After 2 hours of gameplay I experienced a game breaking bug. Batman simply won't grapple to a platform. Reached out to customer support and they basically said: "tough luck"

Amazing prequel to the critically acclaimed Arkham Asylum. The game's story perfectly captures the relationship dynamic between Batman and the Joker. The gameplay is fun and additional gadgets keep the puzzles and combat interesting, although at one point for me it started to become a bit overwhelming, but I guess the main problem in my case was that I had big breaks between plays. I would recommend this game to any Arkham fan and any Batman fan interested in the Batman / Joker dynamic.

Think of this game as if FTL was an FPS. I absolutely loved the world building, lore and the atmosphere and the British accent and humor really made it stand out. The only thing I didn't like was that the UX suffered a bit due to the comic like UI. Also, I started loving this game more when I started playing at as an actual roguelite and not as Borderlands. You do NOT need to loot everything on a ship. Take what you need and move on!

You will like this 2D puzzle platformer if you are into extremely simple controls but challenging gameplay, and if you are a fan of the dark aesthetic and the spooky atmosphere. My only negative feedback is that at times it wasn't very clear what I should do next and the controls were really annoying and not intuitive when the gravity changes.

10/10 Idea 9/10 for the execution The game is an absolute indie masterpiece and I much recommend it! The only beef I have with this game is that it doesn't have a proper ending. It leaves you with the feeling "Wait, that's it?" when you finish the game. At least that's what happened to me. So be prepared for an amazing game with such an ending, and you'll not be disappointed! I recommend watching this video after playing through the game: ****/fFveBzbyIVA Finally, from the game design perspective, it's not quite clear to the player that the part of the database colored yellow is the video that you're currently watching, meaning you have found that video. Don't let that confuse you at the end if you are aiming for collecting all the video footage. The green parts are all the videos you have collected, red parts are all the videos missing, and a yellow part is a video you're currently watching, meaning you have collected it!

Need for Speed: Carbon

What starts as a pleasant introduction to a sequel to Most Wanted, in the ends turns into an annoying experience due to lack of features and a huge difficulty spike in the last race. I'm a huge Need for Speed fan. I've been playing it since Play Station 1 times. I loved Underground, Underground 2 and I loved the resurrection of cop chases in Most Wanted. I went into Carbon believing it'll be at least as great as Most Wanted. Boy was I wrong. The crew member feature sounds good on paper, but it's horrible in practice. Here's a list of stupid things in Carbon: - The game that's based on customization and tuning of cars has a freaking limit to how many cars can you own! - Scout crew members were utterly useless because they'd always try to be first, but if they were too fast that would be overpowered. So expect you'll ram into your scout throughout the whole race if you're using it. - Switching to Hal to be able to autosculpt is horrendously annoying. It's mindblowing that some dev actually thought that was a good idea... - The menu controls and layouts are quite different than Most Wanted but there's no tutorial at the beginning. - Once you get used to drift races, the game is piss easy until you arrive at the last race. Have fun grinding it over 100 times because the difficulty spike is humorously sadistic. - What's the point of zone information appearing if that zone is in my control!? Good luck running away from cops while zone information takes 50% of your UI space. - The most fun moments of the game are cop chases, but at the beginning you get a crew member whose passive ability is to lower the heat after every race... Utterly **** game design. - The only time when I got spiked was when I used a Pursuit Breaker. The game would enter a cinematic where you could see the Breaker destroying cop cars, but your car would be autocontrolled over spikes... Great job devs! I had a decent time playing this game for the first 95% of the playthrough but then all the stupid **** piles up and the horribly difficult last race was the last straw for me. I'd recommend avoiding this game.

A spectacular closure of an epic game serial from the early 2000s. Fantastic writing, direction and game and level design. I loved how Rockstar managed to keep the atmosphere and the flow of Max Payne's games, and how the gameplay is true to the originals. That being said, I'm still not 100% happy with the game because of the introduction of the GTA's style cover the gameplay feels more like GTA's gameplay with bullet time, rather than like Max Payne's guns blazing bullet time hell. There were also multiple situations of bad game design, but they would forgettable because the game's story and atmosphere just **** you in.

If you don't come into this game expecting combat, you will have a great time. Although the title says "Arkham", this game does not have Arkham style combat you would expect. Expect a beautiful graphically appealing VR experience where you use Batman's high tech gadgets for detective work. The game ends when it starts to get really interesting though, and it's lame that you don't get to drive the Batmobile or Batwing when you travel from location to location. Instead, the screen just turns black and you hear the engine and the traveling sounds. Lazy design!

The only thing lacking in the game is its story. It simply doesn't live up to the Human Revolution story. But the game makes up for it with its brilliant gameplay, graphics and atmosphere. People are complaining about 2 things mostly: 1. Bad optimization - I didn't find this was an issue. I had smooth 60 FPS most of the time with GTX 1080, 16 GB of RAM and i7-2600K. I did however turn off MSAA and set shadows to High instead of Very high. 2. Microtransactions I never made a Square Enix account and was never prompted with any microtransactions so this didn't affect my experience. My only complaint excluding the story would be the multiplayer mode Breach. From their marketing I figured out it was an actual multiplayer mode where players fight each other using Deus Ex gameplay. But when I tried it I realized it was a Single player mode with Online leaderboards. Not realy multiplayer in my book. But Deus Ex for me is not a multiplayer experience so I don't really care it ****.

An absolute game designer masterpiece with a masterpiece tier story. A must play for everyone. A word of caution: this is a game with multiple endings. Don't ALT+F4 the game when you get to the first credits roll. Let them play out. Okay, back to the review. Even though I'm going to list a few negatives, the game deserves a perfect rating when you take it into context. This is primarily a hack and slash third person shooter, but the game subtly changes genres throughout the whole game! It ranges from platformer to top down bullet hell shooter! The graphics, the atmosphere, the setting, the voice acting and general execution is top notch. There is not much to praise without spoiling the game. The only downsides are that the actual hack and slash combat is not that deep. At least for me who played on normal difficulty. But, on the other hand, that might be a good thing because you can fool around with the builds and play with the one that is most fun to you! The worst thing that happened to me was one situation when I played for solid 15 minutes before the previous save, and I encountered a mini boss. Everything was going well, I downed him to 10%, when suddenly he for the first time initiates an undodgeable grab move where he grabs you and one shots you...... Not fun... But in spite of all those downfalls, the emotional impact the whole story and the ending has are mind blowing. I recommend watching this Extra Credits video (link: ****/rxC0iIdkO6o ) up to the point of 4:23 when he announces spoilers. Then, I recommend watching the rest of the video after you complete the game. I can't really say when exactly because that would spoil stuff, but the real ending should come around the 20 something hour mark. Then I recommend watching this video: ****/UiOTSKBy6ME Enjoy!

I played Turok 2 around 16 years ago when I was a little kid. A week ago I've seen both Turok and Turok 2 on sale on Steam and I bought it out of nostalgia. Turok 1 is fun but also annoying at times. For example, there are blue portals which randomly spawn from time to time which lead you to a secret level / mini game which if you beat you get a power-up, extra health, new weapon, etc. The mini games are fine, but the problem is that the portals don't go away after you beat all the mini games. There are around 2 mini games per level, and if you beat both of them, the portals will still keep spawning, but if you enter the portal you will get teleported to an already beaten mini game... It's not game breaking, but it's very annoying. The other thing that was annoying was that you a maximum number of lives exist. You can have a maximum of 9 lives and 99 triangles collected. Which means that you can't collect more triangles if you have the previous mentioned number of lives and triangles. I mean... why? ... I'm an achievement **** / collector and I love to everything that I can in the game, and this game wouldn't let me collect everything. Really annoying. Other than that, my only complaint is that the first 60% of the game is very good, while the last 40% is amazing and really fun. I mean, the first boss appears very late, at around 60% of the game and everything after the first boss is very fun and challenging, while before that it's kind of good, but not really amazing. Also, the story is non existent which is too bad. I wish there were at least some written texts just to give some context to your actions. All in all, it was a really good game, it was fun, the graphic's aesthetics were cool, killing cybernetic dinosaurs is hell of a fun, but the game is not worth the $8 that I paid for it.

I've been trying to write a coherent review for this game for the past 5 minutes but I'm utterly speechless. This game is an absolute masterpiece and every single person in this universe needs to play through it at least once. The game has its negative sides but they're all overshadowed with the feeling of awe the game will brilliantly force on you. The game features a non-linear story where your every choice matters, and I was simply amazed with how Dontnod managed to make it you feel like every choice is a bad choice. Brilliant! I can't wait to replay this game to see how the story pans out with the choices I didn't originally make. And I can't wait to show the game to my girlfriend to make her see that the gaming industry is not just Super Mario and League of Legends. I can't wait to see her squirm every time she needs to make a tough choice, and to hug her every time she cries after every episode. This game really left me with the feeling of awe and wonder of how brilliant game designers can be, and playing anything else after this feels utterly pointless... So much emotions to process!

As a PC gamer, I've never played the first Destiny game. I jumped into Destiny 2 with my little brother and my friend for a coop campaign and was not disappointed. Sure, the story is bland, generic, and subtly tries to promote Christianity, but it at least has hilarious and cheerful Cayde. Gameplay is OK. It's not very complex, resembles Borderlands a lot, but at least it's simple. The graphics are absolutely stunning. 12/10. My friends and I would sometimes just stop in the middle of the mission to admire the graphics. The game is a must play at least to experience the worlds and landscapes the ingenious Bungie artists have envisioned and made for us.

Loved this game! Amazing graphics and aesthetics, better gameplay than the first game, overall a more sensible story, and fantastic characters and humor. I took 1 star for the following reasons: - The slow motion camera event when a police's car gets destroyed was removed :( - Console controls and design were annoying as **** I'm specifically talking about camera locks and movement, but also the fact that you have to sit through a 10 second animation to enter or leave the Hackerspace... - The story is good but certain parts of feel forced.

I pre-ordered this game and I am thankful for the launch **** because it taught me not to pre-order games... That being said, I overall liked the game. Hacking was a nice add-on to a GTA-esque style gameplay. The world felt alive due to your ability to hack people to overhear about their personal lives, and the driving aspect was OK. I loved Aiden's style also. That coat is cool! I also liked the dystopian critique technology inside the game's story. But there were a lot of things I didn't like. For starters, the fact that multiplayer didn't work for the first three days after launch... Then, the story starts really interesting but then gets clichéd to oblivion. So overall, I liked the game, hacking invasions were the best thing ever -- I loved seeing the "You're being hacked" message -- the graphics were awesome even though they were downgraded from the demo, and freaking loved that slow motion event when the police's car gets destroyed.

I loved the first part because it had a cool convoluted story, the gameplay was super fun and fast paced, and the soundtrack was awesome. The sequel only covers the amazing soundtrack. The story has so many characters whose stories don't intersect so following their individual stories becomes near impossible. The gameplay is the same, except that the game has so many bugs. For starters, enemies will kill you off screen more times that you could count, so more often than not you will have to resort to a more passive gameplay style of luring them behind the corners. Also, enemies will often bug through walls, get stuck behind furniture, etc. I even experienced a game breaking bug. On the 24th scene of the 6th level, two dogs spawned inside a fountain and couldn't get out, and to my misfortune I have picked the knuckleduster so I couldn't pick up weapons. That meant I couldn't kill the dogs and after 1 hour of wiping on that level I had to restart the level... I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes to get annoyed by video games. Otherwise, skip it and enjoy the original.

It was great seeing the game that defined my childhood come to HD life. However, the game is horribly designed. It's pretty much impossible to find all the keys for the final level without a video guide, and to me that's not very fun. Also, the story is pretty stupid. Gameplay is fun and the weapons are cool, but please don't make the same mistake as I have by not picking the hardest difficulty. You can't lower the difficulty later on so you'll need to do a lot of save scumming. Overall, the game is OK but not worth the full price.

I can't run this game on ultra with a GTX 1080 in 2018. Enough said about its optimization. The graphics are beautiful on high settings on which I played. They captured well the Caribbean aesthetics. The gameplay is pretty off from Assassin's Creed. Stealth is not encouraged and the gameplay is not interesting enough for a game about pirates. The story is pretty stupid, full of plot holes. What was Robert's motives and why didn't he simply kill you? Rogers survived your assassination... I mean, come on... But there are lot of pieces of amazing writing. The IT guy's character is hilarious and well written. Some pirates are their jokes are amazing ("It's a ship not a boat", "We are pregnant!" etc.) But those small pieces of amazing writing are shunned away with a clumsy main story. The game is also waaay to big. The main story is too long, considering what it actually tells and side quests and missions are simply way to repetitive. There are some gems among them, but it doesn't pay off to suffer through the rest of the missions. I enjoyed the modern story much more than Edward's story. Too bad it's very short and not finished at all. Overall, a disappointing experience that tries to be both an Assassin's Creed game and a game about pirates and then falls flat between the two. If you are a fan of a series, I suggest only doing to the main story and not playing many hours per day because you will get burnt out.
