It’s frustrating because all of the elements are there but Interrogation unknowingly sacrifices its own quality by allowing us to choose where to go.

While it’s not entirely successful, the directing team’s approach is certainly skillful, and McMillions is definitely a fun watch.

The series has many faults, often gets lost in its own self-indulgence, but it’s easy to admire how much effort they’re putting into making something for a queer audience—both new and old.

The Case Against Adnan Syed, at least in the first three hours, isn't a groundbreaking docuseries nor will it lead to another frenzy of obsessives. It's mostly just a well-done addendum to a well-known story: a few extra notes, a new theory here or there, an interesting visit or phone call that quickly gets dropped.

The Good Cop is all over the place, which often makes it amusing to watch, though perhaps not in the way the creator intended. ... But, there is something almost... pleasant about The Good Cop. It’s light, sometimes fun, and casually watchable.

If Sweetbitter were longer, I suspect it would lose much of its charm, but six 30-minute episodes is a welcome antidote to the number of television dramas with bloated episode runtimes. Rather than overstay its welcome, it remains fun and breezy.

The base premise is familiar to fans of crime series, but this is no ordinary drama; it’s eerie and haunting. It’s less dreamy (a quality frequently ascribed to the film) and more of a nightmare that you’ll be eager to dive into.

Despite all of the intrigue, many of the non-sci-fi conflicts within The Crossing feel predictable. We’ve seen the small town sheriff vs. the big-city detective plenty of times before, and Jude and Emma don’t add much to the trope--they just fall into their natural resentful roles.
