This game is just awful. Honestly do not bother. Even if you are trying to collection every GameCube game, consider leaving this out of your collection, unless someone literally pays you to take it off of their hands. It’s by far one of the worst games I have ever played.
This game is boring as hell, I cannot figure out to the life of me why anyone has rated it highly, I think sometimes people just rate Star Wars things highly purely because they like Star Wars in general. Do yourself a favour and play something else, anything else.
It always amazes me how sequels on much better hardware are no where near as much fun as older games in the franchise.. maybe too much focus on graphics and not enough on gameplay and balls-out fun.
This collection is good, no doubt about it. But I’m not sure anyone really wants to play all of these games, especially the earliest Zelda’s. So that leaves you with just two playable games. And to be honest Ocarina is the only one of the two you need to play because the Majora doesn’t offer you anything more, Ocarina is the best.. so no point in buying this, just buy a quality copy of Ocarina.
Graphically this is an absolute masterpiece, I mean it still looks unbelievable in 2024. The gameplay is lacking however. I find these fighting games dull and repetitive. Yes there is a story mode, but it still just the same old fights. There are so many moves but you end up just repeating the ones that work, again and again. Not for me.
It might have been rubbish twenty years ago, but playing it in 2024, rubbish is no longer a strong enough word. I would not pay a penny for this. In fact I wouldn’t play it again if you paid me.
What complete and utter garbage. There is no fun to be found here AT ALL. Is this where we are heading, 99% effort in graphics, 0.9% on how to squeeze money out of people and the rest on the actual game. Do yourself a favour, get a PS1, get a copy of the original GT and go have some fun.
This game is amazing, it truly is, if you haven’t played it then you truly need to, it is a unique gaming experience like no other. The ideas here are engrossing, the level designs are remarkable works of art. Not only that this game is loads of fun. The sound track is excellent. This game is so atmospheric, you can truly lose yourself in another universe, one that you have never experienced before and will never experience again. The game flows beautifully, there are no real sticking points. I’m really glad to have a flawless copy of this on the GameCube too as it is getting more and more expensive to buy as the years tick by. Highly recommended, a unique experience like no other, a truly engrossing atmosphere, stunning soundtrack and graphics… lots of blood! The best thing about this game is switching between the difference characters, all with their own skills, abilities and weapon set Love it, I will be playing it again and again.
Great game. If you liked the first one you’d love this one two. It can be frustrating though, some of the levels are really difficult and doing the same thing over and over in 60 second goes can be boring.
Original, fun and addictive. This is a near perfect game. The difficulty does get ridiculous in a couple of spots and the realism is lacking in certain parts. The sound track is outstanding. A very solid ten out of ten.
This game is great. This is what video game should be fun, fun, fun!! To me this is better than any of the Tony Hawk's games because it has everything those games have and more. The graphics still hold up to this day. The game play is fantastic, there are endless moves and combos. The levels designs are 10 out of 10. There are so many interesting challenges and fun characters along the way. If you want to have fun playing video games, it does not come much better than this, endless reply value. The only minor criticism is that it will be nigh on impossible to achieve one hundred per cent without some sort of guide, or infinite time on your hands.
Possibly the best game ever made, but lord can it be difficult. If you’re a casual gamer, do not bother. If you’re a hardcore gamer looking for originality and a challenge, it does not get better than this. I have to give this a mixed review for me personally though because the difficultly subtracts far too much from the fun. The fact that there are grading systems means the difficulty did not have to be so insane to begin with.
Boring as hell. Lots of backtracking, repetitive as hell, destroy the enemies, return to the same room later and just do it again and again. It’s boring. Some of the boss fights are slug fests also. Dull.
Honestly, no. This game is just a bit of a mess, in all honesty. A sonic game should be about super fast sonic gameplay. Instead, the game is punctuated by boring levels that involve trying to find hidden secrets, that more closely resembles Tomb Raider than Sonic. Likewise, silly shoot ‘em levels that mainly involve just spamming the fire button. If you want to play Tomb Raider, then play Tomb Raider, not this. Likewise, if you want to play a Sonic game then play a Sonic game, not this.
This game is absolutely great fun. The problem is you’ll end up completing it in a day, so is it really worth the time or money. I would say no. Now, it would be worth getting if you intend to play it as a party/multiplayer game. But then why not just buy one of the newer Mario Kart games!
Overall this is a pretty fun game. It is however a little repetitive. Also, the game is very short, you should be able to complete it in ten hours and I do not think there is really any replay value here, so from that point of view it could be consider expensive. Lovely little fun game though and I would recommend playing it. Also, get yourself a copy of GameCube for your library and hold on to it because this one is always going for quite a price!
It’s fun, really a multiplayer game though. Once you find a character that you nail a few moves with it can become a bit competitive. It would have been better if there was a story mode for single player.
The game is very repetitive. The camera is not great, it can frequently get lost behind objects. The worst part is being kicked out of levels and having to travel all the way back to them, not just start the level again, when you lose a life. There are also some parts of the game that are far to difficult to be any fun. I will not be recommending it, nor ever playing it again.
