The cinematography is quite good but this is probably the least accurate historical movie ever made. Actual events are for the most part literally the opposite of what is portrayed and villains by any measure. This is essentially the equivalent of making a movie with a story about Jeffrey Dahmer's heroic struggles with a overwhelming eating disorder. There are so many real heroes in history to write about so a story that is false to this degree really is tragic.

I was excited and looking forward to this movie but then I saw it. It is by far the most ridiculous superhero movie I've ever witnessed and my first "zero" I've awarded to any movie on Metacritic. This thing doesn't even follow basic logic. Characters instantly have complex abilities and knowledge such as one character who is a stick and rudder pilot who somehow instantly can fly highly complex jets. Diana is now endowed with every ability of literally every superhero in the DC universe. Superman flight - check, immune to bullets - check (no need for the wrist bands anymore, just impervious), instant unlimited invisibility - check and so on. In addition Diana's rope is now endowed with literally all the powers of Thors hammer - and more. What's worse is almost every male character in this movie is either a moron, tyrant, sexist, pervert or worse. Just imagine for a moment how a man hating zealot might perceive the male gender - well this movie repeatedly, over and over and over highlights every negative male stereotype. The team that put together this trainwreck should never be allowed to make movies again. They literally dump on 90% of the audience.

This movie is 3hrs long. You get literally 15 minutes of dialog in 3 long hours. For almost the entire time it has excruciatingly slow sweeping views of mountains, waterfalls, clouds, churches, sheering sheep, wheat fields, chores being performed etc. The cinematography is nice and what acting that exists here is quite good. Thing is there is really no movie to speak of. Imagine if you took the first 20 minutes of Quest For Fire and extended it out to 3 hours. That is what A Hidden Life is.

First Man went to great lengths to highlight in lengthy detail every major failure of the space program up to Apollo 11 with no balance to it. This movie spent zero time on any of the successes until the end with the successful landing on the moon. The movie itself is well made, well acted and the special effects were fine. This is this movie depicted an complete rotten life for Neil Armstrong that seemingly turns him into this nearly emotionless stoic. They should have mixed in a little bit more of the Right Stuff and show at least something of the many successes leading up to Apollo 11. The movie was highly riveting in a misleading way most of the time. The actual landing sequence was decent and I thought it was the best part in the movie. But seriously you get 2hrs of tragedy, 20 minutes of spaceflight and really nothing positive about the program. They literally spend more time discussing Russia's successes at the time than anything NASA did. It is a very adept attempt at revisionist history.

I don't get the negative reviews for this movie. It's almost like there is a segment of people that automatically gravitate to the polar opposite of the conventional wisdom. So this thing gets great reviews across the board and poof they hate it. This is a great movie and sad it largely getting hammered because it got such great reviews. I enjoyed this movie from start to finish. Lots of twists, genuine scenes that had high gravity (something totally missing from the prequels). I genuinely disliked the prequels as they were almost like watching a cartoon. This movie was excellent and has a very real real Star Wars feel to it in every way.

Bizarre movie with occasional fun sequences but includes galactic sized plot holes. I normally love this sort of movie but this thing was just embarrassing in many ways. Often you will find yourself completely puzzled in "After Earth" sorts of ways. The last hour I found myself wishing the movie would just end. Btw a fair amount of bathroom humor that is done in ways it hopes will shock you. Terrible stuff.

I'm usually ultra forgiving of plot-holes but this movie has so many it's just sad. There is no way these film makers spent 2 seconds on countless issues with scenes that make no sense. The only other movie I really complained about so many laughable plot-holes was After Earth. This movie is *that bad.

When I saw Warcraft today I expected a SyFy channel cheesy deal but to my surprise it's far higher quality than that. It's funny the opening scene fanned my worst fears as weapons that visually look like 30 pounds were wielded like they weigh 1 pound (i.e. styrofoam) BUT it got much better. This movie is actually awesome and I hope it does really well at the box office. It's the first really well done fantasy genre movie since the original LOTR series. (I don't count the Hobbit as they took a lot of steps back with that).

I loved this movie. YES there are some plot elements from the original 3 Star Wars films but this movie is extremely well done. One could argue this is better than any previous Star Wars film. The action is Indiana Jones'ish. The production qualities are certainly better than any previous edition by a large margin. It has the feel of the original 3 which is great. I got to recapture some of that magic of my younger days today.

The ratings this movie received are just bizarre. The movie was really good. The movie is not your run of the mill adventure. Less formulaic than most movies of this type. This movie is worth seeing.

This movie was both entertaining and thought provoking. My family was talking about it well after the movie was over and that is almost always a sign it was very good. Even the most critical eye theoretically would call this movie good or very good. The few going negative on it either didn't actually see it or might be trolling.
