Don't Look Up10

Brilliant in pretty much every way. Great writing, great acting, a near perfect satirical presentation of society's nonchalance regarding climate change. It's so brilliant that I now judge people based on whether they like it or not. The critics scores are total nonsense if you're aware of how the media focus on what they're told to, ignoring the approaching end of days.

Absolute garbage. One of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time. Not scary in the slightest, terrible makeup, wasted what little talent Nicolas Cage has, and despite initially seeming atmospheric, just descends into a mess, which is almost comedic due to how seriously it clearly takes itself. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. In fact, the only recommendation I could give is to avoid it so you don’t waste your time and money. The trailer is, quite literally, better than the movie.

Watched this with my kids, and was stunned by the vulgarity of the whole thing, but all 3 of us absolutely laughed our asses off whilst hiding with embarrassment as things go horribly wrong or are just excruciating in every scene. The critics have a proper stick up their arses about this - anyone who doesn’t find this really funny (albeit absolutely dreadful) has had a sense of humour bypass. I laughed so much it was like I’d turned on a faucet (ahem).

Walking with Dinosaurs2
Dec 29, 2013
Spoiler: The plot is WALKING. With DINOSAURS. Took my kids to see this during the christmas break. My son (3) is obsessed with Dinosaurs, and as such would be pleased with pretty much anything, but he got bored after a while. There were none of the 'big name' dinosaurs (no T Rex, no Triceratops, velociraptors or brachiosaurs), and the story was told in a weird 'voice over' of the characters conversing rather than them actually talking, or it being narrated properly. Can't recommend it at all. Personally, I'd struggle to pluck up the enthusiasm to watch it again if it was on the TV and I could do it for free...
