Nobody knew he was directing it in the first place, M. Night is back ruining lovable stars making us feel bad that this has to go against Jaden and Will Smith like this. It has "decent production" but the terible direction and horrible screenplay make everything just flunk for this film.
If you like races then this is the movie for you. If your actually smart, then you know that Tokyo Drift is not worth watching at all. It loses all signs of an even remotely good cast, and can only provide messy scenes to make up for it.
2 Fast 2 Furious is nothing compared to the first movie. It lacks thrill and is more attractive in looks, 2 Fast 2 Furious is just your regular brain dead film with absolutely no point at all.
Cry, the Beloved Country misses some details from the book that are huge and does not get the right actors for some of the roles, but its fairly well made and emotional all the same. Its not a ruiner.
Its pretty sloppy and is more entertaining if you like intense car races with action at the same time, Fast and the Furious doesn't end up a total drag, still its boring.
The wolfpack still doesn't have the same feel as the first Hangover, but its main goal was to show it could revive itself from Hangover Part II and it totally did. Sure it might not have been very funny, but it added a weird psycho dark twist to the series. The critics are haters, Part III was bad but not that bad.
Les Miserables is a powerful and depressing which is just what the adaptation needs. However, despite Anne Hathway great acting, Tom Hooper basically just made the musical with more awesome sound eits. So my message to this mixed film is, if you want to be a musical, then dammit Hooper make a freaking musical for crying out loud.
Vin Diesel fills this movie with loaded jam-packed high flying action, but because of its nonstopingness, XXX just feels like another boring same old thing action film.
Riddick feels all but the same way every video game adaptation feels, action packed without a point but to copy the video game. To add on to that, it makes the sci-fi thriller Pitch Black look silly.
Vin Diesel when he was actually good (I liked Fast Five also), Pitch Black may not be the sci-fi plot everybody's looking for, but the action is suitable and thrilling enough and so are the performances, so Pitch Black doesn't fail.
Just like any other Iron Man the visual effects are unbelievable. To top that off, Iron Man 3 is explosive and extremely thrilling, making the last three Marvel superhero films look like amateurs.
The new Gatsby tries to center itself on visual masterpiece, costume design, and other technical categories that it forgets to spend time on acting, direction, and greatness making this classic plot go uneven and present possibly the worst performance of Tobey McGuire fairly good career.
It's like 2001: A Space Odyssey only not written well at all. However besides its confusing atmosphere, Tom Cruise, as usual, has a good performance to make for the plot, and the production and visual masterpiece is mind-blowing.
Star Trek Into Darkness was obviously not going to be anything compared to the first reamke of the Star Trek franchise, but because of its spectacular visuals and thrilling action sequences with a little flavor or Benedict Cumberbatch and J.J. Abrams awesomeness, Star Trek Into Darkness just feels like any other powerful sci-fi thriller.
I think Rodriguez was surprised that this was his movie. It loses it's Spy Kids taste with no humor (or should I say nice try at trying to be funny) and unflavored action. It also gives us awful performances by not only Alba and the family but also by the reuniting cast of the old Spy Kids, which also made the film unneccesary. Robert Rodriguez's worst direction ever.
Robert Rodriguez loses his Spy Kids style in Sharkboy & Lavagirl. The script is terrible and drowsy, and the action is quite frankly, boring if not so imaginative it ****. It aims to be a kids movie, but is Rodriguez the right director for kids?
Once Upon A Time In Mexico is like watching Spy Kids. It's so hard to take seriously because of the cheesiness and sytlized jumbling of action. That's why it's a fun film to watch.
Its not doubt Michael Bay's best film to date, with an amazing score and messed up story. Pain and Gain is a hard film to rate though because you wonder about Bay's sexism in the movie and the characters are hard to root for, and when i say characters i mean evry last one. Strong performances came out this film and I am very proud with Bay for actually making a sensible film (or more like finally making a good film since The Rock).
The Hunger Games is an overall disappointment. The book tells you that this "game" comes with brutality, and the movie tells you brutality can't be found only glimpses of disturbing imagery can. For the technical categories The Hunger Games is an achievement. The pace destroys the movie though. Movies are kind of like music. They have timing. The Hunger Games threw events at you bam bam bam bam! It tried to fit everything in so well that the movies pace was to uneasy and fast leaving it with boringness and unpleasantsy.
The movie feels like its trying to make fun of Vonnegut the whole time leaving it dead last in the likings of Vonnegut fans and anyone else. Willis also shows bad acting.
To The Wonder is not even close to the greatness of The Tree of Life. But with great imagery and tempo performances, To The Wonder is a suitable film for all audiences.
Outstandingly written and extremely hilarious, Beverly Hills Cop is to this day one of the best comedies ever not to mention a hilarious performance by Eddie Murphy.
With outstanding and revolutionary make-up and howling special effects, An American Werewolf In London is a major success especially with its surprising blend of horror and humor.
You look for a good film full of good performances and you get more of a badly made Bucket List instead. It's nothing to be to excited about and its one of the most disappointing small, not-very popular films ever made.
Predators brings back the predator trilogy back to life especially after the downfall of the AVP and AVPR crap. It brings new storytelling, new scares, and more gore that is actually tolerant. A success
It does seem a bit sloppy at times, The Way of the Gun is an entertaining thrill ride not to mention a perfect screen couple of Benicio del Toro and Ryan Phillippe.
I've had about enough with this stupid series. It's not funnny at all and Charlie Sheen is one of the worst actors ever. Scary Movie was good and it should have just been its own film. The series needs to END!!
Some may say that Mr. Brooks had too many twists to it. Mr. Brooks is an amzingly setup and strangely dark thriller that kept interested the whole time
Wyatt Earp doesn't impress but it does manage not be a bad film also. Better direction and a better way of writing this cowboy epic and it might have been an enjoyable film. There's not much else to say.
Tyler Perry is not Tyler Perry even for the pathetic director Tyler Perry already is. This film was so hard to watch not because it tryed to sentimental but because it wasn't put together well. Tyler Perry's fault all around. Maybe if he could actually write a decent script for all audiences and not all black people this film wouldn't of hard both races so hard. Maybe if he took time to direct something this movie wouldn't of ****. The script is impossible to make into a good film and with Tyler Perry controlling this film all hell breaks loose. I'm so upset I even gave this movie my movie and my time.
I praise it becuase its better than the third and fourth supermans but at the same time I'm concerned by the bad effort Bryan Singer put on its direction. It has outstanding visuals but Superman Returns falls into great depths of boredom and similar to 300, it looks to hard for memorable scenes.
Stronger than before only it doesn't have the same feel. Sigourney Weaver's performance is beyond anyone's imagination and the visuals are a hell of a ride but for some Aliens doesn't have the same feel as the original. Maybe its because James Cameron directed it I mean that could be the only explanation. The only thing James Cameron is good at is making mega box-office hits......
Though it feels like the director is looking for something more than it already is, Place Beyond The Pines provides great performances including a stepping stone performance for Eva Mendes.
The humor and scenes of Hot Rod feel kind of like an Adam Sandler dumba** flick but Hot Rod is different as to drag in more memories yet unforgettable scenes at the same time. The important part are the memorable Samberg scenes in which you can forget you hate these kind of movies and enjoy the ride.
Its definetly a bigger step from Rise of Cobra, however Retaliation has an are-we-there-yet effect on its non stop action scenes and has plot shifts that are strange especially because of what happens to Duke at the beginning.
G.I. Joe:Rise of Cobra lacks the vision of a fun action-packed Hasbro adaptation. It provides sloppy scenes and visuals, and has no fun to its tone. Its messy direction provided terrible performances and annoying cast. Rise of Cobra fails on all levels.
Natural Born Killers is written and directed like an all star and contains stunning performances from Woody Harrelson and Robert Downey Jr.(Juliette Lewis did good too). Oliver Stone gives an outrageously violent story and strong direction making it a near perfect film. However its dark tone is overexposed and at times uncomfortable making it inches from being on top 10 all-time lists.
It shows an okay example of what Lucas has to go through but hey lets just put it this way, why care? It's Lucas's problem not anybody elses. This film was mostly unnecessary but it did let me release my hatrid for Mr. Lucas.
A lot of criticism has been given to this movie especially because Nicolas Cage doesn't give proper treatment to his role but in general I thought that this was an interesting and yet really weird movie at the same time. I guess I'm saying i've seen worst.
Extremely satisfying and depressingly hilarious, Garden State is one of the best comedy dramas ever and gives amazing performances for Natalie Portman and Zach Braff.
You can look at this film four different ways. 1) You can see it as a gleeful everyday stylized action thrilling film 2) You can see it as a sentimental revenge flick 3) You can see it as another great and strong direction by Rodriguez or 4) You can see it as a chance to teach Jessica Alba on how you pronounce Machete.
One of the most intellegent films of all time, presenting a hilarious performance by Aaron Eckhart and yet another great jump for Jason Reitman. It's no Juno but it'll do.
I feel like I wasted my time watching this movie since it was already unpopular. Halle Berry had a bad performance and scenes just go down in history forgettable. It wasn't total failure but it could have and should have been more than it was.
Movie 43 had a few laughs here and there. Consequently this movie was just an overexposure of extremely disgusting skits. I expected more but what is their to expect in a movie that gives skit by skit like this.
