A fun, charming and sometimes goofy diving SIM & light arcady restaurant manager. I was enjoying this one a lot, there are quite a lot of mechanics unlocking as you progress through the story. Playthrough takes around 30 hours, double this for completionists who want to max everything. At the end game it can overstay its welcome since some minigames take way longer than the story to complete. There are some missing QoL features for certain locations that I won't mention to keep it spoiler free. Overall it has minor flaws but is a very good game regardless.

It's a decent rogue-lite miner. You mine for resources, balance upgrades between more efficient resource gathering and being able to defend the base every so often. Presentation is nice and gameplay loop is pretty self explanatory. I did find the game becoming pretty repetitive after 4 hrs or so, so I am just getting a few more achievements before calling it quits. I do not regret buying it, but for a game of this genre it has fairly small amount of content. The runs do feel sorta samey and unlocking new stuff is very few and far between, this could have been done better imho. Still, overall a fairly good game.

I only played 2½ hours (2 runs) and was already bored within the first run. They tried to cheaply copy the system of Slay the Spire but the pacing just doesn't feel right in the Gwent engine. The fact that you always play 1 full round vs any enemy means that there is far less strategy than with multiple rounds. Also, I used to play Gwent a few years ago and I recognized about 90% of the cards and UI from Gwent. So engine, and the majority of assets are simply copy-pasted. Since gameplay and pacing fell completely flat for me I was hoping that the game would make up for it in the story department, we are talking Witcher lore after all. However, there isn't really any story whatsoever, you got 2 mages with voice snippets reading out a generic line every now and then but nothing even remotely comparable to the Witcher or even Thronebreaker. If you played Gwent before, this will be too repetitive. If you have played Slay the Spire before, this will feel inferior, if you played Thronebreaker before, this will feel empty. If you have never played any of the other titles or any competing products, then by all means, give it a shot. It's not a terrible game. It's mediocre all things considered, but I expected far better.

It's a very simplistic arcady fishing game. There is an extremely light "story" that can be completed in around 3 hours total. Pacing and balance feels off. There is no difference between the first tutorial fish you catch and the last legendary fish in the game, other than a different sprite. Every location feels and plays exactly like the last, with minor visual differences. But the gameplay is repeated exactly. The quest and delivery system is flawed, since they seem randomly generated and endless, it doesn't feel rewarding doing or completing them since there is no payoff in terms of NPC involvement, unique rewards, etc. Speaking of NPCs, there is a town with some NPCs but they feel like placeholder. No dialogue, story, or involvement. You have your shops and 3 guys asking to pick up the underwater spawns and that's it, lame. All the lake contents refresh when you enter/leave the water.. so you end up hopping in and out of the lake constantly until the game spawns the specific fish in the specific colour that you need. Feels very poorly thought out. The fishing mechanic itself is fine. You pick your gear, cast your line, and fish will bite near the bait. Click space in the correct zone until the fish has no HP left and then spam space to reel in. I don't like that you have to spam space for reeling in, I would prefer being able to hold it instead. The writing/story is written in poorly worded English with attempted humour, fell completely flat for me. I didn't encounter any major issues in terms of bugs/performance, it works.

Battle animations are very, very slow. Even setting text speed to fastest possible it still just takes way too long for battles to commence. Why do I need to dismiss 5 separate XP messages one after another, every time, when it could just be summarized in 1 screen instead? Controls are a bit iffy with keyboard+mouse. Cannot bind abilities to different hotkeys. Have to hold F for a few seconds, then select ability, then cancel out of screen, and only then can an ability be used. A process that should be instant (with hotkeys) takes 5+ seconds per action instead. Potential system is a bit of hit and miss for me. In order to get a "perfect" coromon (biggest statgrow), it needs to have a potential of 21. I have never seen a 21 in the wild but found three 20s. You can use a machine to upgrade the potential of a coromon for gold, however this system is flawed as it will mostly not work (20 stays 20, and removes ability to retry). What this results in is a very tedious process of saving, giving your monster to an NPC, walking around for a few minutes, and then seeing it didn't work. Reload the save and repeat the process a good 20 or so times per coromon. Not only does this feel super stupid, but it's a gigantic waste of time, too. Instead of making things super low probability, requiring reloads and retries over and over, just up the price and make it reliable. Story and Quests were cliché but works. Around 34 hrs to complete on normal difficulty. Light puzzle elements, which i found mostly easy but someone who hates puzzles might struggle with. Milestone rewards/level reached too early. Last third of the game or so didn't get any more rewards from milestones. Ending and last 2 areas felt rushed. Lack of side quests or interesting stuff the further you progress. There is online play which I didn't really get into because it requires all those time-wasting grind mechanics (plus fruit grind) multiplied by a factor of a thousand. Not my thing. Overall, many time-wasting mechanics, made me not want to hunt for a completion. If there was a "fast battleanimation" setting, and bindable hotkeys for overworld skills, and reliable potentification I believe I would have had a lot more fun. It's a decent Pokémon clone, but doesn't excel.

it's a very good game in terms of polish, gameplay, aesthetics. I finished it with KB+M but I think controller would work better. The issue I have with the game is the massive amount of backtracking required. Most areas in the game have cut off sections that require Skill A, B, C etc so you will find yourself revisiting the same areas over and over again. I also found the maps not detailed enough. It shows just a massive room with no detail whereas it should be showing the tunnels and maze if we already went through it multiple times. You have markers but cannot add text to the markers, making them significantly less useful. Indoor locations have no map whatsoever. Many of the areas are build like mazes, which was annoying because of this. Currency felt pretty useless very early on. I found myself with tens of thousands of currency with nothing to spend it on. The first 5-10 hours required currency and the other 20+ hours I basically needed none whatsoever. Definitely missing some vendors or stocked items here. While bosses can be annoying to deal with at times, in particular due to the map layout and often long backtracking (up to 15 minutes per attempt in some cases), they are overall pretty fun. The mechanics are done well and after 2-3 attempts I found myself having learned their moveset and timings enough to beat them. You cannot brute force them which was nice. Overall a good game with some annoyances.

A single player Mafia/Werewolf game? How would that even work, I asked myself. Well, they managed to pull it off. It works surprisingly well. I thought it would be a story focused visual novel with light Mafia elements, but that's actually not the case. The focus actually lies on the gameplay and the story elements are unlocked progressively, depending on character combinations and round status. The dialogue can be very repetitive, because elements such as "accuse person X", "defend person X", etc. only have 1 line per character, so variance is a bit lacking which becomes very obvious after a few rounds. There are 8 different roles present, including 3 evil ones, each with different tasks and interactions. In the beginning you will find yourself checking out voting patterns, keeping mental notes on who sided with whom and looking for any contradictions in role reports. As you progress you gain experience which can be used to level your character, making him more influential, less detectable, etc. You will also gain special "skills", which will be allowed to be used in specific scenarios. For example, instead of just stating "I defend Person X" you can state "Person X is definitive good, due to role action". I found the combination of both empowering aspects far too powerful, as you will no longer need to pay close attention to the mechanics. The player will become so powerful, they alone dictate who will be voted, and their influence can successfully defend even confirmed guilty people. As of me writing this, there are two major bugs present in the stable Steam release: 1.) Visual bug on AMD cards that replaces characters by a boxed portrait (possible fix if signing into beta branch) and 2.) After having the game open for an extended period of time character behaviour will glitch, where they will no longer use their special abilities. This results in vastly more monotone gameplay and can prevent progression due to certain learning-scenes or story-scenes not triggering. Frequent restart of game is required to temporarily fix this bug. (every few loops). Still, over all, I was impressed by the gameplay. The visuals and light story complement the game nicely. Very fun if you enjoy social deduction games but don't have a group of friends available. Completing everything took me around 20 hours. I'd say give it a shot.

Pretty decent puzzle game. About 6 hrs of content. Gameplay is reminiscent of Paper's please, where you greet 1 customer at a time, check your handbook for infos, navigate items on your table/work area and have to sometimes make choices The only big difference is that there are no time constraints here, so it's far less hectic and more forgiving when making errors. The story is rather weak, you inherit a flower shop and immediately people flock to your flower shop to shower you in totally unrelated conspiracy theories, it felt hamfisted/forced to get a plot going in an totally unrelated setting. I did not care for the characters or story at all. Organising the flowers/mushrooms was a bit annoying, there were some missing QoL features, such as correctly identified plants not being marked in the book. There is a paper map for visiting places and solving certain puzzles and that part I found done well. The puzzles were neither too easy nor too hard. Overall fairly decent. Biggest downside is the story+characters, which the game didn't manage to make me interested in.

Cookie cutter puzzle game. Terribly boring cookie cutter story (evil wizard imprisoned the damsel in distress). Stages very low on variety. Collect orbs, go to exit. Sometimes hit a button or try a different route due to collapsing bridges. Press a button to spawn a mirror image of you who does half the work. After 4 or 5 levels things already felt very samey, with only layout changes but no cool mechanics. Typical 3 star rating system depending on how fast a level is solved. Would make an OK mobile game, bit too shallow for PC. Game runs & looks fine. Can be fine to play for someone who wants a very simplistic puzzle experience with familiar mechanics.Overall meh.

This is a casual management game with nice aesthetics. The management is extremely light and I found the difficulty to be non-existent. It felt like no matter what I did revenue just increased and all the game's goals and progression was handed to me with zero challenge. The management is severely lacking, as an example if you have a kitchen with 2 cooks, 1 of which has a bonus for soups and another a bonus for main dishes, the soup guy will make main dishes while the main dish cook will make soups. I thought, oh well stupid AI I guess I'll manually tell the cooks what to do: You cannot. There are no options to tell a cook what to cook. Such a basic thing. Waitresses do have a priority filter, but I found it to not work correctly. I have a waitress who gains extra money when delivering foods and so I put her food priority to maximum and everything else to minimum and followed her. There are 3+ dishes waiting in the kitchen and she continues to deliver drinks and clean tables. There is also no customization of staff, they all look the same to me with slightly altered skin tone. Over all, I was severely craving anything to be able to manage something, so that I can see my actions have an impact of efficiency or ratings. But there is nothing like that, it's close to no management with very easy-going profit. It's so simplistic, I felt like this was made for mobile or something. The building and furniture placement is basic but functional. However, again severely lacking in the management department because there are no customer satisfaction systems in place. E.g. there are no mechanics for dirt, noise, cramping, etc. So all you do is spam every tile with seating without any brain and it will work out. Carefully planning perfect open paths for waitresses etc. are not only not needed but useless. Decorations all scale with their cost, meaning it's pointless to place anything but the most expensive wall hangings (since floor space is needed for seating). You can of course make a visually pleasing tavern, but the gameplay punishes it because there are no mechanics to reward doing so. The customers are very simple, they come in the morning and stay until midnight. I don't think I have seen them leave ever. You cannot click on them or see their needs etc. because they have none. They seem to have a waiting patience timer based on some tooltip of musicians, but I have never once managed to see that in action. There are no toilets or any other needs, unfortunately. Which again makes the game super simple. Even though I stated so many negatives, I actually feel like the game is mediocre, it wasn't unfun playing through the game. However, it was mindbogglingly easy with close to no management. If you are looking for a super casual experience, this might even be worth a look. If you are looking for a business sim with management, this game will sadly disappoint heavily in that regard.

That aside the game is also very short, took me 3 hours total to complete the entire story mode, which felt more like a tutorial. Gameplay loop gets stale afterwards because nothing new happens. By the time I finished I never even needed to expand and was still using standard kennels. Overall pretty meh.

This is an extremely well crafted, polished game with an addicting gameplay loop. I "finished" the game (main objective/ all missions/story) but due to the nature of the game I can easily play a few hundred more hours. I also like how this game can be enjoyed by casuals who finish the game via a huge belt-spaghetti mess as well as the hardcore programmer who finetuned his megabase with open excel spreadsheets, blueprints, ingame logicgates and thousands of robots alike. How you play is up to you and it feels really rewarding once you successfully solve logistic problems in your own way and seeing it come to fruition. There aren't really any negatives I could think of outside of obvious design choices, e.g. there isn't really any story to speak of other than "you crashed on an unknown planet - build a rocket". Creative players especially will have a blast as well as anyone who likes logical problem solving. Overall fun and hard not to recommend.

This felt much more like an expansion/addon rather than a standalone-game. Mechanically, it's pretty much the same as Subnautica, with very minor alterations. Flora and Fauna is pretty much the same except altered to be the "ice-version". Too little changes for me unforunately, I would have loved to see totally new enemies, totally new fish, new items to craft! Oh well. Size wise it's also much smaller than the base game / first game. Most of the content is above 400meters with minor exceptions in the endgame. The story and music was weaker in my opinion, despite them adding a meetable NPC and voice acting. I couldn't connect with the MC at all and unfortunately their decision to move from a neutral character that the player feels represents himself to a predetermined character meant I didn't experience any horror at all this time around. You have the same enemies with the same AI, doing the same thing, except they are reskinned. Caves are much smaller and you constantly bump into things. Seatruck is a **** seamoth that gets stuck everywhere. Overall I enjoyed the core gameplay loop that was already established and proven to work in Subnautica. The other stuff was passable at best. I just didn't feel anything this time around, the epicness of the soundtrack of the 1st was missing, the sheer horror from the unknown was missing (because everything was re-used there is no "unknown"), the stories didn't get tied up but are rather left to interpretation. That being said the core gameplay is still good, so 6/10 for me. It's fine but could have been done a lot better. I'd think of it more like an expansion though.

A lot great things about the game: Great style, fantastic voiceacting, good sound design, good UI etc etc. however where it fell apart for me after about 15 hrs or so is the gameplay: it's too repetitive. Every run felt more or less the same and the "boons" and trinkets don't really mix up gameplay. So it felt like a gigantic repetitive grind to do the same thing over and over again in the same floors vs the same enemies and the same bosses and that for a few more scraps or a tiny bit of story progression and if you grind the same repetetive thing (that you already beaten 40 times) just a few more dozen times you might be able to one day afford that upgrade that boosts something by 10% *YAWN*. also the weapons felt too samey, overall I have played roguelikes/roguelites that had WAY better variety where some runs you would have a completely different upgradeprogression than others and the gameplay was entirely different based on that and sometimes you hit a jackpot with some ridiculous combos, or something that tremendously mixed up the repetitiveness. Not here - repetitiveness is the name of the game, and not in a good (addicting) way, but the tedious, "why am I wasting my time" type of repetitiveness. overall: 6/10, Fine. Everything is a solid 9/10 but gameplay drags it down to mediocrity.

It's ok. I played every Harvest Moon game starting with the original in 1998 up until about A wonderful life in 2005ish. So I am well aware of the genre, the good and bad titles and the gameplay loop. This game unfortunately in 2020 falls a bit flat. I would recommend it if you are hardcore nostalgia and want exactly the old game from 17 years ago. After playing games like **** Valley and the huge improvements made in terms of gameplay, writing, and scope I cannot fully enjoy a game like this anymore. I was honestly bored pretty quickly already at the end of the first season. The map is very small (which was understandable 17 years ago on a gameboy..) but it's the same case here. There really isn't much to do, you do your crops, animals, then some fishing (which has zero interaction), or mining. Mining is just terribly dated, after just 2-3 floors I am loathing the gameplay because all you is digging up ground until you find a ladder and there is nothing in the mines, no sense of discovery. No mystery, no enemies, nothing. The graphics are OK at first but honestly lack character, everything looks generic like lastgen and I honestly prefer the design of the original. The sound design is pretty dull, and the writing barebones to say the least. Festivals are always welcome from the monotone loop however atleast during the first year I found you aren't really able to properly participate due to certain criteria which is a shame. Overall I think Marvelous missed a great opportunity by expanding on the original and implementing more content or features, there are very minor quality of life improvements over the original but over all the experience, especially after playing stadew valley, falls rather flat. Another thing to address is the pricepoint which for me was 50€ / $58 USD which is roughly 3.6 **** valleys. As a gigantic fan of the genre I give this a 6/10, it's fine but not great.

VERY buggy, Feels like Early Access, I played for 4 hours and encountered at least 10 bugs. Some minor, others major. These include but were not limited to: staff not cleaning anything despite all rooms dirty and putting everything in cleaning on maximum priority, even closing. Staff pathing bugs, constantly walking in and out of the same room. Dirty dishes multiplying on their own in a shelf. Garden not growing randomly. Staff unable to refill candles and giving no candles error despite having hundreds of candles in stock. Staff and customers getting stuck in furniture. Game randomly crashing without any error whatsoever. Weird textbox glitches. Pathfinding in general not working as expected. I then uninstalled and wait a few months until this mess is patched. As Early Access / Beta title I would give this a 7/10 because bugs have to be somewhat tolerated, as a full release after 1.0 this is a total disaster. Has potential though, just need to wait at least a few more month as game is clearly nowhere near finished nor has any QA been done.

I'm only rating the single player since I have no interest in the multiplayer at all. The main missions are fun yet formulaic. I found some bugs especially with cars vanishing, or stocks not being given while robbing your bank account. Speaking of bank account I wished there was more to money, I saved my money until I had enough to buy the businesses (except for golf course which is extremely expensive) however I was disappointed the businesses are rather bland, most offer nothing except for X $ per week and you can't even walk into your business or anything. The side missions are pretty repetitive and some are way too long to squeeze out playtime such as collecting 30 metals, etc which takes tedious hours. the combat is dull and the way you level/sleep making the world move on and giving diseases to people just because you wanted to use your skillpoints is counter productive, I found myself often not wanting to spend EXP because then I would have to run around curing everyone again which is tedious as there is no mini map nor fast travel. The world is empty and locations just look the same everywhere. the dialogue and story were meh at best. I didn't find myself caring about any of the characters and even if you did their missions it never resulted in anything. Just a hint found, done. No conclusion, no twists, nothing. The way that enemies levels are tweaked to always completely outlevel you even when consuming citizens is annoying to say the least. I was 8 levels below all enemies and having troubles so I decided to eat 2 citizens and spent the EXP. By doing that the world advances and the enemies gain more levels again thus me sacrificing citizens didn't do anything.. I had to check out this game since I love everything about Harvest Moon-esque farming simulators. Unfortunately the game falls flat. Let's start with the most obvious: The visuals. I personally dislike them heavily, a lot of the assets such as plants are copy pasted or mirrored, character models in the game look very bad, perspectives are wrong and look at times comically bad (especially houses). I liked the sprites used in dialogues though. The Pacing in this game is completely off too, you get thrown into the game with way too much unlocked, a lot of cosmetic items. Recipes for example are already unlocked from the start, progression in general feels bad and not carefully placed like in Startdew. Items in this game sometimes just get teleported into your fridge such as fish and crops and a lot of items are poorly implemented or uninspired. You will find yourself picking up "blue flower", "red flower", "yellow flower". That is literally what they named them. The game has barely any animations, actions aren't animated at all. Chopping wood will simply show an Axe symbol, breaking rocks a hammer symbol and so on, nothing is animated. Inventory management is intuitive and mobile-esque with an action wheel and no precise options. The map itself is one huge speck of land with no love for detail or areas whatsoever, a shame. Same goes for the "map", which is just a radar with some hotspots and no actual map. The farming and mining system is very basic, cowclicker like. The is some strategy in splicing and combining seeds but it is unfortunately poorly explained (such as what quality means), how stacking works etc. The sound design is pretty.. dull. The dialogue is passable however isn't really adjusted to reflect a characters personal tone. Overall I was hugely disappointed in almost all aspects. tldr; Poor aesthetics, missing animations, sound design non existent, bad pacing and balance, mediocre dialogue and characters, dull gameplay, world uninspired with no love for detail. Overall a pass, even for diehard fans of the genre.

Very well done survival Game. Great gear, crafting, basebuilding and a true sense of discovery. The story is very hard to reach though, I found myself lost for 20+ hours not knowing what to do, due to radio messages stopping and no real sense of progression. Had to solve this via wiki Coordinates several times. The concept of discovering and scanning tech and thus upgrading your capabilities is great until you find yourself missing crucial gear to advance and can't find the sometimes very scattered and extremely hard to find pieces. Feels like searching for needles in a haystack since you are literally combing the ocean floor for anything you missed. Again - the game could make use of much more direction the way it does in the beginning with radio messages. Graphically it's a great game, looks nice on max settings, the water and sunset, the little water drops, everything looks good. The draw distance however is pretty lackluster and as of finishing the game there were massive texture and terrain pop ins. I still enjoyed it greatly despite it flaws, however without patience and wiki consultance I don't think I'd ever been able to finish this game.

This is my favourite game in the last 10 years. So far the Dev released 6 patches (in 3 weeks) and the game itself is marvellous and reminiscent of old times when games were created to be fun, not to make the most amount of money. A very nostalgic experience with all the touches of life-improvement modern features. Amazing.

I was really looking forward to playing this game after reading up on the unique mechanics. Robbing from other people while trying to protect your own house from thieves who in return will do the exact same? Awesome! Unfortunately this game is the most unforgiving experience you will ever have. I played ca. 20 hours of this game and while it was very promising at first you quickly realize that this game beats new players into the ground so hard that it's simply unfun to play or start playing. You will do the same thing over and over again because there is no way to make money in the game other than #1 having access to spare money for tools or #2 refreshing the browserlist to farm noobs. Unfortunately when you start out you can only make reliable money the second way. After 4 days I managed to finally build a respectable house only to find it completely ripped apart by 20 different thieves the next day. There is nothing in the game to protect you while you are gone and even though I did manage to kill or scare off 99% of the robbers the 1% is enough to entirely ruin your progress and make you start over from scratch. Speaking of starting from scratch, you will do this indefinitely. 1 wrong move and you are dead, and so is that house and trapsystem you have been working on for countless hours. Just lame: even testing your own house will permanently kill you. Also the game is too buggy to support permadeath. You run into your opponents house and only see a child in the corridor. You simply ignore it and move on, but wait - you died. RIP house, RIP hours of work. What happened? Well, there was a invisible pitpull INSIDE of the childs body, yep objects share tiles sometimes and are not made visible. Overall the game was extremely promising but the harsh way new players get beaten away and the dev seems to ignore any suggestion to change this. What this will mean in the long run is that the huge majority of players will leave the game frustrated, while only a minority of early players with elite, - unbeatable to anyone but also elites - houses will remain. This is unhealthy for playersize and thus removes variety of houses to rob from. What a shame.

I decided to give this game a try just recently. I knew it was an old game and at first I was put off by some of the screenshots, they seemed aged obviously. But I gave it a shot and I have to say this is the best adventure game I have played. The graphics may have aged a bit (in a technical sense, polygon-count etc) but the aesthetics and the art are still amazing and gorgeous. The story and the voice acting is the games biggest strength and easily beats most modern titles out of the wind. The dialog is extremely well written and almost all the characters seem authentic. The ending could have been a bit more satisfying, it was rather weak compared to all the other stuff the game had to offer. Still, easily the best adventure game out there, even after 14 years.

It's a fun, refreshing experience. It's not much **** though, much more of an experience or some sort of art within itself. While I did enjoy the game very much I also do think most reviewers highly exaggerate. It's a fun 2-3 hour experience depending how curious you are. I myself played around 2½ and went every path, discovering 95% of what the game has to offer. I looked it up so that's why I know that I missed two easter eggs. Overall the narrator was great. the gameplay nonexistent, but the experience humorous and interesting. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind shorter experiences with no replay value. Once you have seen all the paths and endings there is no reason to ever play again as you discovered everything there is and then it just repeats itself. Good game, but nowhere near 'OMG best game eva, GOTY 2013!' as many silly fan boys make it out to be.

I just finished episode 4 and I am torn. While I absolutely loved episode 1+2 and though ep3 was somewhat good I have to say that episode 4 is by far the weakest part of the game. In the early Episodes you get a lot of freedom, you can roam around, discover stuff on your own, use your phone, PC and files to solve your own cases. The use of your special powers is fun but limited. Episode 4 on the other hand feels rather weak. There is no more real investigation (apart from 1 part), absolutely no freedom, you are on rails the entire time. There is literally 90% story and 10% gameplay in the last episode, to me it felt like cutscenes after cutscene with you making some clicks inbetween. There are also very awkward and illogical personal relationships revealed. Another change in the final episode is the addition of a trust-meter where you can either side with someone or against them. What I didn't like is the fact that the character, despite of my choices, tended to say the exact opposite of what I actually thought (in terms of who to support, who to blame etc). The ending was alright, it wasn't the most satisfying closure to a story I have ever experienced but I have seen worse. It is pretty cliché. There is also far too much focus on your powers as the story progresses, it get's repetitive and dull and isn't nearly as fun as the investigative style of the first episodes. Still a good game just not anywhere near as good as it started of. Beware of minor bugs, I ran into many clipping and animation bugs. Episode 2 was bugged as every action would have a several second delay between them. Ep3+4 seem to have less bugs.

I want to like this game more but the review mechanic (especially the Tech to Design ratio) is bad, inconsistent, not taught in the game and simply frustrating. Other than that the core is pretty enjoyable, it's nice to relive the history of consoles. It's a shame there is no real competition, no other studios, no awards, no celebrations and generally a feeling of lonelyness while playing since you are always only competing against yourself. Game Dev Story did this much better. Mainstory takes roughly 5 hours to complete unless go broke and need to restart. Personally I think there was a lot more potential, it's still a good game just not anywhere near where it could have been.

Not much of a "Game" but rather an interactive story. Could have been an interesting experience if the story wasn't so obvious, I knew the entire plot within the first 15 minutes of the game, and the ending was so stereotypical which left me closing the game in major disappointment after finishing it. Also with only 2 hours of gameplay and literally zero replayability it is quite a steep price.

Pretty cool game. I loved the scenery of Hong Kong, the city is beautiful. The story is pretty amazing as well, though the characters are not quite as unique as for example in GTA4. The focus on melee combat is fun and fits the games theme. I would not recommend it if you live in any country where the game is censored (eg Germany) because a lot of content is cut out and there are no DLC available in those areas. My first playthrough took me 16 hours and I still have to do a ton of sidequests, only got 33% of the achievements. Would definitely recommend this.

Absolutely terrible game. I liked the first game (different development team), and wanted to play the 2nd. But the game was so extremely frustratingly bad that I ragequit several times and literally had to force myself playing it to see the ending of the story. First, the engine is extremely terrible. The camera is unintuitive and obstructive, the movement and controls are extremely stiff, slow and annoying. I ran into at least 20 bugs where I would either be stuck in a position after looking at something, having to reload or sound cutting out randomly. Also the cursor which indicates interactable objects and people is often misplaced. The voiceacting is pretty bad and too few lines, always the same lines and the responses of Vici during unsuccessful interactions is nothing short of annoying. You spend 95% of the game in the same house which you have to search over and over and over again. Even if you searched every pixel of every room 10 times already you will have to do the same over again because after certain events there might be 1 new item spawning somewhere that is needed to proceed. The story is pretty lame and the game has extreme logical flaws. The puzzles are easy and only hindered by the terribad engine, see above. One of the worst Adventure games I have ever played, I had no fun playing this game, most was pure frustration and only played due to wanting to see the story proceed from Still Life 1. Don't waste your time.

I love the game. I played original DotA, HoN and tried Smite and LoL. For me Dota 2 is the best of the bunch. Entirely free, no pay2win aspect, everything in the game is unlocked, purchable are only cosmetics, no content or powerups. The balance is great due to 8+ years of tweaking by icefrog. Enormously high skill ceiling and an extremely hard game to get into. Some jerks here and there can ruin games for you, as is the case in most mobas. Overall a great successor. 9/10

It's such a shame that they wasted a lot of the potential on this title. First let me start with the positives. I liked the graphics and the atmospheric scenery. The voiceacting, especially on Nilin is nothing short of superb. I like the fact that you can customize your combos. The memory remixes are fun and a unique game mechanic. The soundtrack is great too. Now to the negative parts about the game. It is rather short, I finished the game within 9 hours. While the setting is beautiful the linear corridor levelsdesign leaves absolutely 0 room for exploration. The fights are predictable and monotone. The last third of the game feels artificially dragged out. You can not interact with any NPC within the game, not even a line of text. The climbing feels unnessecary and extremely dumbed down as orange arrows will constantly tell you where exactly to go. The game constantly interrupts the gameflow with tutorial like messages that can't be disabled and even on the hardest difficulty setting the game felt like a breeze. Most bossfights are simply blunt and tedious and boring. The most interesting part of the game the memory remixes are too few and too easy. There is only 1 solution in all of them, (eg when you need to kill someone), it would have been nice to have more interactive objects and several different solutions but the way they did it, it's only 1 single solution possible which leads them to be nothing else then trial and error. Overall this game had a lot of potential but the monotonous fighting system combined with the extreme linearity and the short usage of the games biggest innovative gameplay (memory remix) resulted in a barely average gaming experience. I would recommend giving this game a try at a sales price but can't recommend for full price unfortunately. It isn't a bad game, it's a mediocre experience with many up and downsides. At 50-75% off I would recommend the purchase for a decent experience.

The game is great. The music, the theme, the story, the dialog and the gameplay all are satisfying. Unfortunately the game is extremely short and will usually take you 2 hours, 3 hours if you replay some levels to get the best ratings. The editor is nice but misses a lot of features such as missing sound detector, custom connections (currently the game only allows linking to their nearest pair object i.e. camera alarm, panel door) which limits creative freedom by a huge margin. Also there is no inbuild system to rate or download custom maps. This could have been fixed by support steam workshop but as of now it is rather tedious and inconvenient to find user created content to fight off the extremely short gametime.

I played the free flash version about half a year ago and wasn't impressed but the way they have immensely upgrade the graphics, the gimmicks, the tools and the operational circumstances etc I have changed my mind. The controls take a lot of getting used to, and while it feels like QWOP Surgery in the beginning I actually managed to get used to the controls and do semi-accurate **** surgeries can get a lot of fun when changing locations. While a heart transplant in the hospital may seem simple it get's a whole lot more complicated when performing a double kidney transplant in a running ambulance, with fire extinguishers getting knocked around or even brain operations in space while trying to grab your floating tools. Overall I had a great deal of fun with the game but I can see when people don't get into it. Overall it's a nice fun gimmicky game with great humor. The content is yet limited for it's price so be aware.

it's an alright game. good for the first 2-3 hours but get's repetitive quickly, there isn't nearly enough to do. the lack of currency is weird because it would make perfect sense in a game like where you manage inbounds/outbounds and upgrade your stadium etc. the needs of the players get annoying after a while and the interface/emoticon icons are not easy to handle or read. it's a nice fresh idea for 1 or 2 hours in between but don't expect to play this for long periods of time as it will bore you quickly. the football matches themselves are OK, you can control some stuff and the AI isn't too terrible but the graphics and especially physics seem like they are from a game made 10 years ago. overall decent game for a casual session but don't expect more.

Huge disappointment. I was so looking to another DK spinoff, liked the graphic-style and thought I'd try it out. The game itself is one of the least fun experiences I have ever had. They literally managed to exclude completely everything that would be fun about a dungeon manager. There is no managment at all. You can not design your dungeon properly, as enemies will spawn randomly anyway, sizes and shapes of rooms are entirely predetermined. The dungeon always feels empty and dead. There is literally no AI, you'd think your minions and units would do stuff say eat, sleep, wander around, visit various rooms or anything like that: no. They are braindead standing waiting for you to port them onto enemies so you can watch them autoattack a bunch of units until they wait some more until you send them to a kitchen to feast. That's it. Oh there is an overworld map where you can gather resources. This has been done in the most boring event I could possible think off. You can't see where they are raiding, they just despawn and come back after 2 or so minutes and that's it. There is absolutely zero management in this game. The micromanagement in this game is dumb and tedious. The total lack of AI ruins it. The campaign is boring, long and tedious. Multiplayer and Coop is still in beta and doesn't function properly. I hade several bugs where I would get error messages having to alttab to cancel them. The UI and controls are simply annoying, everything has a delay. Unit responses aren't instant but rather take a second as well as even opening the wheely menu or scrolling with your mouse has a default delay. Why? Don't ask me. The game contains literally not a single aspect of what a dungeon manager should have, other than it's looks. It's not fun, it's tedious, it's unfinished and it's simply boring.

WarZ is a reskin of War Inc. made to ride on the coattails of Day Z, they are charging people to even play the game (something DayZ doesn't do) and hasn't updated much in the past few months. Admins are known to ban you for random in hopes to rebuy an account. The game has absolutely no anticheat device, there are hackers on every server. Barely could I play even just 1 hour without meeting a noclipper, aimbotter, or speedhacker. even on ultra settings the graphics are absolutely hideous. it has one of the worst texture quality and texture popping I have ever seen. the game itself plays extremely choppy and chunky. animations are horrendous, Zombies often bug out and spin in circles. Items you buy with real money will be lost if you die. half of the advertised features on the steam store page are not even implemented. it basically looks and plays like an alpha. it is clearly unfinished but they actually charge their alphatesters money.

This game is extremely fun. I am not an "oldschool gamer" per se. So I wasn't really aware of dungeon crawlers. But this game was just great. The tiles-based system and thus the unique combat system felt awkward at first but I got used to it fast. The story was good, I loved reading the notes and hints that prisoners before me left me. There are many secrets and puzzles. Most puzzles felt really rewarding to solve, others had me totally confused (especially some of the teleportpuzzles) but overall they were great. Playtime was 19 hours for me on my first playthrough while consulting a walkthrough 2 or 3 times. Replayability seems to be strong, i can't wait to start a new game and find all the missed treasures and secrets and try a totally different groupcombo with different skillsets and weapons. On the downsite, I didn't like the last level very much, it felt hectic and unnecessary. the bossfight felt unsatisfying and annoying with many monsters constantly blocking you. Overall it is a great title for an amazing price. 8/10
