If you wish to lower your intelligence, then this movie is for you. Otherwise, watch it to laugh at the absurdities sold by this movie.

Dune: Part One10
Oct 24, 2021
Probably the best film I've seen since The Lord of the Rings. The only reason I'm not putting it above LotR is because it's a bit shorter and we don't have an extended cut, yet. Cinematography, what can I see. It's stunning. The story, the best of the best. Music is amazing, acting even more so. Pacing? Don't listen to critics, every Dune reader will be glad that the pacing is slow. It doesn't feel rushed, it covers all the important parts and you feel the depth of the story. The intro alone leaves this impression of something monumental on the horizon, which is the same impression you get from LotR intro, even though Dune's intro is far less action packed. Watch the movie in the cinema. It's completely different experience. You can't catch the magnificence of scenes on a small screen.

Probably the only movie where critics and users are in agreement, because the movie doesn't let you dislike it without looking like a complete dumbass. Every scene, every aspect of this movie is 10 out of 10.

Another documentary pushing identity politics, which should have been buried long time ago for the benefit of everyone. But tribalism and identitarianism tend to boil to the surface. African Americans aren't immune to it either, as this movie documents very well.

Complete trash. I have no idea what Disney tried to achieve with this one. The only people who might like it are the ones who never watched the movie it's derived from.

Good movie. Not many people deserve a father like the one portrayed by Matt Damon. Simple man with good upbringing, down to earth and brave.

This movie shows you why you should always watch the movie where critics score is low and user score is high. The bigger the gap between the critics and the users, the better the movie is in general.
A must, must watch.

This movie just shows you the critics are politically motivated. Their rating is not objective, not even slightly. You can't watch this movie and honestly say it's bad.
The movie is very well made. Watch it and be the judge.

Good documentary. Very eye opening and very well made. The levels of legal exploitation are incredible.
It's a must watch.

Incredible story and incredible achievement. Just understand that free climbing isn't free solo. Free climbing is climbing with a rope but not to assist you. Only to catch you if you fall. Some routes are impossible to free solo, even by the best of the best, which is where free climbing takes over. In terms of difficulty, free climbing is in most cases far more difficult than free solo, because it involves almost impossible routes.

I'd give this movie 6 or 7, but because the producers decided to include token black actors, I can't in good conscience give this anything other than zero. If you want to be inclusive, then give a black actor the main role, instead of blatant tokenism. If you can't understand why this is bad, imagine a white actor as one of the tribe characters in the movie Apocalypto. It doesn't work because it's inherently forced. White people don't want to see a white actor playing a native, nor do black people want to see a black actor playing a caucasian. It's dumb. Hollywood producers have this urge to insert random black characters into cultures where historically weren't none at the time, due to fear of "Hollywood Too White" label. They don't realize how racist this practice makes them look, so they'll have to learn the hard way.
