Best DW game yet. Excellent new fighting system. Addicting gameplay. Good graphics. Excellent music soundtrack. Clean UI. Beautiful overworld map. Great voice acting. I just wish the protagonist had deeper customization options. DW Origins is a much needed breath of fresh air for the series. The devs took a new innovative approach which was a success. Highly recommend to long term fans and newcomers of the series. Job well done Koei!
Braindead AI. When you delegate your divisions, the AI just sits there and barely attacks anyone. Even if you are next to a weaker force. Glorified mouse clicking simulator. If this is the standard for Koei RTS remakes then I will never buy one again!
Awesome fighter game. Excellent music soundtrack. Decent graphics. Smooth gameplay. Deep customization options. SP is decent. MP is still active. Runs smooth on the PS5. Looking forward to Soulcalibur 7.
Cod as a series feels dead. I never thought the series that gave us the hit classic MW2 (2009) could sink this low. This game is no longer made for casual gamers or long-term fans of the series. The target audience now seems to be sweatlords and everyone else. The vast majority of the operator skins are ugly or just plain silly. Customization options are lacking. SBMM is horrible. All of the original devs must be gone. It would be hard to believe that any of them would be okay with how pathetic Cod as a series has become.
Mediocre. Been there done that story. Dated gameplay and immersion breaking mechanics. Unintuitive UI. Nightmare inventory management. Too many load screens. What is this 2005? Disappointing game.
Amazing strategy game. Decent graphics. Nice music soundtrack. Amazing officer artwork. Ui is good but could be more streamlined. Overall, a very solid title in the series with great replay value.
A new low for the series. There is now a dlc skin that uses profanity towards you if they eliminate your player. Who at Activision thought this was a cool or good idea? Sad.
A step back from COH2. Unbalanced mp matches. Blobs have no counters and are out of control. Unit caps are needed badly. Okay sound effects but can be improved. Awful UI. Customization options are horrible. Lack of maps and military doctrines. COH3 seems on course to go down in flames like DOW3. The devs seem like they could care less.
Most streamlined title in the series yet. Nice graphics. Amazing music soundtrack. Nice officer artwork. Accessible UI. Screen resolution resets each time you launch the game. NA SOI is a love letter to the fans.
Masterpiece! Death Stranding is a technological marvel! Graphics and music soundtrack are excellent! DS runs very smooth on the PS5. The post apocalypse sci-fi atmosphere is amazing. The protagonist Sam Porter Bridges played by Norman Reedus is phenomenal! Great supporting cast of characters as well. Excellent voice acting! Navigating the open world, doing deliveries, and inventory management feels so fun and addicting. Hideo Kojima is a brilliant video game designer! DS is beautiful artwork and a love letter to his fans.
A decent remake. Graphics are nice. Music soundtrack is excellent. Artwork is amazing. UI is decent. Gameplay is modernized and accessible. Camera moves too fast in some scenarios. Missing charm of original titles. Decent replay value. Langrisser I & II remake is a love letter to fans of the series.
Decent title in the series. Okay graphics. Needs better resolution support. Nice music soundtrack. Nice officer artwork. Clean UI. Gameplay is accessible. The game runs smooth on my PC. Would be nice if the West ever gets the Power Up Kit.
ROTK 14 is the best title in the series I have played. Graphics are nice. Officer artwork is amazing. The music soundtrack is excellent. Gameplay is streamlined and accessible. Clean UI. The game runs smooth on my PC. Thank you Koei for another solid entry in the series. Well done!
'Jack of all trades, master of nothing'. None of the sport styles feel exceptional. Controls are horrible. The music soundtrack is forgettable. Graphics are not impressive. The character models look like they were created back in 2005. The mandatory tutorial is mind numbingly boring. The introductory characters are cringe, annoying, and fit every cliche trope you can think of. After one of the intro characters referred to another NPC as a 'Tripple OG' I almost quit right there. During an intro tutorial you are told to 'just puke if you have to' to make it to the finish line. Like Seriously! Talk about promoting unhealthy habits and self harm. If you can push through the tutorial the controls will be your main obstacle as you take to the courses. Riding the bike feels like you're sliding on ice. Gameplay leaves little room for error. One minor mistake and you're sent flying off a cliff or face first into a mountain. Overall, a lackluster turd ****.
Best sniper game yet. Nice graphics. Excellent music soundtrack and sound effects. Nice haptic feedback on the trigger. Clean UI. Runs smooth on the PS5. I've seen the devs grow and get better over the years. I definitely recommend especially on a sale.
Excellent single player campaign. Gunplay is amazing. Graphics and music soundtrack are great. Multiplayer is fun and addicting. MP maps are awesome including Nuketown! Customization options and the progression system are excellent. I love the new 'everyone gets a trophy' scorestreak system. Blops Cold War is a great and entertaining entry in the series.
If you are looking for a 'spiritual successor' to L4D forget it. The characters are cliche and forgettable. Gunplay is okay. No split screen couch co-op. The card system needs to be streamlined or removed. Customization options feel phoned in. Zombies spawn endlessly and feels broken. I had higher expectations for this game. B4B fails to capture any of the magic from the L4D series. What a lackluster soulless game. I recommend the superior L4D2 instead.
Wow the terminator game I always wanted! Excellent atmosphere and storytelling. Amazing music soundtrack and sound effects. The UI is decent. Perfect blend of first person shooter and RPG mechanics. Excellent voice acting. The game runs smooth on my PC. Definitely the best single payer experience game I have played this year. The devs stayed true to the lore. You can tell they love what they do. This game is a love letter to Terminator fans. Well done! I highly recommend Terminator Resistance.
Awesome game! Great environment and art style. Excellent music soundtrack. Smooth gameplay. Really good story plot that does not overstay its welcome. Colt is an awesome protagonist bursting with personality. I loved the banter between him and the antagonist Julianna. Customization options are decent. The UI is good. Multiplayer is fun. I did experience some bugs that popped up in the inventory screen almost freezing the game. One mission in particular has a poor layout. It allows you to trigger an optional event but gives you no clear way to escape unless you die. Deathloop is the first Arkane game that I have ever finished so that says a lot. I tried getting into Dishonored but always got bored by the halfway point. I just could not get into Corvo or the plot. Deathloop was an entirely different story. From the beginning I was invested in Colt and helping him break the loop. One of the best AAA games I have played in a while and is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend especially if you can pick it up on sale. Great job Arkane!
What an overrated game. The graphics look nice and ooooh shiny at times but are not consistent. The music soundtrack is forgettable. The character models look dated. The protagonist Artyom is silent the entire game. It does not help that it feels like he has the dexterity of a 2 year old. If you fall off a ledge a few feet he dies. I mean come on. The controls feel clunky, dated, and unintuitive. I constantly feel like my character is walking through mud. Running feels awkward and is assigned as a toggle function. What is this 1995? You constantly have to wipe your mask. Fun eh? The story is predictable. Oh there is a lot of talking in this game. The dialogue is excessive and downright annoying. This game does not look impressive on the PS5. The open world seems too big. Overall, Metro Exodus is one lackluster turd ****. There are just too many other FPS games that do everything better.
Reviewed on PS5. The graphics are okay. The music soundtrack is decent. The story is good. The protagonist is bland. The rest of your team fall into cliche character tropes. The antagonist is predictable. Several other villains are outright hilarious and I can't take them seriously. The combat is smooth and fluid. The UI is okay. The game froze a couple of times. There are difficulty spikes which will force you to grind to overcome them. The role system is addicting. I had my most fun with this game unlocking and experimenting with new roles. This was the first Star Ocean game that I finished. While it can be rough around the edges, the story plot and role system kept me engaged to end. I did find it disappointing that you are on one planet the entire game. I hope Star Ocean 6 has more planets to visit and that the role system returns. Overall, a decent JRPG.
Reviewed on the PS5. Modernized smooth gameplay. Graphics are decent. Excellent music soundtrack. Great feedback when you destroy enemy units. UI is a bit cluttered while playing. Unlimited continues which helps make the game accessible to all audiences. Just an all around fun and great shoot em up. I can replay this game over and over because the gameplay is so addicting. Raiden V Director's Cut is a love letter to the fans. I highly recommend it.
Cross Rays is a solid tactical RPG. The graphics are decent and the soundtrack is excellent. The UI could use more streamlining. Customization options are excellent and the unlocking of new mobile suits and pilots is addicting. Cross Rays stays true to the source material. However, I find it odd that the Universal Century (UC) timeline was not included and that there is no 1440P resolution option. Also, the game randomly crashes sometimes when performing an action or right after watching an animation. Some of the missions are too long lasting up to an hour. Overall, Cross Rays is a fun and addicting tactical RPG and a love letter to Gundam fans! Thank you Bandai Namco for bringing Cross Rays to the West!
Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is a very solid entry in the series. The character models and music soundtrack are excellent. The fighting is fluid and gameplay addictive. The UI is clean. Some textures look bad. There are FPS drops in battle and I expected faster load times on the PS5. The customization options are nice. The edit mode is decent. I love the idea that Empires is a blank canvas that gives me the freedom to enjoy DW the way I want to. I can start out as a ruler over a kingdom or a no name vagabond and go from 'rags to riches'. Overall, DW9 Empires is the best title in the spinoff series yet. The addicting gameplay loop allows me to overlook some of the flaws in DW9E. The replay value is amazing and I look forward to sinking hundreds of hours into this game. DW9 Empires is a love letter to the fans. Thank you Koei for releasing DW9 Empires to the West!
Well here we go folks. Review while playing on PS5. The gunplay is solid and the story is really good. The graphics are spotty. The music soundtrack is okay. The load times and amount of load screens on the PS5 are unacceptable! The game is buggy and there are FPS drops. Driving a car feels like you are sliding on ice! The open world is bland and boring. The UI is unintuitive and just one big cluster. Your character model in the inventory screen looks like it was created in 1995. The customization options are horrible. The side missions and 'gigs' are repetitive and mind numbing. Cyberpunk 2077 had the potential to be an awesome action RPG but somewhere in development it was lost. It is clear that this game is unfinished. What a AAA flop that rode in on the hype train! What we have here folks is one shiny chocolate dipped turd ****! I definitely do not recommend Cyberpunk in the current state it is in.
The new cel-shaded graphics and music soundtrack are excellent. The new story mode is good. I like the series 'reboot' and focus on Oda Nobunaga. The UI is streamlined. The new combat system feels smooth and fluid. The generic officer portraits are nice. The new experiment Citadel mode is too grindy for my liking and feels phoned in and totally unnecessary. There are character clones. No English dub. The loading times are slow on the PS5. Why? SW5 is a solid entry in the series. However, after completing the story mode I found no replay in this game. At this point I am looking forward to SW5 Empires. Hopefully it arrives soon!
Wow Astro's Playroom is a amazing showcase of the DualSense controller and capabilities that the PS5 has! I totally did not expect to love this game so much. The graphics, music soundtrack, and haptic feedback are all amazing. I would go so far as to say that Astro's Playroom is the best casual platformer that I have ever played and proves Sony can do it better than anybody else on the market! Astro's Playroom is a love letter from Sony to it's fans. Thank you Sony for this fun and amazing game!
ROTK 13 a excellent RTS and entry in the series. The gameplay and UI is streamlined. The music soundtrack is excellent. The officer portraits are amazing. The English voice acting is very good. The replay value is excellent. Thank you Koei for releasing ROTK 13 in the West!
Dark Souls 3 feels like a step back for the series after playing DS2. I do not like the faster combat and gameplay. It feels too much like Bloodborne. Everything just moves too damn fast to my liking. The co-op is okay. It feels really difficult to find embers in DS3 which allows you to summon other players. The atmosphere is okay and the voice acting is decent. The character customization feels like an afterthought. Overall, DS3 feels lacking of any of the charm or depth that DS2 has.
Dark Souls II for PS4 is a fun and addicting action RPG. The graphics are solid and the game performs flawlessly technically wise at 60 FPS. The story atmosphere and level design is excellent. The music soundtrack and voice acting is also excellent. The fighting mechanics are fluid and addictive. The character customization options are deep. The MP co-op is fun and will allow you to progress through the game if you need help. Overall, Dark Souls II is my favorite of the series and I find the gameplay highly addictive. I definitely recommend it.
Horizon Zero Dawn is the best action RPG that I have ever played and experienced in my life. Aloy is one of the best protagonist that I have ever had the joy of playing with. Her personality and character depth is phenomenal. The post apocalypse Sci-Fi story plot is very interesting and engaging. The graphics and combat system are excellent. The music soundtrack is amazing. The support cast and voice acting are amazing as well. Excellent job Guerilla Games!
