For over a year they advertised this as something that fans of the books (and movies) would like. But the details made the fans question the direction of the story. Then they called us racists or sexists. Now that the show is out and everything that the fans said looked wrong with the story (once again, a Mary Sue in charge who is just so much better than all the men, yikes!) is exactly wrong with the story, here we are. IMDB (owned by Amazon!) is removing all negative reviews and they won't even allow allow reviews on Amazon itself. Garbage, garbage, garbage.

Well, my wife and I finished the series. After you get past the typical: "dads are dumb, men are dumb, women are so smart" plots, it turns into a decent and family friendly show. The science and plot are sketchy and wow, so many times during a serious life or death situation two things happen: 1. The main family of characters stop and have a "family moment", including long winded conversations and 2. One of the family members, almost certainly the "super mom", Doctor Quinn Medicine woman, "the force is female", woman power mom comes up with some super solution that solves all the problems and humiliates everyone around them with her super intelligence. Yikes. In the end, it was clean fun that made little sense. If you want to watch a good clean show with your kids, go for it. If you have daughters and want them to think they can do anything (including humiliate people 20 - 30 years old than them with their super intelligence) then go for it. But their **** and arrogance had me rooting against them as often as for them.

Season 1 review - I came here looking for reviews, where are they? My wife and I are halfway through season 2... Well it is a... good show. It is kind of like "Law and Order" but ultra liberal and more character based than story based. The court room drama ranges good to great and the plots twists are very good, but time and again liberal view points are shown as always good and conservative ones are "out of touch" and old-fashioned. It is still good acting and story-telling, just it just gets a bit much at times, though I do often pity the characters and their bad life choices, but I'm not sure the writers intend me too. On the other hand the personal drama is just over the top. These are adults making these decisions? A married woman whose marriage is on the rocks and is trying to rebuild it is pining away for her boss who was not even a boyfriend? The childish and short sighted decisions of these "adults" would be better suited to high school, if that: "do you like me or do you "like me", like me?" Then an adult woman pressures another adult woman at work to pursue a sexual relationship outside of her marriage because... why again? Love? With a man you've never been with except as a friend and co-worker? What about the wifes children? Her husband? The consequences? The guilt? What decision are the writers hoping I will cheer on, I wonder? If your friend pressures you to do something, frankly, stupid, they aren't your friend. Didn't we learn this in high school? It's like 9th graders are writing the moral dilemmas. There is plenty of drama in the courtroom for these peoples jobs, then they have office politics and then, somehow, they get the energy for affairs and liaisons and one night stands and liberal life styles and such... The lawyers can vacillate one minute from standing up for the little guy to then actively supporting a known drug dealer and murderer because he has money and their firm needs it more than they need a clean conscience.. The acting and the plot twists and courtroom drama keep me and my wife coming back, I'm guessing we will finish the whole series, but it feels a little demoralizing at times to see "adults" act this way and I seldom have someone I want to see win. FINAL EPISODE - Well without spoiling anything, we have finished this series entirely. It didn't get better. Plot lines come and go and wow, these are the most self-absorbed and lost people. And a very emotional but meaningless ending.

Started great, got boring by the middle and then simply melodramatic by the end. Good writing marred by a lack of vision and a lot of filler and recycled material. I starting thinking this could bring me back to the Star Wars universe after the dumpster fire of EP 7 - 9, but now it seems not. I have no doubt that this story will not end well, nor interestingly. The first few episodes told me I need to continue, the middle said I wanted to continue, the last couple of episodes said I might continue. Or, not.

There is nothing "Star Trek" about this show. Just a bunch of random "Star Trek" names ("Federation", "Klingon", "phasers") that someone coopted for a bad Sci-Fi show. Take away the names and the plot falls flat and offers nothing. The people are angry and follow no logical protocols. My wife and I, who have been huge fans of everything "Star Trek" since The Next Generation, forced our way through 3 episodes of this series and quit, never to return. How this got labeled "Star Trek" is beyond me, it is nothing of the sort.
