Initially this game is very addictive. But after a while it's pretty apparent that it is yet another pay to win game. The randomly generated maze consists of different parts that repeats throughout the game. So it's not exactly completely random. You will notice that there is a pattern to it all, which makes it a bit predictable. The power-ups are for the most part very fun, but it is extremely pricey to upgrade them beyond level 5-6. And also there is a power-up called Beam, the most powerful in the game, which only early players could buy. After playing this game for several weeks, I think that there should be more varied quests to earn credits. Because now there are just "pick up five cherries" or "pick up five power-ups" of this or that type, which gets very boring (maybe because they want you to pay for credits with real money?). And there's no indication on how far you have traveled through the maze, this would be a very cool addition. I do like the concept that the kill screen is always chasing you to get you. That makes it a very exciting take on Pac-Man. I really do like this. Overall it's a nice game and I hope they will make a sequel to this with more content, more variation. And I'm not just talking about different skins but more mechanics to the actual gameplay and more challenges and stuff that makes the game interesting.

BotW was 10/10 in my opinion. It brought on something new and fresh. Tears of the Kingdom is reusing the same world, music and most assets from BotW. It feels, as several others have pointed out, like a DLC for BotW. I would have given it a higher score if the game was priced reasonably, but it's not ($70 for a "DLC").

About the Switch port: It plays great in handheld mode (30fps stable), but the graphics are seriously blurry (it's 576p but looks like 360p at times). When you play in docked mode it looks better, however the input lag skyrockets to the point that it's almost unbearable to play (the worst input lag i've encountered in a switch game so far). The UI is not reworked for the Switch - the fonts are super tiny and in handheld mode it's painfully hard to read. A little more work here and it would make a huge difference to the overall experience.

The Switch port is extremely polished and looks just damn great. The interface is intuitive and has large icons and large fonts, it loads blazingly fast and yeah, this is currently the best point'n'click for Switch.

Love this game on the XBOX, so I thought I'd grab it to play it on-the-go on the Switch. Wish I didn't! Playing this in docked mode is OK, but in handheld mode it's a disgrace! Game performance in handheld mode is so sluggish it's unacceptable. I've rarely seen a more janky game. Thunderful/Megagon should be ashamed to release a game in this state. Haven't they heard about quality control? $20 down the drain. Hate that I cannot refund my purchase. Oh, and the game is prone to crashes too, showing a black screen saying "The software closed because an error occured."

This dungeon crawler has a surprisingly deep battle system and lots of customisations for different strategies. The layout of the first dungeons are pretty hardcore, so I could agree somewhat with "Dr5gonkiller96"'s review. However I think some of the fun is that it's a bit challenging. The humour and quirkiness gets a bit old after a while, but the pokemon "gotta catch'em all" monster girl action concept keeps it somewhat interesting. What I can say about the technicalities of the game is: - There are slowdowns when played in handheld mode - It's impossible to play it only in docked mode because it relies too much on touch screen controls (rubbing the girls) - The audio quality is sometimes very crappy (dialogue is good, but sound effects suffer) - Random encounters **** in this game, even if you have equipped several companions to reduce the encounter rate, it has literally no effect - you WILL get a random battle every 10 seconds throughout. - The all-too-frequent random encounters also introduces some of the worst decision ever to the audio, which is to restart the background music every time you finish a battle. It means that you will never listen to more than 10-15 seconds of the music for each dungeon. I cannot believe this stupid decision. - They added an auto-battle system, but you need to start it for every encounter and hold fast-forward, and you cannot tweak it. So it's good, but feels lacking at the same time. - Auto-pilot, you can specify where to walk after you've traversed the map. It's a great feature because it works over several floors - but again it is lacking because it is interrupted by random encounters and you have to confirm every time you want to enter a new floor. So a bit mixed bag this one too. - The graphics are great, very good details, especially in docked mode. - The menu system could be better and faster, but it works ok. All in all a fun game, but could be improved in several ways.

This is an over-the-top action platformer with destructable environments and lots of humour. I have previously played this on PS4 - which is an absolutely abomiation of ports (severe slowdowns, muffled audio, glitches ++), so I was VERY pleased to see that this port is running in 60fps without any slowdowns I could notice - audio is great too, and quick loading times. Absolutely a brilliant port! This is how it's done! Kudos to the devs!

I feel it's always a gamble when buying games for the Switch because you never know what to expect performance wise. This is another poorly optimized Switch port **** game (I previously played this on the XSX). The game targets 60fps, but it rarely holds that. You have to get used to the slowdowns to get into the game, and that ****, especially when getting killed jarring through fps down in the 20s. In some very small rooms it can do 60fps. Another distracting issue with the Switch port is edge artifacts when moving (edges of the objects on screen flash white, looking glitchy), it happens a bit too often. This is a dark game, and the options doesn't include a gamma/brightness slider which is a shame. Seeing other more demanding games running silky smooth on the Switch, this just screams lazy porting. Note: I've only played it in docked mode. With some better optimizing & fix this game would get a solid 8 or maybe even a 9 from me because I really do love the game on other platforms.

This is one of my favourite Switch games of all time. It's fast, fun, challenging, has excellent level design, thumping music and good replayability. It supports gyro aiming too, which is absolutely brilliant. But why only 7/10? As so many Switch games, this too suffers from bad optimisation. The 3D graphics in docked mode looks no better than 480p-540p. In the first few chapters the framerate locks to a good 60fps. But unfortunately, later in the game there are huge slowdowns. During the last 3 chapters expect periods of drops down in the 20s. It's really sad that such an amazing game should suffer because the Switch can clearly do much better in terms of performance. But that said, I still have had a lot of fun with it and can recommend it even though of the bad optimisations.

Quite simply one of the best Switch games ever made. The port is ALMOST flawless. There are two issues i would like to address: Long loading times between levels and hickups during gameplay when the game streams level data. Luckily the hickups has become less of an issue with the continued updates, but it still makes me crazy once in a while

I have played through the game earlier on the XSX which is super fluid and fun. However I was missing one thing from the Xbox port: Gyro aiming. After playing games like the Duke 3D 25th anniversary in a sold 60fps on the Switch, the Ion Fury port feels VERY underwhelming. The framerate drops down in the 20s more often than I would like, and that ruins the flow of the gameplay. Yes it has gyro aiming which is really cool, but I found that with the low framerate it really isn't that beneficial at all :/ Overall a cool game, but the low framerate really messes up the flow of the game.

I love this game on the XSX - it runs absolutely flawless. Too bad the Switch port is a piece of unoptimized junk. It's still an OK game, but the framerate can drop down in the 10-20s and it's NOT fun when the game already is hard as hell. The Switch is surely powerful enough to be able to run such a game smoothly.

This game feels dated. If it was relesed 10-15 years ago, it would've been great. Today one should expect more from an AAA title. The thing that keeps it interesting now is the comedy writing. The humor is (and has always been) great, and I love that. The voice acting is top notch. What about the game itself? Lots of fun guns to keep the gameplay fresh. But, the problem is that the game world feels lifeless and empty. The game is divided into small areas with loading between each zone (who even does this in 2021? This mechanic belongs to the PS2 era). Because of this, the map system is very frustrating, since you need to navigate to fast travel A LOT between the small areas. Kudos for implementing a 120hz mode, even though the game seem poorly optimized (The resolution drop is just not worth it). In 60fps mode, the game starts struggling when increasing the FOV (Default:75). Real fps probably between 45-50. I think with this kind of cel shaded cartoonish style, this game could've been ran much better on the XSX. This is one of those games that still works because of creative people behind it. But when you start playing you're constantly reminded that this game still feels stuck in the PS2/early PS3 era (except for the increased resolution in quality mode). Can only recommend if you're a huge Borderlands fan. I'd really dig this game if gearbox would've: - Created a seamless open world instead of small areas with loading between (That would fix the map frustrations as well) - Optimized the game better on consoles - Made the world more interesting, more NPCs, interactions, generally add stuff to make the world more life like. - Improved upon the driving of vehicles (feels archaic)

The Switch port is decent and plays for the most part very well, and in 60fps at that. However there are some framrate issues in «real 3D mode» which is a bit unimpressive. I’ve also encountered a couple of game breaking bugs so save often. The rewind feature when you die is very cool! I also like how the slight motion control on the controller helps the precision aiming. Recommended,

Okay! This game is pretty good. However you get too OP too early which kind of takes away some of the fun for me. I would've given this game a better score if it wasn't for these issues: - Too long load times. Even on an Xbox One X (W/12 GB ram) has insane loading times between the ship and other areas. - I repeat: So, if you need to change a crewmate, you have to fast travel to ship (1 minute loading...) change character and return outside (1 minute loading again...) - When you get a bit out in the game, some quests require you to travel quite a few places, and again.. loading times!!!! It just gets too much. Perhaps investing in an exernal SSD for the X could be a possibility?? Other than that, I do think the game is pretty good, but not up there with the Fallout serie. I wish for a sequel with even bigger maps, more creatures and shorter loading times

The switch port is very well made. The devs has done a great job here. What I like: - The game itself is fun, lengthy and has great gameplay. - Orchestral + Original music (And thank god it's possible to turn it off). - Full Eng+**** voice acting with perfect lip sync - All features from the PS4 version+more - This is a gigantic game that fits on a small switch cart! What I don't like: - No HD rumble. No rumble at ALL. Very disappointing!! - Battle music sounds like it's from an cheesy old 70s batman episode. - The music is not very varied. The main theme is used too many places, it gets tiresome. - If you turn off the music, some of the sound effects are also gone (level up sounds etc) - Pop-ins - a LOT of pop-ins. It is very distracting at first but ok when ur used to them. - Not native 1080p, but who would expect that on the Switch anyways. But overall a mighty fine port!!!

This is a bad port of the PS4 game. - Choppy framerate, usually around mid 20's during combats - No HD rumble (Actually no rumble at all) - The resolution/aliasing is lacklustre. There's A LOT of shimmering and jaggies everywhere. General: - The world isn't seamless - areas must load everywhere which kind of lower the experience. Feels like a game from 20 years ago in this regard. - The game world doesn't let you explore anything other than the "beaten path". Having played several first party Switch titles, it's easy to see how bad this port is in terms of performance. It would be more than possible to get this game running in a solid 50-60 FPS, which would help the fluidity of the combat a lot.

It's a decent port, but it could be better if the devs had put in bit of a more effort. Minus: - Graphics are not really improved. It's the same 16-bit graphics, scaled up with added effects on top such as CRT-filter, bloom, smoothing etc. It does actually look better with these turned off with the exception of scanline emulation. Bit disappointing. - Tutorial overlays doesn't look very good and is sometimes not presented when you need them - No modern control scheme. It's as clunky and static as in the 90s Plus: - Trophies - Rewind function works well - Tutorials can be reviewed anytime and is easy accessable.

It's a damn good Tetris game except for: 1. No multiplayer - Not even local - This is a big one. 2. There's no way to turn off the particle effects, which can be bothersome. PSVR gives the game very low latency (16ms) and this is the best way to experience it. The best Tetris game in later years is still Tetris DS.

This is one of those games that really rocks if you're into this kind of stuff. I've had so much fun with this game, it's unlike everything else. I can spend hours just relaxing, driving through mud, craning up timber. The multiplayer is a bit lacking and I wish there was more challenges, as these are golden! The physics is just spot on. I wish the camera was a bit more flexible when picking up timber. The biggest complaint is that my launch PS4 Pro sounds like a jetplane when running it in 60fps mode.

The new visuals are just mindblowing, but on the other hand, the retro graphics are plain ugly. I mean, it looks great on the master system, but this port's "retro mode" is not pleasant on the eyes. Howerver it's great that you can swap between modern and retro on the fly. Some areas are easier to play in retro mode because of clearer distinction of the graphics elements. Gameplay wise I could never get into the game. The controls and pacing just feels too slow and off. I'm a huge retro fan, but this was very disappointing.
