While I think this movie is highly underrated & misunderstood, it still has its flays, a lot of flaws. And it’s by no means a great film, but it is one that’s is interesting and tries something new especially when acting as a remake to a classic slasher film with huge fan base.POSITIVES:- Last 45 minutes are great! They’re essentially just a modernized more bloody version of John Carpenter’s 1978 film, and it’s easy the best part of the film in my opinion. Although it takes a while to get there tho.- Michael Myers (played by Tyler Maine) is great in this and the scariest Michael Myers in my opinion.- The mask is awesome- Laurie Strode is also great in thisNEGATIVES:- First hour of the film is ****. A way to drawn out Rob Zombie style backwoods hillbilly version of Michael Myers childhood.- for the love of god write a better script. While I think Rob Zombie is actually a great director for the most part, his scripts are terrible. The script in this movie is trash filled with ****, **** & **** every other word. Which really takes you out of the film.- doesn’t know what it’s trying to be. This movie feels like they had 2 different ideas of how to present Michael Myers. On one hand your supposed to hate Michael Myers for the terrible things he’s doing. On the other hand they almost have you sympathizing with him the first have of the movie. Not really clear how they want you to feel, which is kind of important when your making a **** Michael Myers film.Overall, this movie is a very flawed and miss matched film that still tries something interesting, but doesn’t quite hit the **** rush, check it out on streaming.

Good enough movie. One of Christopher Nolan’s mid film I will say as a causal fan of Christopher Nolan (my favorite being interstellar) a 3 hour epic of the true story of Dr. Oppenheimer and the atomic bomb. If you’re into history this movie has enough there for you, but it does fall somewhat flat at what it’s trying to do and the structure of the story is clunky and convoluted, the worst part about the movie for me. If your a film buff like myself there’s something there for you but nothing too groundbreaking other than a special effects masterclass. I did find myself somewhat dissatisfied with what I was expecting but if you go in with an open mind and not too many expectations you should enjoy it. It’s on 4k now, check it out. 7.8/10

Rewatched this movie last night and it’s still one of my favorite movies. Upon rewatch this film has moved up from my top 40 to top 30 and I can safely say this will definitely get more rewatches from me in the future.
