Tokyo Story is a film which shows us sometimes the simplicity of a film can just embrace its greatness. The "Tatami Shot" makes the viewer feel as they are one of the members of family. The lighting and shots really push you into the atmosphere this movie creates. It is an old movie. There are sequences of the camera getting cut within dialogs. Even though it is intented to make it easy to watch and understand dialogs deeply, some may find it overwhelming. We can see it as a downside of the beloved "Tatami Shot".
