Lots of fun with JGL charming as always and Michael Shannon chewing the scenery to hysterical effect. It is fast and energetic with some laughs and some genuine thrills. Yeah, the plot is slight, but the movie knows that. It just wants us to have a good time.

this movie is disturbingly funny and ultimately sad, leaving you to ponder what is next for this family of creatures we have come to know. i give props for the courageous performances and for leaving thoughts and ideas that will linger long afterward.

an absolutely original joy. i smiled all the way through the thing.
