Great sandbox and automation game. I love that you can completely turn off the combat and focus on building. The only thing that makes little sense is the science, where you produce read, green and blue bottles. It would have been more interesting if the game had an actual tech tree where you go deeper into semiconductor production chain, but I guess it would be huge then.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild7

Good looking game with some interesting mechanics, but for someone like me who likes to explore and experiment a lot, the loading screen time just killed the joy from the game.

Super Mario Odyssey9

It's been over 2 years since Switch came out and this is still the best Nintendo game for Switch for me. Mario is really funny, boss fights are fair and sense of exploration is awesome. Riding J in the desert has been so much fun.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition9

I played the game with xbox 360 controller and it's perfect. The one-on-one combat is the best you can find. The monsters are varied and although they are not often the smartest, they are really challenging to play. The weapon upgrade system is great, and it mostly stays away from the common RPG problem: by the time you get a powerful weapon, you most probably do not need it anymore. In Dark Souls enemies re-spawn each time you rest at the bonfire, so you get to use the most powerful weapons on weakest opponents. I love how game forces you to change approach for new enemies you encounter. You cannot simply grab the mightiest weapon and kill everything. Different enemies require different tactics. For that reason, you might want to fully upgrade 4-5 weapons (regular, fire, divine, ranged, magic) and armor types (heavy set to sustain mighty blows or light but resistant to curse, poison and magic). The game also has a nice balance between might and magic. The only problem I found is that some things are obscured and hidden, and you have to watch for clues in the environment and listen to what NPCs talk about. If you don't have the Internet and actively search for stuff in the game, there's a high chance you would miss some of the adventure. The best RPG in the last five years. I spend around 150 hours before completing it.

Never Alone6

Interesting story and nice graphics, but that's all there is to it. The puzzles are too easy and the whole game is just a walk in the park. In fact, the only think difficult about are the controls which respond slowly and sometimes do not react at all. For a game that requires some really precise jumps, this is a major drawback. I mostly played the co-op mode and often the game wouldn't pick up which player used keyboard vs controller the next time it is started. Sometimes I had to close and restart the game 4-5 times until the right order of plugging in the controller and pressing in-game buttons would work. One of the rare games that made me rage quit 3-4 times. And I finally gave up.

And Yet It Moves6

This is what happens when you have some gimmicky game mechanics and you try to build a whole game around it. Sometimes it works, but often it is not enough and gets boring really fast. Graphics are unusual, but not really pretty and do not attract me to play the game once I close it. So, it is not a bad game, but it's rather mediocre.

I wish this game had just a little bit better graphics and animations, so I could give it a clear 10. The puzzles are amazing and plentiful. The story is average, but interesting. It starts with a group of skateboarders learning that their playground is going to be turned into development site and they decide to steal the construction permits. Naive. However, as you come closed to company headquarters, you realize that something really sinister is happening in this shady business. Soon, you get attacked by alien robots and... well, spoilers. Anyway, the story is solid, but the main thing are the puzzles. Most require really unorthodox solutions. There are blocks you can move around, and switches, elevators, lasers that reflect of metallic surfaces, etc. There are some really unique puzzles I have never seen before, and they require out of the box thinking to solve. The game reminds me of Braid, except that is has many more puzzles than Braid and graphics is not so nice. Recommended.

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power8

The new mechanic of moving into depth is great. Now the game has become truly 3D, and not only 2D game with 3D graphics. However, it brings problems. Often it is not clear which direction you should take to proceed further. This is not a big problem in single-player, but when two or three players start playing, it becomes very confusing at some points. Especially since camera does not move perfectly. The graphics, music and sound effects are great, and it seems like the the game engine used has improved because the game is faster and more responsive to controls than Trine 1 and Trine 2. It's a good sequel to the series. Worth playing.
