Combat is intense but repetitive. The story is for someone like Peter Pan, an adult child. It's not dark or gritty, plus the art direction is bizarre. The characters have this uncanny valley feel to them. I am pretty sure motion capture wasn't used in this game because your character can be shouting but their face looks blank, with zero emotion. Plus, the game director injected their feelings about being Trans into the game way too much. This game isn't about inclusivity, it's about making a real-world political point and it's so obvious it's almost heartbreaking. No finesse, delicacy or skill went into the writing, your dialogue choices are absolutely irrelevant. Plus the ending.... it has nothing to do with the protagonist or their journey. By the end, I felt like my team where a bunch of jolly murderers going from battle to battle telling ridiculous jokes as the world was supposed to be ending. Don't waste your money.

I feltlike this game was a reasonable return to form, from Bioware. Gone are the days when Bioware games were edgy, gritty and morally ambiguous but at least they told a fully flushed out story with good villeins and interesting companions. The combat is leaps and bounds better than DO2 but this isn't enough to make stand toe to toe with DAO. EA has firmly started to dilute the original product.

Extremely repetitive gameplay, the dialogue wheel feels useless and you will often pick options that send you in a direction you did not want to go. The story is enjoyable but without Origins, Dragon age 2 was quite forgettable. No serious final boss, or overarching enemy, your companions are reasonably interesting but there is not real reason why they should be fighting through all of those life threating trials together like in Origins. Personally this game feel like a plastic mass market version of Origins.

I love this game. Of course even back in the 2010s the graphics weren't incredible but the story was absolutely epic! Dark fantasy at it's best.

I'm baffled! Lazy, wasteful, incompetent, I could go one. The amount of wasted potential here because of greed and stupidity. Just what were the devs thinking???
