Halo Infinite10

Campaign: The story is lacking compared to the original trilogy though there are a few good moments that flesh out Chief's character in an interesting way. The fact that there aren't really levels anymore makes everything feel disjointed compared to the tightly designed experiences we are used to from most Halo games. The ring looks bland and there is no biome diversity. With that said, the gameplay is addictively good! The grapplehook was a surprisingly great addition!
Multiplayer: I have played around 500 hours and am still loving it!

Pokemon Legends: Z-A1
Jan 4, 2026
This was my first Pokémon game. It gives you hardly any freedom, though it gives the illusion of freedom. Combat is simple, in the worst way. And the loop of battling, catching and evolving Pokémon got old about 5 miles in. Also the **** is there this much talking!!!

Final Fantasy VII Remake8
Jan 4, 2026
My only complaint would be that the game feels very unbalanced on Normal difficulty (which is the hardest it can be). It was extremely difficult in the beginning, and then got incredibly easy by the end when I had upgraded my team more. Otherwise great game!

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion9

This was my first FF game and it sold me on the rest of the series. Though the combat is rather repetitive and the movement extremely stiff, the story and protagonist make it definitely worth a playthrough.

I was many years late to the party playing this game for the first time, but I feel like this game will be relevant for many years to come. It looks gorgeous, has incredible gameplay and a storyline that might honestly be the best in all of gaming.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic4
Jun 2, 2024
I’ve tried playing this game 3 times now on three different platforms and I just can’t do it. I’m a big Star Wars fan and that’s not even enough to keep me interested. It’s so slow and uninteresting I have no idea why people took the time to beat it, even back in the day. The combat is so simple and tedious even for an RPG. The characters are flat and typical. The choice system is all right but not as good as a Lot of other games. The only reason to play this game in 2024 is if you’re replaying it. But there is no reason to get into it now when games like Jedi: Survivor exist.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps9
Jun 2, 2024
This might be one of the best metroidvanias ever made. The combat is fast paced and switching between weapons and abilities on the fly is made easy by the quick menus. Exploration is super fun and rewarding and unlike other games in the genre, it’s hard to get lost. Also this game looks amazing and the art style is Breathtaking! I wouldn’t recommend this game to kids though. The story is rather sad and the ending could be rather upsetting to young minds.

XIII (Remake)6
Jun 2, 2024
XIII is a good single player FPS with a decent enough story. The framerate is all over the place and there are some glitches that make gameplay frustrating at times. All in all, it’s a game worth buying if it’s on sale. You could spend $5.99 on worse games.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land8
Apr 17, 2024
This is a poor transition to 3D. The landscape of the new world looks more Realistic than the series's previous titles, but that just makes the enemies and characters look more cartoonish and misplaced. The controls are far worse and in this game he moves at a snails pace! The side time challenges are fun and are sometimes the best part of the game. But the boss battles are repetitive and they put a wall around you every time you encounter one so you have no choice but to fight it if you want to move on. The music is great though and the fishing mini game is awesome! But overall, Sega should just keep Sonic in the second dimension and never repeat what they’ve done with Frontiers…Wait this review is for Kirby and the Forgotten Land? Oh...That game is awesome!

Starlink: Battle for Atlas8
Feb 19, 2024
the fact that you can battle on the ground and launch into the sky at any moment is amazing! And the seamless way you enter a planet from space should put games like Starfield to shame. The combat is addictively fun, but does get repetitive over time. I have no idea what the story was supposed to be and it felt all over the place, but the characters were funny so I didn’t really care. There weren’t very many enemy types and that was disappointing. If you’re looking for a high intensity aerial combat game, I can’t think of any game better than Starlink on Switch… Also Star Fox is on the switch version, so ONLY play the Switch version!

Road 96: Mile 08
Feb 15, 2024
As a prequel, Road 96: Mile 0 is as good as it gets. It elaborates on certain characters and events that shape Road 96 into the amazing game it is. The story is great and the characters are incredible…But the rhythm style gameplay doesn’t compare to the gameplay of the original game and the entire game clocks in an underwhelming 2 hours at most.

Starfield5
Jan 22, 2024
This was my first Bethesda game and um…I’m not entirely impressed. The vastness of the game can’t be denied but there’s little to do. The combat is mediocre and the flying mechanics are reminiscent of an old indie game, and I don’t mean that in a positive way. It’s fun for the first 10 hours but I really didn’t care anymore after that.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD8
Jan 22, 2024
The play style of using your joycon as a sword and swinging it to slay your enemies and solve puzzles is just so charming. This HD remake is so reminiscent of the Wii era I can’t help but feel 10 again when I play it, and that’s enough for me to recommend it.

Road 96 is thought provoking and executes character development so well you’ll find it hard to put down. My only complaint is that I personally got tired of the gameplay mechanics after the first couple hours, but the music was so amazing I didn’t even care!

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom7
Jan 22, 2024
There were moments in this game where it was 10/10! Then there are moments where it’s 4/10. TOTK is almost the definition of a mixed bag in the gameplay and enjoyment categories. But when you consider the painting-like visuals, the phenomenal music score, and just the grandness of it all, it’s hard not to call this game a masterpiece…Except the story. It’s one of the worst stories ever told in a Zelda game.

Metroid Prime Remastered7
Jan 22, 2024
Sometimes you get so lost and unsure of what you’re supposed to do next that not even a guide can get you back on track. But the Remastered HD graphics, uniquely designed areas and enemies, and thrilling combat make the frustrating backtracking all worth it in the end; that is, if you can also overlook the outrageous price tag.
