Even Serious Sam had more depth to him than Javier. It is him who drags it all to the bottom. After Clem and Lee, it's nigh-impossible to accept this bland dullness with a baseball bat, it really is. In many ways, this series is actually a step forward, especially in terms of graphics, but without compelling characters, all the technical achievements mean absolutely nothing. I tried to get him (Javier) killed every chance I got, but to no avail, he has to survive, which is the biggest disappointments of them all. Whoever wrote this "character" should stay away from Word and Keyboard to the rest of their sorry, uneventful lives.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt this is one of the greatest achievements in the history of storytelling. This game broke my heart and I love it even more because of that. Easily 10 out of 10 and a badass seal of approval.
