Easily one of the most boring "thrillers" I have ever seen. Even the "twist(s)" in the film have little or no effect on the fact that he is severely injured and needs to survive. To say the story was slow or predictable is a severe understatement. If you remember the movie Benji about the dog lost in the woods, this is pretty much the same thing, but substitute the dog for an academy award winning actor. Even Brody's accolades can't bring this movie out of the boredom basement

Special effects were out of this world awesome, and the storyline was pretty **** was about an hour too long! It spends a good 40 minutes of the movie before it even gets to King Kong! then we still have to witness his capture/relationship with Naomi Watts' character, and his tirade in New York City! I have only been able to watch it all the way through in one sitting once. Also, Jack Black just drags the cast down. There are SOO many other great actors in the movie that he sticks out like a sore thumb. Great "try" but I expected better.

The acting is great and their dedication to the project is amazing (read up on how much weight they all lost!). But the story seems just a little too predictable and slow for me when watching a hostage/rescue movie. I would prefer The Way Back or Black Hawk Down to this movie, but it is still a gripping tale of a (somewhat) true story. Would have liked to see a bit more of the evasion/escaping but still liked the struggle between the characters and their minds.Definitely worth a watch

LOVED THIS! For a modern day horror movie, this is as good as they get! Unique story and the best part is that it is a very "physical" interpretation of ghosts and spirits. You actually see them throughout the movie instead of the occasional moving curtain, bump in the night, etc. Loved the idea. The ending was a tiny bit disappointing, but still was a great movie overall. Oh and the song in the movie makes it so much creepier!!!

The characters are just too awkward with each other. Even as they grow closer they seem to get more awkward in their actions, words, and emotions towards each other. Oh, and the main character is a SUPER creeper. He snoops on her phone calls, text messages, computer, and follows her from a distance. It seemed as if he learned very little at all and pretty much forced the girl in the movie to be stuck with him out of his own selfishness...I really wanted to like the movie, but just couldnt.

I only have 2 complaints: Some of the dialogue was difficult to understand in places, although the parts I was unable to discern were not likely necessary to understand the plot. Secondly, The ending was rather abrupt for my liking. It seemed that once they found Chaney, the movie was finished in a matter of minutes. I felt like Josh Brolin was in the movie for 3-4 minutes total to me. Those critics who gave this movie bad reviews because it wasn't close enough to the original really frustrate me. Why would anyone want a new movie to copy an old one frame for frame? I thought the movie held true to the the values and driving characteristics of the original, while taking liberties of adding in variations of their views of the story. Overall, I thought it was an excellent western worth watching over and over.

I am a huge fan of both books and movies in the vein of the religious/spiritual supernatural, this one failed to leave an impact on me. I love Anthony Hopkins, but he seemed very forgettable as a character in this movie. The main character seems to continuously repeat the same lines, emotions, and reactions which gets old fast. There were a few cool scenes during the exorcisms but nothing that was new or more shocking than any other exorcism movie that I had seen. I watched this movie just 3 days ago but am already having a hard time remembering it.

While not Liam Neeson's best, the role does suit him well. A mysterious thriller movie, I definitely was pretty stunned by the outcome of the conflict. The movie did a great job of keeping details skewed enough but not too vague in order to keep the watcher hooked. Although some of the details didn't add up once the secret was revealed, most of the movie was actually pretty believable. Definitely recommend watching at least once.

While it was definitely not what I was expecting, Hanna was an enjoyable movie. I would have liked to see much more of Hanna's skills be put to the test, and the antagonist was extremely unfitting. The ending was unclimactic but there were a few shimmers **** movie that shined through. The soundtrack was epic and I thought Eric Bana did a fairly good job as Hanna's "father". Unfortunately, the plot was pretty confusing, the enemies were very odd and several events did not make sense (she could figure out how to use a computer but not turn off a ceiling fan?). I would say it is worth a watch, but definitely not one to buy for your home collection.

X-Men: First Class7

Much better than the past 2-3 X-Men movies this one familiarizes us with the origins of X-Men and the conflicts between the "good" and "bad" mutants. Set among the tensions of the Cold War, this movie definitely sets the stage for future heavy-hitting x-men movies. Although I would have preferred a couple of the mutuants be more "spectacular" and exciting (there is one who has fairy-type wings and shoots small balls of fire from her mouth) the cast and characters do a commendable job of making the movie enjoyable and not too corny. Definitely worth a watch and I am actually looking forward to sequels.
