A faithful recreation of a classic, burdened by a promise to not include microtransactions only to add them a month later in order to dodge game critics from lowering scored for it. Do not buy this game. Do not let publishers treat you like this.

Lacking in content at launch to be patched in at later dates. Ludicrously expensive season pass for a game that will likely have two more separate editions with their own passes and hundreds of dollars of DLC on the side. Horrible online play for competitive. This is an early access game with a 60 dollar price tag at base and will require even more if you just want all the characters. Don't buy this game. Wait until DOA6 Last Round comes out a few years from now which will at least have more base content and better features.

The Cyber sleuth series has one of the most disempowering and nonsensical storylines of any JRPG, overly reliant on every character in the plot taking turns holding the idiot ball in order for key points to progress or happen in the first place. That does not change in the sequel. Heck, the start of the game is basically "I'll prove to everyone that I'm not a hacker by using these super hacker powers that were forced on me!". Just...think about that for more than a few seconds. What is worse is that this game might as well be an asset flip. Their own assets, sure, but most of this game's models is from the original Cyber Sleuth game. Even worse is that they will end up selling both games twice with no content added on when the inevitable PS4 release happens. These games getting acclaim is only going to make this greed and laziness more **** I guess if that's what people want, there's little a minority voice on the internet can do.

A sequel done correctly. Most everything from the first game but either more or better in almost every aspect. Almost. Careers are much appreciated for variety and enemy variety is a huge plus over the original. However, the one area the sequel steps back in is the crafting. Crafting on launch of Vermintide 1 was also mediocre but over the years Fatshark added some extra options and tweaks that gave much needed improvements. Those options and tweaks are gone in the sequel. While it's still more bearable than VT1 release, it's disappointing to see a step back accompanied by so many steps forward. The game is also a bit unclear about certain mechanics that become quickly necessary to survive it's sometimes brutal difficulty, even on low settings. As an example, you can block while reviving a fallen party member in order to not get knocked out of reviving by mob attacks. For people who prefer more solo experiences, this is probably not the game for you. Even as a solo player grouping with randoms, you will need to play with and around your team to succeed in missions. Just a few play sessions will show players this. Overall, I love this game. Most of my nitpicks are simply that, me searching for negatives in a game I adore. Especially for a 30$ price tag, this is worth your time if anything about the game sounds like you might have an interest in it.

I dunno, I liked it. The faces are really the only thing that bothers me, and they aren't NEARLY as bad as people are saying. The graphics are better than ME3 as well but weird human faces and a few FPS issues in crowded areas are too eye catching for people to realize this. Oh yeah, and the character creating was majorly disappointing. Other than that, fun characters. Engaging combat with an emphasis on movement. Good premise. Story on par with the original Mass Effect. Some questionable NPCs, some great NPCs. Cringey sex scenes but alright romance. Pretty much Mass Effect 1 with tighter gameplay, but released in a much more competitive market. If the masterpiece that was Witcher 3 hadn't come out, this game would probably be much higher rated.

This game is pretty amazing, and is one of the most immersive fighting game experiences I've played in a while. This game would normally be a 10/10 for me if it wasn't for Ubisoft and the awful, HORRIBLE matchmaking. Playing anything besides Duel on any system is a struggle, and if any single player decides to drop out of the match you have a large chance of the entire match just crashing down around everyone else. I just can't give this well made game a good score for as long is it's nothing but torture to try and play.

Spyder's back at it again with almost the exact same game as their last two entries. It's fairly clear they have found their comfort point when it comes to games. While I do like these games, there is a certain amateur tinge to them that keeps me from recommending them wholeheartedly, along with them rarely living up to all of the game's promises. First thing off the bat; Being a technomancer is kind of lame. Your power that makes people scared of you is basically the ability to shoot lightning. In a world that has guns. Boo. They make similar promises for games like Mars and Bound By Flame and rarely keep them though, so fans of the company won't be very surprised, just disappointed. However the characters and the story are fun and decently engaging, typical of Spyder as well. If you are looking for a sci-fi action adventure there is little to steer you wrong here, I'm speaking more from a position of wishing that a promising company would step a bit out of it's comfort zone from time to time.

People think this needs to be a free to play game? Really? Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2 weren't free to play at first, why is this seemingly such a big deal for Overwatch? Microtransactions? Thats a problem with the industry as a whole, and Overwatch is far less abusive with it's microtransactions than much stronger cases of doing it horribly like Dungeon Keeper mobile, Dragon Age Inquisition or any of Ubisofts ilk. At least Overwatch keeps it purely cosmetic, if you only care about the gameplay this game costs 20 dollars and ONLY 20 dollars (for PC). It's not even like you don't get skins through just playing the game, you do, and most players tend to get a fair amount of legendary skins, the game's most high dollar item...They just don't get the ones they want. Babies, the lot of them. Oh boo hoo, RNG gave you the wrong T-Shirt. Better rate the game a 0 and claim it's all due to the "high" price tag and the evil of microtransactions. Try to stick to actual criticism in the future, like how the competitive watch was a complete mess and how the gain and loss of points seems way too heavy on the loss with not nearly enough gain. Or how Overwatch's vibrant cast seems almost focus grouped to appeal to everyone without being remotely controversial.

A really fun game if you like a challenge, dislike handholding and hack n' slash meets bullethell gameplay. Lots of room for improvement through a fast paced combat system, speedrun mode and challenges and no hit challenges are all things that greatly add to my enjoyment of this game. The story is both pretty abstract but also fairly clear by the end which was a nice touch I wasn't expecting, most indie games with abstract story tend to try to keep it abstract so people keep talking about it but Furi actually does a decent job of answering most questions the player asks while going from boss to boss. I have experienced a few bugs and recorded them for posterity, however I have probably put about 40-50 hours into this game so far so that's not a bad track record at all. One negative would be the abysmal tank controls from boss fight to boss fight when walking through some amazing landscapes which can be fixed by pressing X and setting your character to auto walk, however this only makes you realize just how long some of these slow walking segments can be. It bugged me slightly at times and is part of the reason why some of my friends don't like it as much as I do, but at least the music and the visuals are nice. Gameplay is smooth most of the time, though it takes quite a bit of time to learn how to control your dash distance well. It follows similar logic to punishing mechanics in fighting games and consistent damage in bullethells, you can shoot most bosses as they launch their attacks at you and dash in to punish them with melee attacks after they finish their own attacks in the first phase of the stage, then get locked into a close range combat session for the second phase of the stage focused around timed blocks and attacking, as well as a charge slash to exploit opponent's openings and a risk-reward boost slash that amps up your next hit to deal huge amounts of damage as long as you don't get hit before you land the attack. Each boss after the first boss plays with these concepts a bit so during your first run you have to be flexible. This boss flies off the edge of the map for some of their attacks, not allowing you to punish with melee and focus on shooting. This boss will dodge your all of your shots and launch extra attacks when you shoot at them while they are trying to melee you, forcing you to focus more on melee instead of shooting and etc. Overall I'm having a blast with this game and though I'm not usually the speedrun type I'm having fun challenging myself in this game, only one trophy away from the platinum. It's not a game for casual pick up and have fun, the third boss of the game will make that perfectly clear, but if you want a challenging and engaging boss rush game with a great soundtrack, interesting fights and cool character designs (mostly), then give it a try. Edit; I see a lot of people complaining about the easier difficulty and calling it "insulting"...these people obviously have no idea what the easier difficulty is meant for in this game. All it does is give you more lives, so you have more time to get used to each phase of the fights and the combat system before you head back into Furi to actual beat the game. It's inclusion shouldn't be seen as condescending, quite the opposite. It's a obvious sign that the developer knows how hard it's game is and wants to offer tools to get better at it without having to restart the fight over and over again when you run out of your limited lives.

I'm giving this series the benefit of the doubt so far. I'm a fan of TT games but even I rolled my eyes when I heard they were going to tackle Batman next. Between the Nolan trilogy, the newest Snyder film, the Arkham series and The Killing Joke movie I was a bit worried Telltale might have thrown in with the wrong franchise this time around. However, this ended up being a lot better than I expected. Not great, mind you, but good in my eyes and worth checking out. Fans of the Caped Crusader will most likely enjoy living out their favorite Batman archtypes and dancing through conversations with fan favorites like Harvey Dent and Commissioner Gordon. Although these characters have been beloved by generations, this is one of the first products to my knowledge where you don't just get to watch the characters, you get to interact with them through dialogue. Most other popular Batman games in particular follow the beat em up or stealth formula, even games as brilliant as Arkham Asylum. This is very much a TT game however and if you have a history of disliking this style of adventure game don't expect this one to change your mind. There was a grand total of one new gameplay bit that I would call fresh and interesting, the rest of the gameplay is the standard Telltale affair. Performance wise I had no problem save for a frame stutter during a transition scene, though I will state that a vocal majority seems to have a lot of issues with this game performance wise. It's always difficult to tell if this is true for the actual majority of players since those with performance issues rate much lower than those without in general. In summary, this game surprised me with how much I ended up liking it. I'm not burned out on Telltale just yet but I thought I was certain I was on Batman, and this game proved me pleasantly wrong. A good start for a new series with some interesting ideas for the IP that has me excited for the next episodes. JUST DON'T MESS IT UP LIKE YOU DID WITH GAME OF THRONES

Why the hell are so many story driven games having trouble telling a complete story anymore? The Game of Thrones tone is still there but it ends at what feels like the mid season point should be. Many of the plot lines pretty much go nowhere. Actually I take that back, considering the world and how the one interesting plot ends pretty much none of the plots go anywhere. Grrrrrrrrrrrr why do games I really want to just like, enjoy, appreciate and recommend to my friends keep disappointing me? First Life is Strange and now this. At least we still have Tales From the Borderlands, though.

It's getting better. I wouldn't say great yet. Just better. Still pales in comparison to the rest of Telltale's body of work. But it's trying, bless it's poor little heart. I actually laughed a few times in this episode. That's a few times more than the previous two. This is a bit more in line with what I thought of when I thought "Telltale's Minecraft Game". Maybe since the team from Tales of the Borderlands just finished up they helped out. I dunno. This is weird, I'm not used to things like this improving anymore. Don't stop though.

Ehhh no, I'm sorry Telltale. I've loved all of your game series to some extent, Night at the Inventory were great time sinks while making dinner with a good sense of humor, The Walking Dead and especially Tales From the Borderlands are story masterpieces in my opinion and Wolf Among Us and Game of Thrones are interesting even if they do leave me feeling cold or bored from time to **** you see, that's a pretty important distinction. The Wolf Among Us and Game of Thrones had me bored or uninspired every now and then, mostly in later episodes. For Minecraft, bored and uninspired is my default. And that's not a good thing. In a point and click adventure you should NOT be waiting for something engrossing to happen. The characters (save for Ruben who's adorable) are all uninteresting, even the ones I wanted to like was more out of me liking their design and less them giving me something to love. This is especially hurtful to me as I was one of the only one of my friends that had faith in this series, as a fan of The Fallen Kingdom series of music videos of minecraft I thought there could be a chance for a good story to come out of this. Who knows, maybe the series is having a slow build up and episodes 3+ will tap into that possibility for good story that I originally saw and I would still love to be proven wrong about my current view on the series but with the way it is now I doubt it.

First of all, play this game without knowing much about it. All you should know about the game is that it's a mixture of snes-rpg elements with top down shooter combat to keep things fresh and that this game was largely inspired by the Mother series. If you learn anything more than this or listen to the universal praise or unerring hate Undertale is well known to get it might ruin your expectations. That being said, this game has a great cast of lovable characters who each still have their flaws and missteps (except Papyrus, Papyrus is damn near perfect) fantastic music that anyone can appreciate but will especially get 8-bit fans excited, unique battle system that essentially is where you decide what ending you will get and wonderful little meta nuggets and fourth wall breaking features done in the best way possible. It's Metal Gear Solid 2 levels of meta at times, and one part in particular goes even beyond **** the part I adore the most, it's a complete package. Almost every question you can ask can be answered by some part in the game, it's been a long time since a game offered such a tight, held together story in my memory. If any of these elements sound intriguing you'll find something to love in Undertale, I sure did.

As a Metal Gear fan and knowing this will probably be the last installment in the series this game left me very conflicted. On one hand it's a next to ideal open world stealth game with a wide variety of both effective and wacky options to take care of your foes. On the other hand the in game story is lackluster and doesn't really contribute to the Metal Gear story as a whole. On one hand base customization and recruiting soldiers in the field are both great concepts I would like to see done well in more games. On the other hand the loading and travel times can be abysmally long, I even ran into long loading times trying to access the menu. Take the good with the bad, there's a very fun game here but I'm giving it a 7 just because of how disappointing the story was from the game that was supposed to answer all if not most of out questions. Also, the reason for Quiet's skimpy outfit is just stupid. Just straight stupid. Sorry Kojima, even knowing the reason I'm not going to feel ashamed about thinking so when her character design was first revealed.
