After two episodes I'm done with this series. There are too many obnouxious characters that I really don't care for. The series is not a comedy, neighter a drama, possibly a mystery but very shallow. Mandy Patinkin does not belong in this show. It's painful to watch him being trashed by a rediculous script.

The first 2 episodes are a good space thriller. The rest is truly awful, I'm sorry to say. A waste of time with not much more than a black snowy night with a distant screaming girl and pointless "I love you's".

A very tiresome and artificially complex for complexity purposes series. 8 episodes packed with nonsense that will make you 10 years older. Hyper escapism for the masses. A whodunnit which drowns in its own legitimacy-absent sinkhole.

The Staircase: Season 1

I never heard of writer Michael Peterson and his case. When Netflix offered this series I immediately wanted to see it. I love crime mysteries, and I also highly enjoyed Making A Murderer. The Staircase is indeed very much a mystery. Episode after episode I doubted Peterson's innocence. (I havent finished the series completely yet) I dont understand his family, they absolutely believe him he did not murder women. Well, I found that very painfull and scary. Both crime scenes were covered in blood by head trauma, so it really looks like murder, but my aunt also died by falling down the stairs. My family told me this also triggered a blood bath. My aunt also died that same day she fell. So when you walk up the strairs and fall flat backwards, your head makes a huge bang, but you dont expect that many lacerations as in the cases of Peterson. I still dont know what happened.

Since Mulholland Drive I have been a Naomi Watts fan. She is intelligent and an enigmatic beauty with great sense of style. In Gypsy Naomi is a great als she is always. Eloquent and smart, she convinces as a psychologist searching for het own dark side. Dont believe the bad reviews by journalists. The story is very fascinating and modern. I am at episode 7 and Im still very intrigued.

I was looking so much forward to this show but onfortunately the story looses itself in rediculous How The West Was Won ****. The original movie was so suspensful, but this series is just stiff and boring. Very dissapointed.

The racism and mysogyny in this series are useless. The dialogues are very soapy. No likeable characters. Too much blue philtering photography and awful handycam shaky images.

I couldnt get through the first episode, I found it that boring and way too serious. I loved "The Tudors", a series that was so gorgeous with a very intruiging Jonathan Rhys Meyers and the definition of handsomeness himself, Henri Cavill.

I hightly enjoyed French tv series Les Revenants / the Returned. I love mysteries and cinematography so I was really looking forward to The Leftovers, but oh boy, what a dull experience this is. I really wonder why this story is filmed? What is interesting about watching everyday life? Nothing.

Rectify is as glorious as was Breaking Bad. After watching 2 seasons words can not describe how great this show is. Im so pleased television nowadays still delivers, among mostly trash, a true piece of art. Rectify has a gripping family story about (un) justice in the US, that can happen to the average American citizen, in an average little town. Dark forces that ruin lives forever. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the music, mostly alternative country, is absolutely lovely. The acting and directing is heartfelt. No overacting, but topnotch on spot acting. All of them nail in in every scene. I love the slow pace, the long and intense sensitive scenes.

Extant: Season 1

Extant is everything and much more than I expected from a sci fi tv series. It's a series that is especially interesting for women. There is a lot to relate to, for mothers and working women. The plot is from the start on very engaging. You don't need to drag yourself through terrible pilots like many other tv series. The pilot doesnt need sex or violence to sell itself, its the great story being told that makes it worth while from the beginning. The photography is absolutely gorgeous, with many CGI that really matter. The settings are also mind blowing, each building, room or car is beautifully styled. Then we have Halle Berry, she must be the most beautiful woman on earth! Her face is marvellous and she doesn't have had any plastic surgery or botox, her face can express everything. Great actress! Her tv series son is played by a talented child actor, Pierce Gagnon. He is truly intriguing and has a dark undercurrent. I love his part. Im so glad this series has been made, because it has style and the Halle Berry character is a great role model. You see, lately I got very bored with all the sex and violence and serial killers and tortured detectives. It's a pity that tv got so obsessed with violence. All together I find Extant a classic, very well crafted series that deserves attention.
