The Aberrant shapeshifts — sword, scythe, hammer, whip, drill — and the combos slap. Powers stack. Bosses are spectacles. Side missions are actually weird in the Remedy way, not checklist junk.Dylan works. Awkward, damaged, trying. The story hits harder than it has any right to.Same studio DNA: brutalist beauty, cosmic bureaucracy, a score that crawls under your skin. Bigger scale. Better action. Still completely itself.

When I found the alien isolation devs did most of this game I was excited. The CRTV is genius. A chunky little handheld TV that hisses, scans, and shows you what’s waiting through walls. It’s not a gimmick. It’s your lifeline, your puzzle tool, and your worst friend.Stealth is tense. Combat is ugly and desperate when you have to fight. Puzzles actually make you think. The story — guilt, corporate rot, a town that won’t stay buried — lands like a punch.Pilotpriest’s score slaps. The Otherworld still slaps. Multiple endings give you a reason to go back.Best new Silent Hill since the classics. Play it.

Best game of the year for me. GTA6 is looking like an interactive movie and not a real game. Zelda is a remake so I have to give more credit for a new IP Crimson Desert. This is better than RE9, Forza, 007, and onimusha.

This is the best indie game I've ever played. Better than Hades, balatro, undertale, vampire survivors etc. You have to omit exhibition 33 from that category though.
