Very frustrating RNG-based game. Most puzzles require you to be lucky (you need to draw the right succession of rooms) and are not challenging, in the end.
I'm a big JRPG fan and I even liked Nier Replicant a lot but Nier Automata didn't contain anything I like about a game and eapecially exploration. The story does not make any sense. Also thought we would know a bit more about Emile since it's a major character in Replicant but here, he's just a normal seller NPC.
I didn't expect much from this game but I was pleasantly surprised. Although the story is very kid-oriented and linear, it is nicely told and even has an interesting twist at the end. I admire the smooth switch from 2D to 3D which should inspire many other games.
Why did they oversimplify the game? I'm not talking about combats but all the other aspects have been made so easy that it kills the experience to me. In addition, the story is not as engaging as the first one and lacks coherence at times.
Way too easy, not much diversity, game length is extremely short (some demos are longer) and no replayability. Yeah right, it took time to draw the landscape by hand but it's not the first game to do this. Buy Gris, Inside, Brothers, Chants of Sennaar instead.
Despite several issues due to it's very complicated development, I can only recommend playing FFXV. Mostly for its characters development and a little bit for its story (do the DLCs after you finish the game and watch short Ardyn movie, it brings a lot to the lore).
I don't get why this game has been so over rated. Graphics are quite old fashioned (it looks like a ps3 game). Enemy AI is non existing. Good point is the level design and environment which has been done with care. I won't speak of the lore since I've only played for a couple of hours but so far it's not very compelling.
Amazing game which is now the best game of space exploration ever. One of the few games receiving continuous free updates with tons of content. New expeditions every 6 months give you new objectives and unique items making you travel through the best places in NMS. Hope physical ps5 release will be a success because this game deserves it.
Just finished the game. I give a 5 because it's an average game in everything. Nothing is fantastic, nothing is badly done. It's valid for the competence system, music ans sound design, graphics and animation, story and background, humor.
Got it for free via PSNow, so difficult to say if it's worth buying. Interface, although extremely simple, is quite enjoyable and the fact some people have to turn around/close their eyes while others are looking at the screen didn't disturb us much. However, content is clearly lacking: most questions are for people aged 40+ and there's not enough themes available. So a game you will play once or twice and then forget about it
If you like anything with a good story, you will love it. Don't expect too much about interactivity and somnium scenes, as you will only have to follow predefined paths. But my! It's the fist visual novel I play and what a game !!! Even in movies, I've never seen a scenario which is so deep while still being coherent and understandable. Definitely deserves 10/10
This game is like a book you're reading in a random order: basically, you move and read pages and it's up to you to make the whole story out of it. But graphics are very poor, interactivity is reduced to the minimum and overall story is not that great nor original. So I'm really missing why the critics were so positive about this game, must have missed something. BTW, don't pay attention to the people telling this game is short. Yes, true, it can be finished in less than 1 minute (it's one of the trophies) but it can also be rather long if you try to discover all of the secrets of the house (there are other trophies about it).
I have always been a fan of Indiana Jones. With Uncharted, expect the same kind of humor, never ending action scenes, gorgeous landscapes and magical artifacts. Each chapter is unique and takes you through a real story: it's not just "here's the intro, go and get the villains and we'll brief you afterwards". Prefer the "difficult" level so that the game gets more realistic: in normal difficulty, you can often jump in the middle of the group and get the villains using fists, uncovered and there is generally no need keep quiet and stealth.
