Instead of building on ACC: China’s formula, Climax Studios delivered more of the same, just more annoying. [03/2016, p.66]

Wastes the potential of its predecessor with its wonky difficulty curve and frequent frustrations. [March 2016, p.78]

The problem with this game is that it frequently forces stealth on you. Almost 90% of the game is either stealth or time bound. When it is stealth the bad controls get in the way because everything takes too many seconds. When it's time bound then also it's a horrible experience because the time is kept way too short for each area. Combine all these things with the fact that you can't really look around the area and sometimes unexpected actions are performed (the same control is bound to multiple things) you have a mayham of poor gameplay. Very poor testing done on this game. Either that or the PMs who decided to push such a stress-laden crap took the wrong call.

Um jogo que deveria ser simples e intuitivo, mas que se perde na sua tentativa de se complexificar com mecânicas e controles frustrantes, sem adicionar muito em relação ao seu antecessor

While the core mechanics remain functionally the same, that (even more) exotic setting and (lesser known) time period, brilliant environment design and brief, but effective, narrative all combine to make something that offers just that little bit more.

It steals elements from the classic Prince of Persia games. AC India requires some patience and its focus on stealth and platforming gives it an old school charm that diminishes its technical flaws.

Literally perfect. There are no words that can describe just how good this video game is. Arbaaz Mir is the most charismatic, charming main character in any video game. The level design surpasses every other game on the market. The story cannot even be comprehended by the human mind due due to how good it is. Don't listen to anybody else, for they have been mistaken. My eyes have been opened to the greatest video game experience in my life. 10/10

India is a new entry in the platformer and stealth themed Chronicles series, and as its first iteration it mixes a lot of nice gameplay elements with interesting results.

A perfect example of "woulda, coulda, shoulda." There are so many highlights glinting out from this pile of mediocrity; if only the developers could've tied them all together, then we'd be treated to a more vivid and consistent display.

By remaining focused and paring down the extra content, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a stealth game through and through.

Either way, ACC: India manages to keep the stealth gameplay fun, while the open combat still leaves room for improvement.

The dialogue is dull, the art style doesn't look good at all, and the game just doesn't have much appeal. It's certainly not bad, it's just so bang average that you'll have seen it all before.

Assassins Creed Chronicles India More Fun than China, but still not fun Chronicles india is a 2d stealth platformer where you play as Arbaaz Mir, after a gem as well as his boo.. This is a much more personal story than chronicles china, making it far more skippable and unimportant however this game does take care of some issues of the previous game in this trilogy. Chronicles India is about 7 hours long which made it a longer experience than chronicles china, but not necessarily a more enjoyable one. Here your goal is to get through each of this games chapters section by section. Each starts with a cutscene of still images, and youre thrown into the world and your goal is to either kill everyone with combat or stealth, or sneak through unseen… And unless you don’t care about upgrades you have no other choice as youre graded at the end and earn points.. The game takes away gameplay freedom by forcing you to stick to one play style and one play style only in each section if you want more health, a larger helix bar, or to carry more consumable items… These sections are far more enjoyable to get through than chrinicles china were for example though.. Much less frustrating, much less trial and error… I felt more free form, understanding what to do instantly. All of the same mechanics are here of dashing through hiding spots, filling a meter to make you unstable for a limited time or able to dash through hiding spots unseen, but the tools are different.. here youre still able to whistle or throwobjects to make sound and distract, but different is the ability to throw an item to cut ropes which in rare cases allows you the opportunity to drop objects on enemies heads, and smoke bombs which are useful for getting past annoying patrol… Chronicles india is much less focused on combat this time as well.. Every level is set up for you to find assassination opportunities, as certain enemies can only be taken out with ledge kills for example… you have to time patrol pattern, make sure no one else is around during mandatory clear the room missions… I had more fun strategizing here… reminding me of the arkham games predator challenges at times but if things do resort to combat this game just falls apart.. What the chronicles games do poorly that the main games nail is the idea that your character is proficient in both combat and stealth.. here youre dead in one to two hits.. you can dodge bullets, and parry, but a lot of the time it isn’t going to matter.. there are too many enemies to dealth with and it becomes overwhelming… combat just isn’t fun and its needlessly difficult… id much rather this game be stealth focused and make you lose points if youre detected, but being detected not being an issue.. you can still fight your way out.. you just don’t get the upgrades at the end of the level.. but that’s not how it works.. youre punished by having to redo sections all over again… Like chronicles china this game shines when it focuess on platforming and chases… its thrilling at times to be running, sliding and slaying fools while an elephant chases you, or hopping from building to building or from cube to cube, dodging death rays in eden temples.. I said it before and Ill say it again… These would be great games if they were just 5 hours of that…running and platforming… or even if it were primarily that and you did the stealth bits on occasion but the way it is now with the endless stealth sections and griding makes these games ultimately feel like a frustrating unfun chore… And with a poor story unlike chinas, its one hardly worth getting through. I give Assassins Creed Chronicles India a 6/10

What Kind of Adventure? 2-D Platformer Was it fun? I was disappointed in this game. I really liked China but then they changed the game mechanics and I lost interest. Are there any similar games? Assassins Creed China. Would you play it again? No, I tried to like this game but just didn’t. Any Complaints? Yes, why did they have to change so much of the game? China was so well made and then people complained so they made changes and sadly made it worse. How many hours did you play it? About 3 hours and then I decided that I didn’t want to play anymore.
