Tetris Effect: Connected0

Tetris with music, that's it. Nothing new at all except he price tag. Insane how overhyped this is. Yet another game flooded with fake ratings and reviews on meta. Disappointing that i can't trust this site anymore.

Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands5

Very inaccurate ratings on here lately. The game is okay, maybe a $10ca game. It's a mobile game also available for $5 for phones. I mainly just play this game while I'm on the train for 5-10min at a time. It's a very simple game that you basically just explore a range of ski slopes, do tricks and compete in a few different event types. The riding mechanics are fine, but it's really nothing amazing or mind blowing, at all. There's a 'zen' mode which makes all the arrows and races disappear so you can get a chill exploration experience. But the ski runs are so annoyingly short I have to keep flipping open the map to travel back up to a new spot after around 15 sec. The Zen experience would be better if there was an endless run option so I can actually get relaxed. The focus is on collecting frustrating little tokens that litter the map and you must collect in order to unlock all the new maps. Very grindy gameplay style that forces you to search maps you may not enjoy just to unlock other maps in hard to reach jumps and spaces just to see any of the other maps. It's an annoying way to add 'hours of content' that I feel is misleading, very much like the price tag that makes me feel this game has extremely poor value for money and I feel ripped off tbh. Probably only worth $10, the game is incredibly overpriced and definitely not worth the $40ca I paid. If you have heaps of spare cash and want a fairly relaxing, nice feeling mobile game for your daily commute or something, maybe you would enjoy this game.

The Wizards - Dark Times7
Aug 25, 2020
Wizards Dark times is a decent game for Rift S with cool gesture-summoning which makes you feel super cool summoning fireballs, shields and heaps of other cool stuff. There is no shortage of spells and they are great and work well with the teleporting mechanic since you are a wizard, so if makes perfect sense as a way to move around. But there are a lot of bugs with teleporting which will get you stuck and greatly limits any exploration, making the experience feel cripplingly linear considering all the cool spells you have to play with. I would have liked some choice on pathing so you can actually use your spells for something other than just combat. The initial novelty of using gestures to summon spells wears off fairly fast and actually my favourite weapon - the ice bow - often got mixed with other very similar gestures, making it basically unusable later in the game. The first hour or so was an absolute blast, but it becomes incredibly repetetive later on and I found I had to force myself to reach the ending which turned out to be quite disappointing anyway. Not a bad game but it suffers from the common problem of a lot of VR titles, that it has a cool concept but just kind of gets boring once you learn the mechanics.

My experience with this **** game: Game starts out with a depressing intro, then after a short time my character bugged out and got stuck on a rock so I had to re-do the entire game. Made it to the same point and it happened again, so I uninstalled this **** game and wish I never wasted my money. What a joke, literally no idea who gave this crap positive ratings, very suss

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare1

i don't care one bit about the politics and didn't bother with the single player due to constant frame stuttering so all the cutscences are basically unwatchable. In multiplayer the game is a camping simulator. Shadows are terribly designed and also your footsteps are so goddamn loud that if you move at all everyone will easily pick you off, so everyone just hides inside buildings and camps. If you want to play ANY other playstyle than camping, you will hate this game, don't bother. I would definitely wait a while before getting this when, hopefully, all the bs is fixed. At the moment it's not worth the money

I want to like this game but I just can't. It's really no different to TF2, but costs money. To be honest it doesn't feel at all like a Blizzard game apart from the price tag. If you literally have nothing else to play then maybe it's OK. With the shooter standard so high these days I was very disappointed

Super Mario 3D Land8

Good game for kids as it is extremely simple and linear with little to no context. As a returning Mario fan I personally got very little enjoyment out of playing through this (very short) game. But assuming it was intended for young kids, it is a pretty great option. Excellent use of the 3D capabilities and a couple of new mechanics. 8/10

200hrs in I still feel like there's a TONNE of stuff to learn. Once you reach the next level of difficulty you just start getting creamed again and feel like a complete noob. You can definitely play the lower ranks in a 'casual' way, but as soon as you get to the higher ranks it's more about the challenge than the enjoyment. Multiplayer is one of the best aspects of this game - coming from someone who solely played with randoms online. Great game, can't recommend it enough. Hands down my favourite game on 3ds so far and on any other platform as well. The immense amount of content and depth they've put into every aspect of the game is just insane. Every monster is so detailed and every fight takes a different approach. TLDR: Amazing game, but say goodbye to your social life.

Definitely worth a play but way too short - finished it in around 2 hours and took my time. Simple but satisfying to explore with diverse landscapes and no UI. Not much else to it. Cool game

Dark, very difficult, extremely frustrating at times and equally addictive. A real roller coaster ride of emotions to play this game. The beginning was definitely the hardest part of the game - simply because I was reluctant to read online guides for tips/advice and had no idea why I kept dying so much. I highly recommend it though, as you will discover a whole lot more content and enjoy the game much, much more. Never thought I'd find myself saying that, but (at least with this game) it's true. Bosses are hard, dying is frustrating as you lose all your 'currency' on death, and it can be a little grindy - so it really is a hardcore game and not a casual gaming experience. Be prepared to die a lot, memorize levels like in the good ol' days and feel really scared when you run into a boss. Great game, but certainly not for everybody

Definitely in the top 3 games I've played on PS4 (or PC for that matter). Definitely worth the money, no question about it. You're choices have a tangible impact on how the game ends and how characters/places change - for better or worse. Amazing graphics and music - found myself quite happy to just explore the world and find new questing areas / things to do - and there's plenty. Characters have been extremely well developed and have real grit about them. Lots of 'love' interests (always good). Monsters are diverse with interesting combat mechanics. Alchemy is great and well worth investing in. Nothing bad to say really- apart from some stupid choices I made in the game leaving me lonely and a little lost in the end - but hey... maybe that's just me. Pro tip - make manual save games often. As once you finish the game, you may want to see what happens when you make a different dialogue choice and if you haven't got a relevant save game, sorry big guy, you're going back to the start.

Plenty of F2P MMO's which will scratch that MMO itch you've probably got. If you've got an Elder Scrolls itch, sorry, this won't do it. Traded this game in for $20 and I'm happy with that value, not worth any more than that. Questing is as generic as it gets with MMOs; voice acting is frustrating since you can probably read a lot faster than they are speaking. After the first few mundane hours of listening to a crappy script read-through, I found myself skipping all the voice acting and having no idea what I'm fetching and for whom - which comprises around 99% of the quests. Combat - generic plus a manual aim crosshair which was /shrug worthy, PvP - maps too big and really unsatisfying. Graphics - nice, but too much glow effects makes it feel like a cartoon and not anything like the bleak/darkness typically seen in the Elder Scrolls Saga. TLDR - Game was a little late to the MMO party and brings nothing new. Plenty of completely free to play games on PC which have been around for years do a better job. If you like MMOs, play one you already have. If you like Elder Scrolls, sorry, you're **** outta luck
