I found it to be boring. Second half is mildly interesting...like a fever dream. But overall it's like a beautifully-made music video but lacks cinematic sparks or real substance. Feels pretentious and at times too obvious too.

A stunning knockout and an instant classic & cult film where creativity knows no bound. Layers of beauty and complexity. Pursue of selfhood, self-realization and self-reinvention. Full of hearts and delicate human conditions. Unparalleled boldness and singular vision. Unapologetic and uncompromised. Equal part Greek & Shakespearean tragedy and fearless contemporary opera. Unpolished and raw. Down and dirty, and rough around the edge. Brutally honest. Mysterious yet enthralling. Tenderness and violence come in lockstep. This masterpiece will forever have a special place in cinema history.

This has got to be the worst LGBT romance movie I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Painfully flat. Zero sparks. Forced emotion. Extremely shallow. An absolute train wreck. Two leads have no personalities. They are just "types". Relationship not convincing at all. Some characters are so stereotyped to the extent that it's borderline insulting. It's ok that main character is a LGBTQ activist, but it's not ok every minute this guy is trying to lecture people (audience). This relentless push to be politically correct made the movie lack basic humanity. I don't think somebody so obsessed with being gay (we need to be reminded practically every minute) is capable of falling in love. Certainly felt like it was written and directed by people devoid of any basic understanding of cinema art. Frankly those people should not be in movie business. Please don't waste any minute of your precious life on this kind of Hollywood garbage!

It's a good debut movie. But it's also boring...rather mundane about the extramarital affair. The excellent acting of the young actor who played the son really saved this movie

Outstanding film making. I'm impressed with many details of the film, particularly the atmosphere, the acting and the makeup. However, there is a strong Hollywood-like sensational tendency which is a turn-off to me.

Really boring, bland, banal. The actress was good but the material is not interesting. Offers little insight or real depth about growing up.

A well-made film, tight and intense. The theme is somehow ordinary and predictable. Execution of acting and film-making is excellent. The boy actor is a stand-out.

A rich, unusual film that hits me like a train. Tour de force direction from François Ozon and magnificent performance from 2 leads. Gorgeous cinematography. Full of illumination of humanity and complexity. A film that won't be forgotten.

Thrilling to watch the duo of Emmanuelle Devos and Natalie Baye. Excellent acting with sparks between 2 great actresses. Slow-burning suspense thriller. Intense and unpredictable. A little melodramatic towards the end but overall a very enjoyable viewing experience.

Beautiful images of gourmet food, behind the scene preparation and worldwide travel and food tasting. Not necessarily a very profound film but it's nonetheless a pleasure to view.

Not an easy film to watch. Austere and authentic. It avoids overly dramatic tension and dives directly into characters and their artistic devotion. Acting is superb especially Vincent Lindon. Cinematography is beautiful.

Enjoyable and moving. The attachment to the land, and the love that bonds the siblings. Maybe a little melodramatic at times. The film itself is like a bottle of light and drinkable wine.

An understated, poetic film set in a quiet countryside during a tumultuous time. Serves as an alternative perspective to war and its casualties. Nathalie Baye, Laura Smet, Iris Bry all gave a first-rate performance. The pacing is on the slow side. Needs patience to take it all in.

Highly stylish. Beautifully shot. Intense and thrilling to watch. Story is a bit predictable. Not bad at all for a first feature film. Makes me think of those famous films that showcase the beauty of violence.

It's a brutally honest film, including a few uncomfortable scenes. Watching this film actually made me reflect on personal experience and see how stupid some past actions can be. Searching for love is not all rose and honey. We stumble along the way. Not a polished film but feels real and close to life.
