The story moves at a snail’s pace with clunky dialogue and a complete lack of the suspense needed to make a thriller work. Plots come and go without conclusion, and – worst of all – it’s boring. The acting is just the nail in the coffin.

Lazarus is far from faultless and all too easily falls into the “watchable but forgettable” genre that nearly all Coben-verse shows fall into.

In the blink of an eye, this slowburn drama switches into the psychological thriller we were promised from the outset, putting wheels in motion for the three episodes to come. The Guest is a series I am more than happy to welcome into my living room.

There’s certainly some gripes to have with Coldwater, every now and again doing something so wild it throws you out of the realistic world that’s been created, and sometimes edging over the thrilling-ridiculous line in the wrong direction. But it does pull itself back when it needs to, creating a show that is all too easy to want more of.

Ava Max’s “Sweet But Psycho” blasting over the final episode’s credits made me audibly groan. But The Girlfriend is otherwise sexy and slick. It’s a perfectly easy watch that’s sure to get people talking – and taking sides.

It’s Norton and Coster-Waldau’s shoulders with whom the drama’s success truly lies, and with them leading the charge, it’s clear the BBC is heading towards a true victory.

Wednesday season two is an absolute delight… though she’d kill us if she heard us say it.

As the show continues fundamental elements of the story become lost in muddled subplots and twists, and in turn, Insomnia loses its way. Despite scrambling to tie up its loose ends, key questions are brushed over dismissively and ironically, you're left feeling more dazed and confused than ever.

In the four episodes available at the time of writing, it has made a strong start for what could be a great series – but if it doesn’t learn to rein itself in, I could see it hitting the slab just as quickly.

Don’t expect groundbreaking drama –We Were Liars is far from a teen Big Little Lies. But if you want to enjoy some rich mansion property porn, something pulpy to switch your brain off to, and a juicy little mystery, then We Were Liars may just be the perfect summer watch.
