If you are thinking this is "Marvel's Shredder's Revenge", you are wrong, this game has more in common with the old Marvel arcades from the early '90s, the moment you see 8 heroes on the screen at the same time, you will immediatly remember the Konami X-Men classic (if you are an old like me, of course). There are also some light RPG elements that incentivate replaying stages with different characters, which is something necessary because the game becomes quite challenging in the latter levels. If I have to say something negative about the game, is that they left out some legacy characters in place of some..."interesting" choices, and being 2025, I have to believe that is because they have DLC planned. Other than that, this is a must if you are a beat em up/Marvel fan.

While succeeding in some aspects (proving the Silent Hill 2 remake wasnt a fluke, and that Bloober Team finally cracked how to make good survival horror games), the game suffers from ridiculous difficulty spikes, unbalanced resource management that can force you to re-start the game after 10 hours of playtime, abysmal combat, and worst of all, the lack of a map, wich I think had to be some sort of self-sabotage. If you enjoy survival horror games with unforgiving resourse management, and have enough patience to deal with the combat and getting lost because the lack of a map...this might be your GOTY contender.

As good ideas it has, their excecution keep feeling mediocre and clunky every single time. Both level and boss designs are mediocre because Shinji Mikami was involved in name only (are you even aware this game was directed by some dude called Massimo Guarini?), story is mediocre because Suda51 had to rewrite the story five time at EA's demand, music is mediocre simply becaase this is not the type of game Akira Yamaoka use to make music for... Its not a terribe game, its **** at least it was in 2011 when it was originally released, the remaster, released in 2024, brought some improvements like a New Game + (ridiculously absent in the original release) but some technical isues and the fact that the game feels even MORE dated **** came out at a reduced price, if you can get it for about $20 bucks, go for it, you will get some enjoyment out of it.

While not as "flashy" and with so much content as Street Figther and others, the art style retains the charm of the classic games, and, unlike the competition, is not desperately after your wallet (not yet at least); you are getting a complete fighting game with a decent ammount of single player content for $60 bucks. Beware, though, this is still an SNK game, the AI is cheap as hell, even on the standard difficulty!

About the Shadow of Rose campaign, hope you like one-hit kills, because that's what you are getting! It also feels really cheap, it only useing assets from the main game (released 18 months before), to the point it literally use the same crappy ending as the main game. The story, is basically Resident Evil meets Kingdom Hearts, it feels completely out of place in this franchise, more than RE6 ever did. The sequence with the mannequins is decent, but last just bare minutes... About the rest of the new content, the main campaign wasnt designed to be played in third person, and its noticiable, and the three new additions to The Mercenaries are lame. Not worth $20 bucks.

Play the original game. At best, Delta is an inferior and souless version of the game released in 2004, at worst, is a generic mess, with incredible unresponsive controls, and literally **** I dont mean the pathetic technical performance (720p and 60fps in 2025, lmao), I mean broken, as in the AI of the enemies is broken, they will see and hear you no matter what you do, unless you use paid DLC, to balance the new mechanics so the game wouldnt be too easy, they just broke the AI. And to balance the bosses they just gave them a zillion HP, and your bullets will literally go through **** mix that with the fact that Snake controls like a$$ (Phantom Pain came out a decade ago, ffs), and you have a miserable experience. Graphics might look pretty, but incredible generic, if you played any other game running on Unreal 5, this looks exactly the same as all of them, no art direction. Seriously, play the original game.

While it was a suprinsingly good game, it does have issues not present in the original, I'm going to focus on those since every person on Earth has already praised this game. Since in current times games HAVE to be 20 hours long, the game is full of padded sections, while the original lasted 6-8 hours on the first run, this game ends up around the 15-20 mark, which is ridiculous for a survival horror game, a genre which main atraction is having short and tight campaigns, that incentivates multiples playthroughs (I dont see many people even trying to get the 8 endings this game has). These padded sections are specially noticiable in the first half of the game, which might turn some new players to quit the game entirely, which would be a shame. On the other hand, the second biggest issue this game has is having such a big focus on combat, with multiple and very agresive enemies...Silent Hill is about atmosphere and exploration, having to fight so many enemies (with every fight ending in a game over if you get careless) distracts from the experience. Other than these two issues, the game is great, dont listen to haters who just want to gatekeep Silent Hill 2, while not as good as the original (if this game is a 9, the OG is a 10), this is one of the best remakes ever made, and I envy you if you never played the original, because you are going for a ride...

I was going to mention that, if you liked the first game, you should buy this, despite some changes they made, like making the game A LOT more cryptic and confusing, however, something made me change my mind, because its something most people who liked the first game complained about, and the developers CHOOSE to ignore; we still have no option to turn off the constant moans from the protagonists. While this was bad in the first game (again, it was the main complain) here, since you have to keep exploring because of how confusing the game is, it makes the game almost unplayable; you jump, MOAN, you hit something, MOAN, you get hit, MOAN, you grab an item, MOAN...I'm sure japanese audiences love this, but since we dont, we should be given the option, and it pisses me off the developers KNOW this is an issue, and just dont care. Unless you play with headphones and you actually enjoy this, this is a deal-breaker. Add to that constant slowdowns, or things like untested boss fights, but I guess they were too busy making sure the underage girls looked really detailed instead of working on that. I would avoid this game, since it is an inferior, lazy, and broken version of the first one.

Onimusha 2 is my favorite of the franchise, and one of my favorite games ever, however, its age shows, and while Capcom did put some effort here (unlike with the previous remaster), it isnt enough to adapt the game to modern times. Things like analog support, changing weapons on the fly, and autosaves are welcomed changes, but those are not enough, they didnt fix the auto-lock (which was already a problem 23 years ago), and the game now running at 60fps presented a new problem; while the enemies move at that framerate, your character doesnt, this adds a lot of artificial difficulty, and when you add that to the fixed camera (this game is a lot more focused on action than the first one) you get an experience that can get very frustrating. Also, for some reason, Capcom decided to censor this M rated game, nothing mayor; they basically put a black bar on an alternate costume, and they modified 1 second of the opening cinematic that you wont notice unless you are looking for **** still, this should be the definitive way to play the game (also, Capcom actually decensored one cutscene in the first game, so this makes no sense). In short, I recommend this game to diehard fans of the original release who want to play it on an accesible (and legal) way, but for newcomers...I cant recommend it, at least not at full price.

This game can be considered "Curse of the Moon 3", the game is very similar; you can switch characters on the fly, you can fight close or from a distance, and you have different paths you can explore after you gain new sub-weapons. Also, you have a "casual" mode that prevents the game from having the absurd and artificial difficulty from the old NES games its based on. The pixelart is great, although this might be the first problem this game has; the artstyle is not for everybody. It should be obvious just by seeing the store page, but this is basically "Castlevania III with waifus" (unless you consider Sypha a waifu). I personally dont have a problem with that, but some might, and is not only the characters in game, the images showing the game's story show very "interesting" angles, the game is not shy about this game being extremely "kawai". And this leads to the second problem, which is the biggest; the audio. I know the "people of culture" who like these types of anime is not only because of the art, but also for the voices, and for these people, well, the game delivers, the sisters are constantly screaming in really "weird" ways, while they also keep screaming things like "onii-chan" and that kind of stuff, you know, the "**** game has the option to put english voices, but why would you play a game with this artstyle with english voices? what this game doesnt have are options when it comes to audio, while they should add an option to turn off the constant screaming, I think in this day and age is a given games should have an option to turn down the master **** better lower the speakers before starting this bad boy or your neighbors are calling the FBI. In short, amazing plataformer, just as good as the Curse of the Moon games, but is not for everybody...I would suggest trying it out before buying, or wait for a sale, considering I think is a matter of time before they put some audio options.

I didnt like the 2018 game, but I loved this one...however, it has problems, the story could've been better, there was enough material to make TWO games, the ending feels **** the other hand, the writting becomes pretty messy near the end. Characters also speak "weird", this is especially noticiable with Odin, you probably read about this in other reviews. When it comes to gameplay, there are also some problems; camera is still a problem when fighting multiple enemies, and the game wont just SHUT UP, every time you spend more than 3 seconds trying to figure out a boss or a puzzle, your AI partners will start giving you hints, and they wont stop, and in some cases, they will give you these hints in a "funny" manner, and hearing "jokes" when you are in the middle of a boss **** gets annoying, really annoying. Why give it a 9/10 with all these problems, then? because what this game does good, it does it REALLY good. Also, I played the entire game on a base PS4, and while I'm sure the game running at 60fps and 4K on a PS5 is a better experience, the game still runs and looks amazing at 30fps and **** slowdowns or bugs, even on day one.

While not as good as the original (one of the best games ever made), this is still one of the best remakes ever made, and probably the GOTY of this year. This remake shows how you improve and update a game, while paying respect to the original. Graphics keep showing how the RE Engine is a work of marvel, the OST is ridiculously good, and the game...this is how you update a Resident Evil game, instead of just making enemies immortal now that you can walk and shoot (like in REmake 2), they got a lot more agresive and intelligent, but at no point they feel cheat, because the game not only lets you walk and shoot at the same time now, the knife can parry almost every attack, and you can avoid other attacks by ducking. The pacing in certains sections was improved, and the lore got expanded...plus, the choreographies in some of the cutscenes are insane. On the down side, one boss was removed, the game near the end feels too long for its own good (exactly like the original), there are a few "walking sections" which add nothing to the experience, and on a personal note, I dont like they got rid of most of the **** game still has its goofy moments, but nowhere as many as the original. Also, the game doesnt have the right to run as good as it does on a base **** has some problems loading some textures (we are talking about 11 years old hardware), but at no point I experienced fps drops, also, zero bugs. If you are a fan of the original, you'll love this game (although maybe not as much as the original), and if you never played the original...I envy you for the adventure you are about to start... Buy this game.

You probably already heard about the input lag, and its real, and its bad, although it doesnt make the game unplayable. However, while I understand this is an emulation of a PS2 game, when the PS2 game came out, the series was already 10 years old (25 at the time of this version's release), and there is a lot of slowdowns, loading times, and glitches. Besides the poor emulation, the game runs like is running from a DVD...when it isnt the case. There are dozens of better ways to play these games, they are cheaper (or free), and have been available for decades. Only reason why I would recommend to buy this collection is if you want the trophies, but good luck with that considering the input lag. About the game themselves, they are classics, but they are from a different era, they were not made to be fair or balanced, they were made to take away your money at the arcades. However, the pixel art and the charm they have is legendary, and the reason why they are still so beloved 20 years after the release of the last entry in the franchise. In short, if you are a mega fan, buy it on a sale.

Worth the 11 years of wait, removing all of the series' problems (bad plataform sequences, the fixed camera angles, and the boss rushes), delivering what is the best entry in the franchise. The adition of Vergil (which is now included for free in all digital versions of the game) just makes what was already close to perfection even better. Why not a 10/10? some of V's sections might be too "different" for fans of the series, I could, I would rate this 9.5/10, because it gets really close to be a perfect game.

Now, to make it simple: If you never played any of the previous versions: buy it. If you only played the PS3 version: maybe buy it on a sale. If you played the PS4 version: dont buy it.
