet.

Assassin's Creed Mirage recalls the chapters of the "pre role-playing" era with a certain effectiveness, with a system of notoriety that pushes you to return to anonymity with the means at Basim's disposal. Between the pleasant exploration of Baghdad - well characterized and equipped with the right amount of secondary activities - and interesting main missions, at least as regards level design and approach methods, Ubisoft Bordeaux has created a valid and fun experience, but not without quality problems and fluctuations. The problems related mostly to the martial choreography of the battles are accompanied by a narrative segment that is not as incisive as we hoped and stealth phases impoverished by unrefined enemy AI and offensive solutions that are all too effective.

Assassin's Creed Mirage sets off in search of its roots, and it finds them — both for better and worse. Undeniably basic in its approach to stealth and combat, it feels oddly dated in terms of design, but it's also a refreshing reminder of the series' original strengths. Ultimately, it's a solid sandbox title, and it successfully scratches the hidden blade itch that was so clearly absent in Odyssey and Valhalla.

Mirage ought to have been more than the dim illusion of where Assassin’s Creed has already traveled.

MT Cgame es increible, estaba buscando una pagina donde poder comprar diamantes para juegos moviles, y encontre la pagina perfecta, es la primera vez que la uso y tuve un problema ya que mis diamantes no llegaban a mi cuenta.

It was very nice to play the part, which is very reminiscent of the original assassin in its tempo. It's great that we made such a base. Keep moving in the same spirit. But the plot is for 1 time. I don't want to go through again.

Back to the roots. Simple, loved Baghdad but there is something missing in it. Not sure what... plot? yeah. Plot felt not really special, a little generic. Also pretty short, so much you could do, Ubisoft... Would recommend though.

You end up fighting the mechanics more than the enemies, not to mention the bugs. The story is dull, the characters are unappealing. The world looks fine, but there’s nothing here you haven’t seen in any other average game. Not worth your time, let alone your money.
