This movie will not be successful. This movie will be forgotten. And yet this movie has a significance that few other movies can boast. These are some of the aspects that contribute to its significance: Female director First movie shot in Botswana True story that nobody knows about Shot on location in historical places that if not for the production of this movie, would have been abandoned and forgotten David Oyelowo stands for all good things in Hollywood. He is the guardian of good tradition and the bringer **** change to the industry. Love has no limits.

I was strongly thinking that I wouldn't give this movie a rating. I felt like I could not possibly put it on a scale of 0.5 to 5, because there was so much to it that I liked and so much of it that I didn't like as much that I was really torn and didn't know what to think. The movie was too long, the accents were bad, Andrew Garfield was great, but his Latin was borderline cringe-worthy. Why did Adam Driver have an accent while the other actors didn't? Does God exist? That is the other reason why I wasn't sure I could rate this movie: faith is one of the most personal things in the world, and this movie is comparable to that. I am sure that it resonated more with some than with others, but that is also the way faith is. Some people live for God and they think of her every moment of their lives. But that is not the case for everyone. Technically speaking, this movie is extremely well made. And nothing less can be expected from Martin Scorsese. However, the story itself may not be as sound. The reason why I am giving this movie 4 stars is that as personal and divisive as this movie is, as soon as I finished watching I felt a calm feeling spread through me. It wasn't the utter joy of La La Land, but it was also not the maddening despair of other movies. It was just calm, calm and silence.

Meh. The end vastly improved this film, but the gaping plot holes and the rude fan service took half a star away. That last scene really pissed me off. And wow, amateur plot holes.

Ma vie de courgette is a film that tells a simple story in a beautiful way. Man, French/Swiss cinema has the soul we dream of. Claude Barras, c'est vrai que tu n'as pas la publicité de Pixar, mais c'est pas grave parce que tu t'en fou. N'arrête pas jamais de faire ce que tu aime.

"Logan is The Dark Knight of the mutant-filled X-franchise" "Explicit violence and salty language (...) adds a bit of much-needed fizz to the Wolverine sub-franchise." "Every frame feels perfectly rendered and absolutely necessary to the narrative trajectory." "Perhaps the best X-Men movie yet." "This is honestly one of the best comic book movies of all time." My turn, poopyheads. Calling Logan the best X-Men movie because it's gritty and dark is like saying Revenge of the Sith is the best Star Wars movie because it's the most 'darkest'. Logan is the worst movie I have seen in a long time. The senseless violence, the flat characters, and the painfully slow pacing take it in that path, and the utter and excruciating lack of plot set that in stone. I am absolutely astounded that this is getting good reviews, I honestly thought it would wither and die like Green Lantern or Fantastic Four(2015). Given the (the following words hurt my hands as I write them) 'critical acclaim' this movie is receiving, let me substantiate my review. Plot: All through the movie people are dying and things are happening. But what is the purpose of it all? Good storytelling does not consist in throwing events into someone's face, good storytelling is making those events matter. All through the movie right until the end I kept asking myself two questions: 'So what?' and 'Why do I care?' And those two questions are the whole basis of good stories. Is it that hard to ask for a movie with characters I can care about? A compelling plot that at lease makes sense? To my dismay, I have read several reviews comparing this with Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and I cannot in any way comprehend how people can insult Christopher Nolan to such a degree. Violence: Clearly inspired by Deadpool, this movie features waterfalls of blood. Senseless violence that is neither fun nor necessary. The Passion of Christ, Se7en, and most Scorsese and Tarantino movies are good examples **** way to employ violence in movies. This is a great example of a terrible way. Characters: The only real character in the whole movie is Professor X, everybody else is flat and devoid of real purpose. Pacing: Stupidly long and extremely poorly paced. I do not recommend this movie to anyone.

Conventional Oscar-baity storytelling? Yes. Borderline generic soundtrack? Yes. Jim Parsons in a movie above and beyond him? Yes. Then why the hell am I giving this movie 4 stars, you may ask... Well, for starters it is Oscar-baity but in a Forrest Gump way, not in a The Birth of a Nation way. Yes, Jim Parsons is in this, but he's the perfect typecast for intellectual **** This and all other casting choices were perfect. I didn't care too much for Mahershala Ali's storyline but it wasn't bad. Overall, an extremely compelling story driven by extraordinary performances makes this movie great. I was extremely skeptical about this movie, and it knocked me off my feet. PS: Kevin Costner lives to play 60s characters. The director rejected Spiderman to direct this, watch out for this guy. The cinematography was amateur, several shots were slightly unfocused for no apparent reason, if not for this, I would've given it 4.5 stars.

"I'm T, S, **** A. We handle **** That's what we do." I wholeheartedly hope Get Out gets nominated for Best Original Score. This is Michael Abels' first movie score and he absolutely kills it. Bringing back violins to horror movies was genius. Watch this movie with an audience. It really improves the experience.

VISCERAL (visceral) a. 1. Felt in or as if in the internal organs of the body. 2. Dealing with crude or elemental emotions. Merriam-Webster Dictionary Should I be worried with the fact that I liked this movie so much? As with any movie that I rate 5 stars, absolutely nothing that you read here will do the movie justice. This film was stunning. When I came into the theatre I had not seen the trailer for this movie and knew close to nothing about it. As soon as credits rolled I was shocked to my core and completely speechless. If I had to describe this movie in one sentence, as bad as it sounds, I would say it is unlike anything I have ever seen before. If I had to describe it with one word, I would say visceral. Raw perfectly captures sibling relationships and adolescence. It has extraordinarily good musical choices both in the score and in the soundtrack. It also has the most shocking depiction of cannibalism I have seen in my entire life. As strange as it sounds, the scenes featuring cannibalism are oddly relatable. I can't really say why this film works, all I know is it does. It had several of those moments when you really want something to happen but you know it won't, and it doesn't. Except in this movie, it did. I felt my jaw drop at least five times. Finally, it has extremely funny moments that come out of nowhere and alleviate the dark nature. Wow! Raw is also a special movie to me. Of all the movies I have rated 5 stars it is the only one that I would not recommend to everyone. It is extremely graphic and, some would say, disgusting. And I **** loved it. This is Julia Ducourneau's first movie and I cannot wait until the next one. Conclusion: If you have trouble seeing blood and gore, stay away from this. If not, eat it up like a raw human leg.

**** please!" Kong: Skull Island is a movie that develops characters well enough to make the plot compelling while having awe-inspiring and impressive action sequences. Hats off to Industrial Light & Magic for the special effects, they are flawless. The cinematography is also very impressive, there are multiple shots that are landscape porn and beautiful sunsets all around. I want to see more blockbusters like this. Also, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and especially John C. Reilly gave very good performances. Every scene looks believable and I flinched several times on some of the more visceral ones. Go see it.
