Dead Island: Riptide3
Jun 23, 2013
I am just disappointed with this one. The reason I give this game such a low score is because it is the SAME EXACT THING AS THE FIRST. Almost nothing changes with this game, Its almost even the same plot, the first games plot: stuck on an island, trying to get off. Second games plot: stuck on an island, trying to get off. There is nothing new with the combat either except for different variety in weapon upgrades. All they added was a new character and this rage mode where your attacks are stronger and faster. Also the game just feels depressing overall with some gloomy music in the background, and you know how long games are good, playing this made me wish it was over with, and it went on for such a long time that it annoyed the out of me. I just don't like this game, way too similar to the first game, should of been some kind of expensive DLC.

The Last of Us9
Jun 23, 2013
This game is purely outstanding and has one of the most realistic game playing feelings compared to other survival games. Amazing graphics, gameplay mechanics, voice acting and really has a similar Uncharted feel to it. I like how you can explore almost anywhere you please for items or ammo or collectibles and etc. Ellie is a cool partner to have along the way, but honestly she isn't as helpful as you would think in close combat situations, you are pretty much doing all the work, but hey thats what games are for right, it would be boring just to see your partner do everything. Plus there is the occasional glitch with surroundings and enemies every once in a while, for example I was sneaking up on an enemy aware of my presence, and when I got really close to him, he disappeared and was far behind me, I suggest the game might need an update. Ignore all of that, and you have an amazing story followed but many intense moments and an almost realistic looking plot line to follow it, The multiplayer is really creative, I think in opinion it has a Mass Effect feel with all the factions to go around it. Great game, highly recommended.

The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series10
May 19, 2013
Outstanding, just pure, outstanding. In The Walking Dead, you play as Lee Everett, a man who later meets a young girl named Clementine, and the two of you, along with many other background characters try to survive the zombie apocalypse as supplies are scarce and zombies aren't the only thing to fear. At first I thought, "its just a game about a TV show, how good can it possibly be?" I took those words back right after the first episode! it's intense, it's immersive, its a game you sou;don't want to miss out on, with its jump scares, its intense moments and surprises along the way, and not to mention you basically chose what happens next, you don't just watch a cutscene, you control it, you live it, you….experience it. Theres was almost nothing wrong with this game, except for one glitch I experienced, and occasional lag but that is nothing that will make you hate the game. You do not have to watch the TV show before playing this game, which makes it good for almost any person looking to play this game. Each episode is even more intense than the other, It will surprise, it will make you cry, make you happy, excited, shocked, THIS GAME IS ONE GIANT EMOTIONAL FEEL! thats what I look for in a game, immersion that is memorable. I want to remember a game that blesses my childhood, a game that changes the way I think and the way I handle situations, and this is it (Oh god I'm going overexcited aren't I?). Either way, this game will change you, you will definitely not be sorry for buying it. I give this game a full on 10/10. Buy this game if you haven't already. Just do it. Go on. Go. Buy It. Now.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Uprising7
May 19, 2013
I don't really care much for the multiplayer maps, one of them is just a simple remake of a map from Black Ops 1, I am mostly impressed with the zombies map, Mob of the Dead, it is excellent! The design is awesome, the zombies are cooler looking, Easter Eggs are hidden everywhere, and also it is something you can finish, not just a survival map, but something with an actual goal to achieve. I am still having a ton of fun with my friends playing this map, we all love it the same. As for the multiplayer maps, well, not to impressed honestly, they are almost like any other map, but with a design to fit the theme. Trust me on zombies though, it is worth it.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Blade Wolf5
May 16, 2013
honestly, this was a pretty decent DLC. I mean yeah the same problems do exist, with it being too short and stuff but I'll get into that later. In this DLC, you play as Blade Wolf and it takes place in the events before he faced off with Raiden. thats all you need to know plot wise. What I liked in this DLC is how they made him playable, which I never expected would happen, Throwing heat knives was cool too, and the boss battle wasn't recycled, it was new, and it was awesome, and it proposed a challenge as well, I died three times trying to beat him. Also there is more character development with Blade Wolf but more importantly Mistral, because in the original game, I felt she didn't have enough of that. What I disliked is pretty much the obvious though. The Gameplay is really short, I mean, REALLY short, and doesn't feel like it was worth $7. Blade mode was kind of hard to control considering there was this huge ass angle you had to deal with, Half the content is literally training VR's and it feels like a lazy thing to do when trying to fill in the allotted time slot. this overall feels kind of lazy basically giving Blade Wolf the same mechanics as Raiden, but with slower attacks and heat knives I know it may sound bad, but I really can't put my finger on if this was worth spending my money or not, but you know what, I say try it out, se what you think, though you may be disappointed is what I am trying to get at. Platinum Games if you ever see this, please step up your game on DLC because now I am wondering if it will be worth it getting the next DLC if there is one. Overall: Its decent, but not enough to gain full satisfaction

BattleBlock Theater9
Apr 30, 2013
I think this is my favorite XBLA game next to Castle Crashers. From its unique humor to its rising difficulty with progression, BattleBlock Theater is a game worth buying, and even more fun with your friends. You collect a bunch a gems within the levels of a abandoned looking theater run but villainous cats and are forced to be their performance puppet. Never that collecting items would ever be so fun and to top it all off, the games voiceover artist and narrator is Stamper himself, thats right, STAMPER! from Newgrounds and Youtube. Multiplayer also has some fun games to play is really an enjoyment. This is an amazing game and It is definitely worth your Microsoft points, I promise you. Once again, If you loved Castle Crashers, you're gonna love this game either more or just as much. 1 point off because the combat system as a small delay which is annoying at most times, but I got over it.

BioShock Infinite10
Apr 15, 2013
Possibly the game of the year if you ask me. This is just so much fun and it is an amazing adventure. Elizabeth is the most helpful partner I have ever seen in a video game in a while, she gets you money, ammo, health, salts and never gets in your way, she doesn't die either so you won't get pissed off at the game more. The air rail transportation is so cool and its really fun ti travel so fast in the air. The plot is so awesome and the ending is so good, it will definitely keep you thinking for a day or tow. BioShock Infinite was a good turn on the series because usually these type of spinoffs never really work out, but this one did so well.

Dead Space 3: Awakened4
Apr 14, 2013
As much as I want to like this, I really can't. Dead Space 3 Awakened is, first and most importantly, way too short and not with the money. I spent $10 for 1 hour and 10 minutes of gameplay and it doesn't really feel like it was worth it. There was more cryptic parts of Issac's images but they were just The Moon you destroyed. I like the whole "cultist leader" idea, that was pretty cool. They give you some circuit upgrades so thats also cool. The thing that shakes me the most is the ending. nothing is really explained in the ending and it just feels mixed and odd and it all feels like a scam to make you buy the possible sequel to the series. I love Dead Space to tears, but this is just something I cannot handle. It really isn't worth buying

Mar 21, 2013
I honestly think people are taking the whole new Dante design think way too seriously, Attacks have an amazing amount of variety and combos are fun and the enemies aren't half bad as well. Although i can definitely see why fans of the series would get pissed off, Im not rally a hardcore DMC fan either way so it doesn't really affect me as much. stories pretty cool but there isn't as much character development as hoped for except for in Dante and his brother. I liked it, it was fun and it was action packed

God of War: Ascension7
Mar 17, 2013
This is my first God of War game and I gotta say it is really good. scenery and combat is outstanding as well as its other abilities and secondary weapons and combos. My complaints for this game are about the camera angle being too far for most of the game causing me to have a hard time seeing things and battling enemies. Plus there is a crap ton of mini bosses you see in the game, almost too much, but thats not necessarily bad. I like it and I think it was a good game for me to play for a change

Super Mario Galaxy 29

This was a lot better and long lasting than the first and the galaxies are beautiful and well crafted as well as a majestic soundtrack. The storyline feels really repetitive of the first game but I easily ignored that and continued playing the game. its just that good

Dishonored10
Mar 7, 2013
Never have I seen a game in my entire gaming life that is as lively and interactive as Dishonored. The storyline is so intense it had me screaming at the screen and it actually persisted as a major challenge for me, something that games hardly ever do to me. If you are a really good story gamer like me, you would be able to just rush right through and beat it in almost no time, but this actually required some thinking and planning to get through this game. I rarely see games where there is such a good balance between stealth and action, and the scale stays prefect on this game. Arkane has definitely undone themselves, if only they would make a sequel to this game, that would make my day!

Dead Space 38
Mar 7, 2013
This game is awesome, many new ideas were introduced and added and the game was longer than the other games in the series. It was a fun and awesome experience playing as Isaac Clarke once again. The thing that most people can pretty much agree on is that the game didn't have much if what everyone else wanted to see, the scary and horror parts of the game, there really wasn't much due to the fact that the game was more biased on story more than horror, but I am open to new ideas and won't crucify them due to it, it was a cool thing to do. I wont say more for spoiler sake but I highly recommend getting this game.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time9
Mar 7, 2013
I love the series and this was an excellent addition to it as well, it was fun and full of surprises. The only thing that I didn't like is that the loading screens taking up to 30 seconds between missions making the game less tolerable. Other than that I love the game

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 32
Mar 5, 2013
I've only played like 4 Call of Duty games and this one is just far by the worst one. All the campaign levels and multiplayer maps have the same blend of color and background usage of either sand, snow or swamp, a unoriginal feeling. The story wasn't as exciting and really felt boring after the first two levels of the game, which were pretty much the only good ones. Spec ops is really nothing special compared to the storyline, just extra missions to make you have different perspectives on the game. I had fun playing online with my friends and all but something about this game doesn't feel right compared to all the others.

this game is just so fun to play, this is the game that makes my childhood feel blessed. Amazing music, cool combat system, and an unforgettable adventure through outstanding environments and levels, I constantly find myself replaying this game over and over again. Its a shame I don't really see it get the credit that it deserves, because THQ did a great job with this game.
