Animal Force is a simple VR tower defence, suitable for those who want to approach this genre for the first time, but its party games can give everyone a lot of fun.

Animal Force has a cool idea, as it introduces gamers to tower defense in 360 degrees. But its execution feels more like a tech demo than a fully fleshed-out game.

While Animal Force makes a valiant effort to bring some changes to the tower defence genre, and take advantage of VR, and it only manages to clear the its okay bar. It has some nice touches, and an appealing art style, but it also has very linear, repetitive gameplay, a steep difficulty curve and some very bizarre gameplay decisions that prevent it from being as good as it could have been.

If you love tower defense games you will like Animal Force, but be prepared to repetitiveness and some confusion.

At its heart this two year old 3D tower defense game with its deceptive looks is a fun title to play but the hardcore difficulty will cause a lot of frustration even to the most veteran players among us. The multiplayer mini games are fun for a couple of times, but no more than that. A mediocre title at best.

Animal Force presents an interesting basic idea, which unfortunately has not been developed in a concrete way.

Animal Force is fun when it wants to be, but equally as frustrating. If you can get past that and focus on the sheer chaos of tower defense in a virtual space, then Animal Force may have something to offer.

A potentially interesting twist in the usual tower defense formula, smashed by poor and repetitive gameplay.

Animal Force starts off as a nice tower defense game in VR, but it swiftly changes into this big task that is simply not fun to finish due to bad choices in design.
