Cool movie with an early 2000's medium budget movie vibe, but sadly the CGI also seems to be from the early 2000's. Liam Neeson and Joe Kerry add nothing to this movie, so their big paychecks would have been more useful to the CGI department...That's said, the scenario is nothing new, but it did the job and it was funny at times. Way better than 95% of the AI and/or "second screen" slop we are currently usually served.
The only positive point are the decors, really faithful. The cinematography is bad, the script is terrible, the actors are bad, the CGI is terrible. Everything they added is useless and makes the story incoherent and goofy. It reeks of early 2000's Resident Evil movies with Mila Jovovich...
It was an amazing movie (one of the best in recent years) and easily an 8,5/10 before the terrible last 20 minutes or so that almost completely ruined it for **** sad, because it was ramping **** a wet fart at the end. It was touching a lot of important societal and philosophical subjects that are erased by the goofy ending.
It tackles really important subjects (like the gig economy, homelessness, etc) in a very childish/simplistic way. Most jokes don't land and are cringe Keanu's acting is very rough and robotic, what going on with him ?
Jared Leto is a box office poison (and basically a cult leader) and my take is that he cast himself since he's one of the producers. The whole movie is an ego project, but a CGI spectacle with not much substance, cringy dialogues and the NIN score is very mid, I don't get the praise at all...They basically play 10 times some variations of the same song...
So tired of those low-budget nothingburgers "horror" movies. The dogs are cute and the shots and effects are beautiful, but it's so f*cking booooooooooring and zero scary...
This could have been a criticism of toxic masculinity, money, brianwashed sports mom/dad ruining their children's lives for THEIR failed dreams, cheating with drugs, unhealthy media pressure on athletes, escaping anxiety in drugs and sex, **** no Jordan Peele had to be extra artsy-fartsy and on-the-nose and ruin any potential subject with an over-the-top, dumb, cryptic "horror" movie...
Terrible and predictable plot. That CGI baby looks horrible. Actors and settings are nice, what a shame. The movie feels like a sequel and I didn't saw the first one, not a good feeling. Marvel is cooked.
Incredibly cringe. Badly filmed. The extreme close-ups are terrible. The scenes don't flow together at all. The beginning of the movie feels like it's a sequel and I missed the first one. The film doesn't know if it's set in the 70's or the 2020's. Green Lantern, Mr.Terrific & Engineer designs are terrible. Cat Grant is a useless bimbo. It's trying to be funny and fail every single time, etc.
