Star Trek: Discovery: Season 16
Sep 25, 2017
It was pretty to look at, boring to watch, politically correct with the female leads, and hard to believe in terms of how crazy the Burnham character went off the reservation. If I were her captain, I would have shot her. The Sarek character was not interesting without his human wife. The whole thing was just blah. It doesn't help that I can't watch the rest of the show because CBS is hiding it behind an expensive digital pay system (All Access). For all of these reasons, I will never watch another episode.

The Chicago Code: Season 110
Feb 16, 2011
I'm from California, but have lived in Illinois long enough to realize the corruption that "is" Chicago politics. The whole point of the show is to fight corruption, and they do. With mixed and realistic results. The characters are what makes this show work. The "head cop" is idealistic, tough minded, and admirable in her wish to rid the Windy city of nascent corruption and power freaks. Her former partner is an incredible egoist and talent, but even more interesting is his side-kick, who seems smarter and more self-possessed. I love the characters, I love the situations, I love moral dilemmas, and I love the realistic gray area that this show portrays. Whether it lasts more than half a season is another matter altogether. Good luck, Chicago Code!
