This is a superb TV series that is a hard scifi and alternative history built-in. While it starts slow in first season, it reaches excellent levels starting in season 2. It is a must watch show. Season 4 finale is magnum opus. Hard scifi space opera at its best.

So far there are only 3 episodes however it doesnt look good. I think the major issues with the series are it is not as Epic as GoT. There is no suspense, there is no real villain, there is only one point of view, what happened to multiple view points and characters. It runs like a court theater drama, with story focused on king and his immediate family. It is unbelievably scaled down watered down version of GoT. It is clearly done with much smaller budget. I dont think we will see the 2nd season. GRR Martin is a lazy guy, who didnt finish GoT, naturally he has no time to write a proper novel for this timeline, let alone a script to base it on a novel. On top of this, none of the characters are likable or interesting so far. HBO has to understand they cannot recrate GoT with a documentary mini series style tv series, this thing is closer to British Royal theater than it is related to GoT. unfortunately so far it is a hard pass. Lost cause really as we all know how this story ends

Approximately 1500 more negative votes and excess votes indicates that show is getting heavy review bombing and artificially inflated. Given that two shows are equally popular. i think house of dragon is a an unfortunate failure as a fantasy show, slowly derailing towards royal family soap opera drama. 4th episode was a disgrace as nothing but a soft por n, so low this show got now. i have lost hope really dropping score

This is a fantastic show. Incredibly detailed world building with multiple interesting characters view points, full of action, suspense, wonder. It is truly a masterpiece. Actor playing Silvan Elf is incredibly talented. Kudos to him. There are so many cool characters here. This is truly Game Of Thrones reborn, even better. Thank you thank you Amazon Prime. And on that sad note large number of review bombing happening here is because diversity casting in the show. It is unbelievable at this age people could be so racist. And all others complaining material is not true to source, that is another BS. Tolkien estate did NOT sell the Silmarillion because they asked prohibitively high amount that no one can pay. So showrunners are doing their best here with what is available to them. they are doing a darn good job on that too.

This is a fantastic show. Incredibly detailed world building with multiple interesting characters view points, full of action, suspense, wonder. It is truly a masterpiece. Please ignore all of the downvoters simply because they dislike the minority representation. If they can pass over that they can see what a true masterpiece this. This is a fantastic TV show that gives us a hard science fiction. Something to enjoy in this age of super heros, never ending actions and zero brain corrupted sci fi scene. I read the entire foundation series and to this day it is one of my favorite science fiction books. It is so much different than star wars in a sense it is more serious, more thoughtful. Production quality of the show is amazing. Acting is great. It is great to visualize all those familiar places from the book series. Foundation is a fictional history takes place over a 1000 year, obviously a TV show needs to be loosely based to develop characters. What is important is it needs to convey the spirit of the original books. And this one does it. Excellent take with cloned emperors. Do not miss
