Very much enjoyed season! I think they did a nice job setting up this world and I love that the show is more fantasy than pure historical romance. The pop covers really add to the show! Sometimes I really enjoy Daphne and Simon as the lead couple and other times I find them incredibly toxic. Still, it's not hard to see why the show became what it is now based on its first season.

Coming off season 1, which I genuinely enjoyed, this season just fell flat for me. For an enemies-to-lovers trope, I found Kate and Anthony's story pretty weak, and the rest of the season was all over the place. I predict Jonathan Bailey's **** is the only thing keeping this otherwise forgettable season relevant.

I love Penelope and Colin. I love friends to lovers. For how little Nicola and Luke were given to work with, their superb acting carried the season and it's easy to see why the season still is talked about as much as it is today!

Just overall, a boring season. The main couple isn't interesting enough to make up for the absence of the characters we know and love. I find Benedict incredibly obnoxious and unlikeable as a male lead and Luke Thompson's acting this season is rough. The show has lost its heart and soul.
