Horizon Chase Turbo. The game inspired by Top Gear. To be honest, I always looked at this game with a bad face, because when I met it I hadn't even touched the original game and it looked like the hundreds and hundreds of very low quality indie games that were around the playstation store, but now that I've played and finished the original Top Gear some... almost a hundred times, to the point of even seeming like one of the best games in the SNES catalog, how is this little game that everyone recommends? Well, for starters, this game shows that the Top Gear has aged more than well, maybe too much and... maybe it would affect Horizon Chase negatively, but hey, we'll talk about that later. Basically it's still the same simple racing game as always, you accelerate, try to win the race with curves that always appear out of nowhere and that's it. If you are not a fan of this kind of games, you may be bored as soon as you start it. I admit that it is not for everyone, but if you enjoy retro gaming, believe me, dedicate at least 1 hour to it like I did and you will start to got some serious fun thanks to its super addictive gameplay. There really isn't much more to say, since it feels like Top Gear, but with a few things changed, like more cars, the fuel system being the same as the second installment, and an online challenge mode, as well as graphics that form a good mix between the SNES and the N64 in my opinion. It's a very nostalgic game, and even has some of the songs from the original. Unfortunately this game has some flaws that although they do not seem serious at first glance, it is as if those who made this game were too careless. There are missing game modes that every racing game should have, such as a time trial mode without opponents, online multiplayer or local multiplayer without AI. What did it cost them? Yeah, the original Top Gear didn't have them, but come on! I also think that the long endurance mode completely breaks the experience that the game itself is trying to convey, and the reward they give you is silly. And speaking of things about the gameplay itself, I would have liked a fuel system like the one in the original to have been included, instead of its second installment, at least one optional mode, because just like this it only makes the game have one less layer of strategy than the original. Overall, it's a great retro game, but as unpopular as it is, I still find Top Gear from 1990 far better, mainly because it feels much more faster, more strategy thanks to the pit fuel system, and the soundtrack I also like it more, in addition to the fact that Horizon Chase lacks things, things that without them do not encourage me to replay it so much. However, if you are a fan of this kind of games, it is a must buy.

I consider Plants Vs Zombies the highest point of Popcap. His biggest success, and personally the best of all casual games to date. A strategy video game that combines good humor and a great soundtrack, with IMPECCABLE gameplay. Perhaps many people find it quite easy, but the way in which all the game mechanics are used is in the survival mode. This is where you have to put together and take advantage of strategies with your 49 plants!!! Besides that this version is better than the PC version in every way, including better graphics and more content to a game that already had it. The multiplayer mode is amazing, although it is a shame that it is only local and does not have an online mode. I have also noticed that the PS3 version is easier than the PC version, since you have the bushes to predict the movement of the Zombies (especially useful in the foggy levels), and they usually give you many more plants for the zen garden. , which will give you much more money. Although this may be because there are more items in the store, such as the ability to buy and upgrade your house. If you already played the PC version and you liked it, or you didn't directly play it on any platform, I recommend that you switch to this version. The improvements in gameplay and content make it worthwhile! And if it wasnt enough, if you are lucky to find a physical copy of this game (is so rare) you would also have Peggle and Heavy Weapon, two other excellent Popcap games and they are also upgraded both graphically and gameplay wise! As controversial as it sounds, along with Bejeweled this is possibly the only casual game that is a masterpiece and its physical copy is one of the best games in the PS3 library in my opinion.

By far the best NFS game on PSP just by the simple fact that is not a broken mess and is enjoyable to a certain extent. Unfortunately it still feels like a rushed one and EA after this game started to be more lazy with their games. First of all, the story while interesting at first, the plot twist at the end is horrible, second, while the gameplay is refined enough, with varied game modes, good variety of cars and good economy system the game gets repetitive and the team mechanic is broken since sometimes your team doesnt do anything and if one of them wins it counts as a loss, and for last the customization is very limited, even more than the OG MW.

Idle Apocalypse is a game that, in its core gameplay at least, when it works, doesnt have to envy too much to the best of their genre. With good music, addictive gameplay and subtle humor, it has all to be a great game right? Well, not with its flaws, although are a few, they are worth mentioning. First of all, the "reset" mechanic in this idle game isnt very well implemented imo, since, while it doesnt take too long to make a good reset, the upgrades you make arent permanent, and you dont obtain a permanent bonus for stacking souls, so if you dont upgrade well and dont remember the amount of souls of your previous run and reset early, you could lost A LOT of progress. it also doesnt help that sometimes the ads dont gives you the reward, wasting 30 seconds constantly. And for last, while i like that you have to trade resources for obtaining other ones, sometimes is a bit confusing what resources you lost and what you obtain, since while you play a lot, more and more resources are introduced. A table that gives you the info would help. And a new flaw i found when replaying this game recently is that progression can become a chore after two or three resets, even while doing good distribution of resources, and it can be boring at times. Anyway, is a good idle game, im a bit impressed i have to say, i didnt expected it to be good. At the beginning it can be boring, but after a bit of time is fun enough.

Feb 24, 2022
The best/worst GTA game imo. GTA Vice City Stories is a game that really upgrades the classic 3d formula with a lot of new aspects, like for example the autoaim now has target priority making it much less annoying, having the possibility of recover your weapons, arguably the best multiplayer on the entire series, the best graphics, new vehicles, etc. The mission design is also more varied and interesting than Liberty City Stories and the gang system (despite its flaws that i would cover it later), it manages to make the gameplay even more addictive than it already is................................. but................. It also makes the same mistakes as the previous 3d GTA..... again..... for the fifth time this is a joke, although most of the flaws are because of the engine, but why they still made the same clunky shooting mechanics that were barely acceptable in the 90s, let alone in 2006, with the same autoaim (although a bit fixed), same outdated driving and recycled elements? There also new flaws as well, exclusive to this game, like for example, this is probably the most broken GTA game ever made. First of all, the money system, is way too unbalanced, even more than in GTA 3 and VC. The new gang system makes you win ridiculous amounts of money even when only capture like 5 or 6 territories, so you would obtain thousands and thousands of dollars in a short time and being able to buy everything with max ammo so easily. Not helped by the bribery option, since it only cost you always 2000; that is nothing. While i praised this option, the price should scale with the amount of weapons you had or i dont know, SOMETHING! Not matter what people said about LCS, it was a way better balanced game, that makes you think on spending your money or not. The gang battles also becomes a bit annoying towards the end of the game, and the gangs tends you to make ambush on the street way too much, like, even when you leave the hospital a 4x4 can appear and kill you instantly for the second time. Also, we can talk about how glitchy this game is? Sometimes the car you have to destroy to begin a war doesnt appear and you have to save and load the game to fix it, or the framerate problems that are way more common than in LCS. The story is also probably one of the worst in the series, since, while it starts a bit interesting, it later becomes a festival of bad jokes and uninteresting dialogue. LCS had way better story thanks to the relationship of Leone and Salvatore. Overall, while i enjoyed VCS and i can understand why some people saw VCS as the best GTA game, it is one of the most flawed games on the series due of its unbalanced nature that makes the gameplay broken as hell and the missions dont have the most balanced difficult curve of all. Although i still think is a pretty good game, since it introduces some of the best features of the series and like LCS is so impressive for the PSP, i still think LCS is an objectively way better made game, as much as that statement can make some people angry.

Burnout Legends is my first Burnout game i played, and contrary to games like Ratchet And Clank and Jak And Daxter on the PSP that, while they may be inferior to the PS2 trilogy at the end of the day, when I played them for the first time I really wanted to know what the originals were like. Unfortunately with Burnout Legends this is not the case. It reminds me of a recent game that becomes one of my most dissapointed games: NFS MW 2012, although not as bad thankfully. For starting this is a racing game with crashing physics, but i would tell you even the Java Asphalt games had much better physics and handling than this: The controls are clunky, the drifting is all over the place, the crash cam is annoying and due to the pixelation is hard to see traffic cars at the distance, the hit detection to count a hit as a takedown is inconsistent and the game ends up being repetitive. Did i also mention terrible rubberbanding? Ugh.... This proves how EA doesnt know how to make racing games on portable hardware (maybe except Carbon Own The City). I also dont like it how the collectors cars arent all unlockable by normal means and that some special takedowns are pretty obscure or hard to do, making 100% completion a bit of a mess. At least the graphics are impressive for the PSP and the sense of speed is incredible. I also like the zoom type of effect when doing takedowns and i have to admit, the game is a bit addicting and the amount of cars and tracks is pretty respectable so is a decent game to kill some time but nothing more.

Gran Turismo 4 is.... more of the same... At least from a gameplay design perspective. It doesnt try to make anything revolutionary, besides the amount of cars and its details, which again, they are INCREDIBLE for a 2004 PS2 game. Im start to thinking Poliphony Digital is at the same level as Naughty Dog in terms of optimizing their games and make it run in a barebones hardware, if not, even BETTER. Gran Turismo 4 looks like a PS3 game and for a more or less early PS2 game this is just SO MUCH. Is a shame that the rest of the game isnt at the same level of quality.... like... any GT... Well, i wouldnt start to launch the bombs for now, lets start talking about the good aspects, ok? Well, like i said before, unmatched graphics that still looks great, the handling of the cars are actually not that bad and are a great step up from GT2, and i like the new tyre heat system, since now is present in all of the races, not matter if they are endurance tests or not. You can also change the car spoil which is cool... a bit late, but cool anyway and like the other ones you have so many cars and now they are from many eras, even from 1880. A photo mode that it was probably ahead of its time, and some few more options that arent worth mentioning, but again, they are good enough. But now..... the bad.... oh man... get ready. The main problem with this game is its unbalance nature, both for rewards and events distribution. The licenses, while repetitive, like GT2 are managable, so i wouldnt criticize this (excpet the coffee break, they should be more of it imo), but after beating all of the licenses and playing some races the problems begins... again... the same ones from Gran Turismo 2.... The grinding of this game at the beginning is horrible. At least if you dont buy a good car, you would struggle to beat some races, and the ones that you can beat they would give you nothing. But after all of that grind, i winning an special condition race, and guess what.... they gives you a 900HP car: the Caddillac... Yep, thats how broken this game is. With a Lancer Evolution 1 of i dont know, 200HP, i obtained one of the best cars of the game, from the beginning. The broken nature of this game doesnt end here, since there´s also events where you can sell cars for 250.000 money. i dont have a problem with this if it was more later in the game, but since all of the races gives me like 600-1000 money, i would expect a more balanced distribution. The events also have the same problem as GT2 and there are so many... MANY filler events that gives you pathetic rewards and repeats the same tracks over and over again, and yep, the return of the endurance races..... good lord..... good lord.... GOOODDDDDD LORRRRRRRRDDDDDDD 4 hours races? 8 hours races??? 24 FUC hours RACESSS!!!??? and there are not only one, but MULTIPLE of it!? OMG.... this game feels like a flanderization of the previous entries. The developers just doesnt seem to respect your time. And the realistic nature of this game seems to be accounted only when the developers wanted to, because the AI of this game is horrible, not being able to notice you, being able to making unrealistic shortcuts without being penalized (like the one in Fuji Speedway or La Sattre) or simply starting to crash into walls to gain more speed and not recieving enough speed reduction or just damage your car. Even you can crash the AI car to push it into the sand and win the race more easily or using cars of 900 HP in 200-300 HP races that makes the game easy as hell, something GT2 fixed it. Also, no racing modifications... WHY?! It was so cool to turn almost any of the 500 cars in GT2 into a better racing machine..... They waste the opportunity... And for last, the B Spec mode breaks the game completely. Nothing more to say. Overall, while i only played GT1, GT2, GT4 and GTPSP, of these four, GT4 is the worst i played of the bunch. While some flaws were also present in GT1 and GT2 as well, like the bad AI, this is a much more advance console, and the developers, again, seems to only make the game a showcase, more of a technical demo of what the PS2 can make, but without the overall design and fun, this is just another bland, repetitive racer with a lot of balance issues. Something i also defended GT1 and 2 was its soundtrack and GT4 has a forgettable soundtrack both its races and main menu, and is a shame to be honest, because i loved the soundtrack in previous games, especially 1 since is unique to any manufacturer and gives each one a personality (like Dodge having music more "suspense" than Honda with a more "happier" one since is basically the type of car that owns everyone).... Need For Speed Most Wanted, that was released more or less the same year, eats this game as a pancake.

Worms Armageddon is one of those classic games that you shouldnt miss. Even in its inferior console ports, the core gameplay is intact. Talking about the gameplay itself, it was a nice upgrade over the original Worms. The physics were way smooth and is easier to predict how the weapons fall. Although i didnt like it that the jumping itself is a bit more clunky, but it still gets the job done. The arsenal was also greatly expanded, with a LOT of new weapons, that gives the game tons of creativity and strategy. For me the highlight of the game was creating and customizing teams, custom matches, maps and schemes, the game is just designed around that. This things along makes Worms Armageddon arguably not only what worms should be, but also it gives its unique core esence to it, its unique charm, and a manual to make strategic games fun........ BUT....... Is this game perfect? No, not by a long shot. There are a few flaws that shamefully ruins the game for me. First of all, the controls and collision detection. They are way very finicky at times. Not only the worm sometimes cant reach certain elements of the enviroment, but also, since the level itself is like a cookie that leaves crumbs, sometimes you will see bazookas and homing missiles crashing magically in the air. Using grenades and bazookas from long distances can be also very hard, and this wouldnt be a negative point if the game doesnt expect you to make perfect shots so many times in the campaign. The level design both in training mode and in the campaign is sadistic. They can take way too long and the game demands you flawless runs with specific strategies, even in the first missions. And the difficult curve is all over the place. Also, to get gold medals in campaign you have to beat a mission in the first try (if you do more attempts and later you beat the mission the counter resets). This really makes the game artifficialy longer, and for unlocking everything you have to obtain gold medals in every level. I really aprecciate the PS1 version for making training missions much less strict (like 1 minute less) and not having autosave, so you dont waste unnecesary time with the campaign and the deathmatch mode. Unfortunately this version lacks fire weapons, probably for technical limitations and you cannot create schemes, something really bad. Is still an impressive port though, and with 16:9 support (one of the few PS1 games with this option). Although i wouldnt call Worms Armageddon the most perfect game in the series as everyone tend to say, in fact, i think games like Armageddon 2, 4 Mayhem or even the first Worms were way better, Armageddon is the most revolutionary and important one.

Syphon Filter is a game that even for the time it feels really outdated, this is not an early PS1 game, this is 1999. By the time, the controls and graphics were much more polished overall. The way to shoot the guns reminds me to GTA 3, if not, a bit worse for its camera, so you really know what to expect. Although the first person view was cool, and there´s a bit variety of weapons to use. But what kills this game is the level design and its checkpoint system, is so unfair at times, killing you in one hit only because you do a mistake and losing like 15 minutes or more of progress. But the enemies never are a threat, and they can shoot you from close range and i mean close range like 1 METER and they dont hit you, WHAT? The soundtrack was fine, the same with the story, but nothing spectacular. There´s also a bit of revolutionary gameplay here and there, but anything impressive in this game is drag down by the bad.

Well, at least i consider it better than GTA 3 thanks to some quality of life additions like the map and other minor things, but it doesnt add anything to the series besides that, is only an excuse to play a portable GTA, and in that regard the game succeds, in fact, i was really impressive on how this game looks and runs. And the multiplayer was one of the best in the series. But there´s still all of the problems of previous 3D GTAs like clunky autoaim, some annoying missions, filler secondary missions and no replay value after finishing the game. I recommend it if you like 3d GTAs, but dont expect something really new, apart from playing it in any place.

The Division may at first glance look like your typical cover system third-person shooter, but it has many RPG aspects that give it the edge. Tons of skills to use, weapons, armor, this game in terms of customization is exquisite. Shamefully, the game has several balance problems that remind me of other games of this style such as Horizon Zero Dawn or Patapon 3 (not as bad thankfully), where the recommended level of the mission is often false, and they blow you up despite exceeding it by far, the abusive grinding, or some enemies, even if they arent bosses, sometimes turn into bullet sponges, even enemies that don't seem to have any protection are inexplicably tough, and you have to shoot them like 50 rifle magazines down on their heads, while you could die with two or three shoots. Apart from the balancing problems, I also have to present my complaints to the Dark Zone mode, which although it is very fun, it becomes a grinding mess to get the best equipment, besides that at a narrative level it does not make any sense. Why in an apocalypse would people stay in an area to fight for weapons and armor just to want to be stronger? Despite all the criticism, The Division is a very addictive game, and that is why I give it a pretty high score, along with the great customization value, they give hours and hours of replayability. I was close to giving it a 6, but it was fun enough to give it a 7.

This has to be one of the worst games i played in the last years. Im just impressed with how rushed this game feels. UI is confusing as hell and lacks basic options such as screen calibration, controls are clunky, maps are more bigger than neccesary, for being triple AAA it lacks singleplayer mode or game modes to compensate, graphics are not only worse than previous Battlefield even included the PS3 titles but also a lot of PS2 FPS, gunplay is unbalanced, buildings cant be destroyed (at least the majority), aerial vehicles controls horrible, bugs and glitches everywhere and the game itself doesnt inovate in anything, is just the same shooter over and over again. EA shamefully just gets worse with every game they release, the same with this franchise, and they clearly put less effort with their games... The only part of the game i enjoyed was the Bad Company 2 maps, because that were genuinely good designed maps and even then they managed to ruin it because of the physics of the new engine, lack of maps being only two and the they lack the UAV. I would even go as far to say that the beta was actually A BETTER GAME, yes, A BETA!!! Since it did a better job balancing the weapons, having a simpler interface, and a screen calibration option, and yet IT WAS FREE, and EA charges this game full for 60 BUCKS! One of the most lazy, rush, unpolished, boring and bad designed games i ever seen.

The Persistence

User Score
sebastianali
Nov 20, 2021
The Persistence feels like a combination between a 3d shooter with the mechanics of the roguelike genre, which in concept is not a good idea to be honest, especially because of how it has been executed. The elements of 3d shooter are very poorly implemented, with a very clunky and excessively slow movement. I do not understand why instead of having an teleportation skill that only works for a few meters they could not just put a run button. The basic mechanics of this game due to how clunky it becomes would be unacceptable even for a game from 20 years ago, let's not even talk now. And the roguelike mechanics, while interesting at first, do not offer enough complexity and are greatly worsened by poor management in the difficulty curve and their clunky gameplay in 3d, as I said. The level design is random, which makes things interesting, but you may be unlucky when a strong enemy appears just in the first few rooms, and being unarmed, you won't be able to do much. Even the weakest enemies in the game become a danger, and that is that even with some armor and health improvements at the beginning, more than half of enemies will be able to kill you in 2 or 3 hits, and although the game encourages a lot the use of the "parry" system with the shield, like the movement of the character, is usually clunky, and the timing is very trial and error. The stealth also sometimes doesnt work, and the AI still manages to spot you, even if they didnt see or heard you. Returning to the shield, there are some enemies where the parry does not work, and they are able to empty your shield with a single attack. If this happens, and you find yourself surrounded in a corner, no matter what skills, weapons or stats you have, consider yourself dead. It is very easy to die in this game due to carelessness or to meet a single enemy with a broken attack. The game also has an item loss system that I am not much of a fan of either, especially since unlike other roguelikes, weapons are generally obtained by purchasing them (you can find some hidden but it is rare). This can mean that if you use up your money, you can get worse in a "run", which unfortunately turns the game into what I was afraid of: a grinding mess. It is not at all satisfactory that 1 hour or more of grinding is wasted. Speaking of minor things, the graphics and the story are a hit or miss. The graphics themselves while having a good direction, on a technical side they look like a 2005 PS3 game. And the story while presenting an interesting concept is not executed in the best possible way. The truth is that to a certain extent one might think that I am more criticizing the roguelike genre than this game, and while it is true, and in fact, the game tells you that they wanted to make it as difficult as possible so that you would have to repeat it over and over again, I feel like this is only being done to artificially lengthen the game. Also, there is a difference between a challenging and fun game and an unfair and boring game, which very few roguelike have really managed to do well, among them is PMD (although this is something more personal). Making the game extremely difficult from the first level is not something that pleases everyone, and although the game includes an option to make it easier, the truth is that it is not the way the developers intended you to play the game, and they decided above to deactivate the trophies. To some extent, The Persistence feels like a very outdated experience. Like an abysmal downgrade to Doom 3 with roguelike elements forced into it that don't work quite well in a game of this style, and if you don't use a map, the navigation becomes confusing. All the rooms look the same, and although I have defended other games of the genre for doing this, the truth is that being 2d it is impossible to get lost. It is not the worst game of the genre that I have played, but it was definitely not worth my time. I guess I should keep looking for the perfect balanced roguelike.

So this is basically a remake of two games in one for the GBA, Very impressing i would say. Despite being possible the best version of the game by far, is still not very good in its core gameplay. Like FF3, FF5 makes a highly emphasis on jobs. This jobs, despite giving you some of the most diverse customization on the franchise and removing one of the most annoying things in FF3 (having to win a lot of random combats when you change a job), it also breaks the game completely with the only skills that matters being zeninage, rapi fire, dualcast and spellblade. Also this also means.... GRINDING! Oh my god, i just hate grinding in RPGs... Is even worse than FF3 grinding. Some enemies overall gives like 1000 exp points while leveling up requires like 40000, so you would expend like half hour or more trying to level up a single character only to win like 100 hp or more, because yes, contrary to other games like FF1, 2 or 3, (especially the former), the stats and resistance for status effects doesnt increase, making leveling up useless, having to level up like 10 times to at least resist 2 more attacks from stronger enemies. And while equipment is very interesting for its exclusive perks and is very useful overall, is very rare and cost lots of gil. You have to also grind a lot for money. This is basically the grindiest game i have ever played, not even FF3 or 8, or other RPGs (except idle games of course) makes me remember that i have to grind so much. The difficult curve isnt also very good balanced, with bosses that spams broken attacks that requires an specific strategy that basically requires trial and error to know it, or also the constant encounter rate with powerful enemies. Is just so boring... FFV is one of my least favorite FF, and is a shame, because the gameplay in its highest point was probably the best in the franchise, the soundtrack was amazing, graphically is so ahead of its time and it has a lot of exploration! But isnt very well polished and is so grindy that it becomes so tedious to complete. The story wasnt also very good. Isnt the worst story in the franchise by any means, but it was much inferior to 2 and 4, and it doesnt encourage me to complete the game. This GBA port also has some FPS drops at times, especially in the final battle, but if the game was actually fun, then i wouldnt take into account that too much.

Even if you do not excel at anything, since you will not have serious flaws, apart from the feeling that there are better people or "things" than you. However, i wouldnt define Crash Tag Team Racing it as the jack of all trades master of none, being that its quality in most game modes is quite good, I would even say that it is a game... very refined in a lot of areas... well , removing certain filler minigames and that the car fusion mechanic needs some polish, everything in the game is quite good, the exploration, immense amount of content, INCREDIBLE graphics for the console (like almost all the games in the series), in some way even is revolutionary. Although is very monotonous and sometimes it seems rushed, and this console port for the PSP lacks some multiplayer options and obviously has worse graphics and camera, so it probably really impacts on the game negatively. But... on the other hand, it's okay. I accept simple and repetitive, yet flawed experiences as long as they are fun enough, and Crash Tag Team Racing despite its repeatability (which is sometimes extreme), manages to entertain a while and offer an enjoyable repeatability. This is surprisingly one of my favorite Crash post ND games. Although it still maintains the humorous tone of Twinsanity that I quite dislike, surprisingly the comedy of the game I enjoy it more. Although it has many silly jokes, the dialogues of the characters both within the game and in some cinematics were fun and memorable. In short, Tag Team Racing is a very good and underrated game, which could still be better, but there were a few things missing to polish. Of all the jack of all trades type of games i have ever played, i would say CTTR is the best since this types of games tends to have so many gamemodes than are average at best, but CTTR has actually some quality moments. PD: I recommend playing the console versions since they are much better than PSP.

Imo, FF1 on the PSP is not only the best version of the game by far, but also the best in the series by far. To start, there´s basically no a single problem with the difficult on this game. The original version was hard, but mostly for the wrong reasons. This version also is the only Final Fantasy that doesnt abuse on level grinding and the pacing itself is very fast, being one of the most simple, yet refined and fastest RPG i have ever played. This along with the new content and monsters turns this version in what it seems a loot game, but a very good one. Is just so satisfying obtaining new equipment and new entries in the bestiary. This remake is not only for fans of the franchise, but also the perfect for newcomers both for the series and the genre itself. The only thing i didnt like is that it wasnt bundled with FF2 like the GBA version, and doesnt have all of its languages, being only in English and Japanese, but other than that is just a perfect remake, more remakes should be like this.

Just stick with PSP or GBA releases. This version have some cool new things, and the artsyle is decent, but compared to the other remakes of FF1, it just lacks any new impressive thing or even removed it completely like the extra dungeons. I know that some people prefer the original artsyle, but it was that hard to include an option to change the graphics, gameplay and music of the other versions before starting the game? Is still a good game, and one of the best versions to my favorite game in the franchise, but as a remaster that wants to improve in a very old game, is just a hit or miss.

Cookie Clicker at best is a mix bag, and at worst is fundamentally terrible designed. The graphics are incredible clean and very well done, with tons of colours and it has a very good sense of humor, with references and or "news" that would somewhat make you forget all of the monotony of the game. And thats all of the good, now i played tons of idle games and very few stands out for me, especially the ones that involves some strategy and most important, make you do something. and this one despite being one of the most influential ones, is also one the worst of its genre imo. Is not only just repetitive and tedious to progress (despite being somewhat addictive at the beginning), but it gets even worse later in the game, where you have to pray every time you get the best golden cookies bonus along with the hand of fate magic. If the RNG screws you up just one time, you can waste like 1 hour or more, and you have to wait again for the magic to refill. I cant believe that this game depends all of the time just with one broken mechanic that depends so heavily on low chances. The game has offline progression, but only with an upgrade. Why is locked?! The game by itself is very padded, and while i admit is very satisfactory unlocking new buildings, upgrades and rewards, since the amount of cookies to ascend just increases a lot after playing for a while, just isnt worth the frustration. Idle games were never for everyone, but even me, that im never be a big fan of this genre, i find some ones that were very good (and didnt remind me that im playing an idle game). Sometimes, while i saw all the praise of this game and no criticism at all, i dont know if its supposed to be one of that kind of "joke games". And if this wasnt enough, the steam version isnt free despite being the same as the browser one, except it has soundtrack. The soundtrack by itself.... is.... VERY GOOD! It captures the esence of the game in the perfect moments, although to be honest it should be come with the base free game, a lot of free idle/flash games comes with music... so i cannot really praise it... Overall, it could be much better, even in Steam there was much better idle games for free. The real problem of this game is the slow progression starting to half game and the monotonous it can be. A lot of people talk about how Cookie Clicker changes a lot with time, but having played this game like 6 months, yeah, you unlock some minigames, a new currency, a lot of new upgrades, the ascension, etc etc etc, but it comes very late and it isnt worth it since a lot of the minigames are useless and the sugar lumps it takes a lot of time to obtain some and the ascension system is very padded. It reallllllyyyyy shouldnt depend all of the time in the golden cookie mechanic, this was the origin of all the progression problems, the main issue of the game by far.

Gran Turismo on PSP (for now) in my opinion is the best game in the series, they polished a lot the formula. First of all the graphics, good lord, the graphics are AMAZING, easily the best looking game on the PSP along with God Of War, it looks like a PS3 game, although the cars lacks any kind of reflection, but they have so many detail both the enviroment and the cars so it gets a pass. Also the incredible amount of cars, you have more or less like 800 cars. My final positive point is the focus on the arcade aspect. Previous games in the series were more realistic, although the realism was never very polished, and to be honest, simulation games are just..... frsutrating and boring... Gran Turismo on the PSP was more like an arcade racing game, but a very good one, and much more polished than its previous entries, now the focus is in collecting all the cars in the game, rather than winning all of the trophies. Along with the much more fair AI and licenses (and not more obligatory!!! yeah!!!), this doesnt force you to be so perfect at the beginning of the game like many other previous Gran Turismo, and now the control is much better. The developers removed completely the oversteer, and while the stiff control is still there, is now a smooth stiff control, the car smoothly turns when breaking, and no like previous games where it tends to drift even at low speed or makes a spin. And it has something that future racing games of the seventh generation-today misses.... customizing your own races.... this is something i love it since games like Need For Speed 3 (for example), and you are rewarding the more laps, longer track or ai difficult you are racing.... Your race, your rules. This is amazing, and considering than all of the cars are very impressive looking and the driving is stiff but smooth, it gives you a lot of reward feeling (and that in a videogame is one of the most important things, very few videogames do this right). But now to the negatives, and shamefully some flaws are present from other Gran Turismo and other flaws were new from this game: The tracks itself are still very unmemorable, along with the soundtrack (although you can put your own soundtrack, something very cool). If you dont know about real cars specs, you would never know what car is more faster or have better handling. Despite i said the handling was much better than others Gran Turismo, is still stiff. There´s no upgrade system, and while previous games did this pretty bad, that doesnt mean it should be omited, and for last, the game doesnt have enough game modes, so it becames somewhat repetitive. Arcade racing games like NFS3 wasnt an issue since the game was refined to the max and has every option you need. Gran Turismo on PSP is still a very good racing game, one of the best of the system, and my favorite game in the franchise for its refinement and its arcade style gameplay, but that doesnt mean the series still exploted all of its potential.

Well, i wasnt expected too much since i also didnt like GT1. But now straight to the positives and negatives. First of all, this game like its predecessor it looks INCREDIBLE, easily one of the best looking games on the PS1, even surprass some early PS2 racing games, but there´s specific places where it looks worse than GT1, but i can understand that, since this game has more cars and tracks, so it gets a pass. Still 10/10 graphics, although what doesnt get a pass is the map in the main menu that looks very bland but still a minor issue. Second, you have an INSANE amount of cars, like 500 or 600 in a PS1 GAME!!! Even today racing games would dream with that quantity, and while the handling is still very stiff (in fact, i would say is much more rigid than GT1) they remove a lot the oversteer of the car, so it gets a pass. It could control much better, but is still a decent handling nonthenless. Now the negatives, and honestly, i think this makes the game much worse to play than GT1. The grinding.... good lord... the grinding in this game is TERRIBLE! In GT1 you dont have to win much races to buy cars or upgrades, but in this game you have to win like 4-8 races to make some few upgrades on your car, and the races itself are a lot more harder than GT1, mainly because the of the issue that i mentioned in my GT1 review, the AI could turn without the need to brake sometimes. Well, in GT2 is practically all the time, and in every turn while you are braking, the AI could catch you, and this is much more noticed if you pick up a bad car to start the game, you will find yourself losing a lot of races because the AI would be faster than you in straights and sharp corners, and the money that they give you for winning a race is pathetic. This reminds me to the first Choro Q game, but at least in that game they make you clear that you have to actually grind, making only the first opponent much more faster than you, and they give you a lot of money and the races itself were FUN, while in GT2 the track design is much more forgettable than 1 and the soundtrack wasnt as memorable imo. The padding also returns, recycling the tracks from GT1, recycling the tracks from GT2 constantly in mid game, and the return of the 2 hours tracks. The much more longer loading times (even in menus) and the return of the licenses also dont help either. Now the rally races.... Good lord, if the races in road have clunky controls, now in the rally races unless you get a very good car is just so bad, and this races take up like half (or slighty less) of the game. They demand you absolutely perfection even in the first races, this also applies to the licenses, because even if their are like i said before a lot easier than the first game, that doesnt mean they arent still hard, and while i hate it less more than the first one, the developers putted much more license challenges, and the padding is just so bad... Rally, licenses, repetition of tracks, 2 hours tracks, HP limit for certain races, grinding, and everything else, this game is just full of padding. While this also was an issue for GT1, it wasnt too bad to be honest, the game was much more simple and once you got all the licenses there wasnt too much events in the game, so GT1 was padded, yes, but short. The developers tried to make a much more ambitious game, but without solving the previous game flaws their ended making a even more flawed game. While GT1 have terrible controls, at least i have some fun since the grinding and the normal races were ok (except the last ones of course). GT2 isnt a bad game by any means, but rather a game that sucumbed for being too ambitious. Like i said with the first game, this feels like another technical demo, only worth playing because for the novelty of the time, and not for having fun today.

Gran Turismo has what i wanted for years in a racing game, a lot of cars... And thats it honestly, i think is half overrated. Everyone calls it the most realistic driving sim, but that's just not true. No realistic driving sim would let you ram a concrete barrier at 200 M.P.H. and simply bounce off like it never happened. No realistic driving sim makes it impossible to flip your car over. No realistic driving sim allows you to keep maximum revs for a half an hour in first gear without damaging your engine in the least. Gran Turismo excels at two things. Looking extremely good, even better than some PS2 racing games and the great variety of cars than even today racing games dream of it. Everything other than that is anywhere from average to terrible. the races itself repeats too much, you have to do a lot of licenses that some are almost impossible with so many difficult spikes, some upgrades actually makes your vehicle race worse or doesnt make much difference, and the steering of the car is terrible. While this is supposedly to be realistic, the AI doesnt have this realistic behavior (for example they can turn without oversteer or brake), and sometimes to minimize lap times you have to crash into the wall with the right angle instead of braking. Personally, the licenses would be much better if they give you much more time so they give you more time to brake and if you touch a wall or something they give you time penalty. The bronze trophies are so hard in the last license that they could easily be the gold ones. The races itself were decent, but they have a lot of problems, apart of what i said before: AI rubberbanding, grass makes your car hope, excessive oversteering and if you arent a car expert, you will never know what car is supposedly to be better than another since stats doesnt exist, but a bunch of random realistic specs that for the average player doesnt mean nothing. And for last, the tracks itself were very few and in the tournaments were very repetitive, this is even worse in the "Gran Valley" mode, where you have to do a 60 lap race, so annoying and just padding for the sake of being padding. If i talk about 1998 racing games i prefer Need For Speed 3 and Choro Q 3. This proves that better graphics, more cars and supposedly "realism" doesnt make a game much more fun and better, at least in my opinion. Gran Turismo is like a technical demo. I admit im impressed for what the developers had made in 1998, but is just more like a novelty, and not a game for play to the end, because finishing all the races with gold, is just one of the most tedious, boring and unfair experiences i have ever played.

Although many people defend this game saying that if it had not been called "Most Wanted" they surely would not have hated it, to me as a game it still seems pretty bad. Apart from the fact that the game does not give you complete control over the car and less in a curve (or also the lack of speedbreaker mechanic), every minimum hit you crash, a cinematic interrupts the race that lasts about 7 seconds, the thing is that its so constant and the hitbox and impact force is super unrealistic as it can happen to you even with a low speed crash. The way to get vehicles in the game is absurd, since it eliminates the progression of the previous games in the series which consisted of starting with a bad car and getting better cars, in this one, you start with an Aston Martin and later you pick up a Porsche. Besides that if you get a good car at the beginning you will no longer need the rest, so this mechanic of finding cars in an open world at any time is terrible (and it is not surprising that other racing games do not have it), since it breaks completely the game. With only the Lamborghini Gallardo that you get in the first city and all the missions will be a piece of cake. The easiest way to solve this would be to block certain places on the map, as happened in Underground 2 or Most Wanted and that when you beat bosses they are enabled so you can pass, but no, you can go anywhere at any time, it that leaves the game very badly balanced. I would criticize other things, such as the lack of tuning, short lenght, story, the confusing and bad balanced online or the absurd amount of DLC. IMO one of the worst in the series.

Me encanta.

I played for the moment Asphalt 1,2,3,4 and this one, and sorry guys, but i think this is the worst by far. Previous games in the series were much more simpler, better balanced and much more fun. Since they were release in Java dont have any micro sh.. or ads. Some of them break the game completely if you buy it or if you dont pay for them means that sometime would be impossible to win, although this apply to every mobile game today (thats why i consider old Java games to be much superior to mobile games today). Yes, the graphics are incredible, the game is so optimized to low end mobiles and has a lot of cars, but that isnt nothing when the game becomes frustrating, repetitive, confuse menus to the new player, boring, lack of innovation with other racing games or other games in the series, and the controls are much more stiff than other Asphalt games like 4. Asphalt 4 for me is still peak of the series, perfection that no other Asphalt game would even dream.

This is the first Virtua Fighter i have ever played. What a bad start!!! First, this game is f..... ugly!!! The characters at least, the levels itself arent anything special, but at least they look decent for being a remaster of a PS3 game, but the models are just so plastic with barely any animation!!! It looks like a PS2 launch title. And the controls... oh my lord, compared to other fighting games like Marvel Vs Capcom or Street Fighter were the controls are so smooth, here the controls are broken as hell. There´s so much input lag and every time you press a button the character makes a combo automatically. This type of mechanics could barely work on a fighting game 40 years before, dont even talk now.

El mejor Need For Speed jamas hecho. PC: 9/10 PS1: 6,5/10

This is the definitive version of Half Life 1 in my opinion. It would even say that Half Life 1 on PS2 is my favorite game in the series! I will not review the base game because I already did it on this page and gave it an 8 by the way, great game, innovative but with many glitches and that it lack more post game content. This port not only solves all the glitches present in the PC version, but also improves many things that make it worthy of a higher score. I will say the things that this port has in comparison to the PC version and why i consider it much better. -Better textures and models -Split Screen deathmatch and coop (Half Life Decay has a clever level design, a great adittion to the game and in my opinion, my favorite HL expansion) -Now the assault rifle has its own ammo! -Exclusive Deathmatch levels -Exclusive alien cheat (you can use on Coop mode or in the story, and if you finish the game with Alien mode there´s a secret ending) -New elements in HUD (a red aim along with the orange that helps you with the aiming and a icon than indicates if you are moving or jumping) -Extended Levels (for example Hazard Course) -Long Jump with sound effect and easy to use (only jump twice) -Bug fixes (yes, even more than 2021 PC version) -The best Gordon Freeman model in game i have ever seen (Half Life 2 box doesnt count) This version is very underrated, it has a lot of content and is polished... And i say again, Half Life 1 in PC is awesome, but in PS2 is almost perfect... And if you dont like the joystick, you can even connect mouse and keyboard to the PS2!!!! One of the few games on PS2 that allows that. Half Life on PS2 is a upgrade in everything to the original game. It has some faults, like the lack of more content for the multiplayer like 4 player split screen along with more variety of game modes, it would be nice also the Blue Shift and Opposing Force expansions included (although you can play Blue Shift by a mod that you can found in moddb), also you can play Half Life Uplink if you have a special disc... So rich in content! Totally recommended for the people who didnt play Half Life before or the people who play the PC version and wants to experience more.
