Who did they make this for? The fans of the books will hate this. People new to the story will just be confused as they are just thrown into this world without explanation. Character development is HORRIBLE. This is not an adaptation of the book, this is completely different. More like inspired by the book. I'm not opposed to changes when adapting books into movies, but this is just awful. They removed the essence of the story. Can't believe the author agreed to the changes. I feel bad for the young actors. They might be the only thing I liked about this.
