[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]

I love the books and the first half of the first season - but this has become surprisingly boring by the third episode of season two. Long romantic scenes in which there is no real tension, no subtext, no mystery slow down the bits that are interesting, where real danger lurks (like the secret group that has added info to the laptop)...I never feel scared or moved - the romance almost feels like a Hallmark movie and repeating the theatre's public murder scenes again and again just feels like it's stretching to fill the full episode order.

This isn't directed by JJ abrams but has all the hallmarks of his influence: random spectacle that makes no sense but just adds wow. Editing often makes no sense, tossing context out the window and worst of all: WALL TO WALL MUSIC, the sure sign of creatives who lack confidence in their storytelling. I wanted to like this and while I stuck in for a bit, I ultimately realized I didn't care at all for a single character and that is the sad reason I've decided to stop watching.

I don't need to write much more than what badgamer86 had to say. I don't understand the love for this show. I want to like it. But the execution, the flat footed directing, the over obvious script and the one note acting make it impossible for me.

Only makes me realize how brilliant Woody Allen and Louie are. They make complaining insightful and funny. This show just thinks it's bitter rants are funny, and they aren't. Plus the acting seems phony and the timing off. YUK.
