By the last 15 or so minutes of the movie, I started feeling dizzying and motionless at all the chaos and horror unfolding - mainly from the pounding music, the upside down camera, the obscure lighting and everything that happened earlier. Truly immersive experience.

★★★½ Very entertaining, clever, suspenseful stuff with an authentic and grounded portrayal of internet culture. About time. There are some problems I have. Some of the acting was a little wack. Pacing issues. All twists were well-crafted and advances the story/intrigue superbly until the last one which felt contrived and rushed. Had there been a satisfying ending and more emphasis on character development I would be comfortable calling this great. But yeh I liked it. What's your favorite Pokemon?

I'm very torn about how I feel about this movie. On one hand, there are some truly great moments and twists, beautiful VX effects, good performances, and strong characters... but on the other hand the story feels overstuffed and it ran on 40 minutes longer than it should. I admire the filmmakers' attempts to take risks, but the experience was sometimes so unwieldy that I might have to watch it again just to comprehend everything going on. Maybe people felt the same way for Empire back then IDK. At least it wasn't a repeat!

Wow! I had high expectations for this film, but it was more enjoyable than I thought it would be! Even with a long running time and not much laughs, Coco succeeds thanks to its gorgeous visuals, endearing characters, imaginative settings, strong plot, and heartfelt messages about the importance of life, death, memories, and family. It's also great to see Mexican culture be represented with care and affection by a Hollywood studio. A great film to watch on your Thanksgiving break. 8.5/10 (P.S. That Frozen short was awful. Dear G O D is it annoying!)

As good as its reputation has gotten. The visuals are mind-blowing even to this day, but what really struck many audiences was its engaging, intense, emotionally-powerful story and deep character development. It's one of those rare movies that's beautifully crafted yet still fun to watch. A masterpiece.

If I'm gonna grade as a movie by ITSELF and not as a so-bad-it's-good movie, then The Room is one of the biggest atrocities I have ever seen. Random, incoherent script, atrocious acting, sloppy framing, nonexistent story, unintentionally hilarious dialogue. It fails on every base level of filmmaking, but OH MAN is it funny! Most bad movies are forgotten because of how forgettable they are, but The Room is so inept, so random, and so bizarre that it achieves cult-status at how horrible it was! It's kind of sad, because Tommy Wiseau did pour his heart and soul in this project. It just ended up being famous for all the wrong reasons. Worth watching with friends. Can't wait for The Disaster Artist!

It's uneven and juvenile, but I liked it anyways. The bizarre premise sometimes gets in the way with its message, but the script has enough touching and genuinely funny moments to make the whole experience worthwhile. Fantastic lead performances, dreamlike cinematography, wonderful a cappella music. The ending was a mixed-bag, and some of the crass humor was a little much. Not for everyone, but worth a watch if you're an open-minded viewer.

Good? Yes. Spectacular? Absolutely not. For what it is, Thor: Ragnarok is creative, funny, exciting, and entertaining... but it lacks the emotional resonance that the best superhero movies have. It has lots of likeable characters and a decent-enough story, but there's no real weight to anything that happens until the last 20 minutes. It's a fun, goofy blockbuster film to invite your friends over... but don't have your expectations up too high, m'kay?

One of my favorite movies period. Nothing short of spellbinding, from the wonderful soundtrack to the cinematography to the unusual situations the characters go in. A unique, touching, entertaining, and endearing feel-good french film that has something to offer for everyone.

The Emoji Movie was a thing that should've never happened... but it did. And it's every bit as bad as you'd expect. Even with some half-decent animation, a good cast and maybe 1 or 2 chuckles, The Emoji Movie is far too lazy, poorly-written, cynical, unimaginative, and boring to recommend to anyone but the youngest moviegoers. There is little to no heart, charm, wit, or even a good moral and all we have left are super-cheap jokes, bland characters, head-slapping pop-culture references, tissue-thin story, and some of the most absurd product placement you'll ever see in a film. There's no reason for family films to be this eager in pandering to the lowest-common denominator. Every frame melts with corporate cynicism at its worst. Leaves no impact but to feel dead inside. Stay away. 1.5/10

I'm not a Brony (nor have I seen the TV show), so I saw this online because I'd feel a little embarrassed to tell anyone that I, an adult that's not a pony-fan, paid to see My Little Pony. I still saw it anyway with an open mind (loony curiosities, I guess) and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The animation, though simple, is very colorful and full of character. It's a real treat to the eyes (not counting the weird CGI). The songs are adequate, some characters are likeable, the pacing is quick, and its message is sweet and not obnoxiously preachy. As a whole, My Little Pony: The Movie is an decent enough afternoon watch for the whole family... but it's still quite lackluster. The story feels like an extended episode of the TV show with super-predictable elements thrown in. The attempts at humor are kinda weak, half of the songs feel like filler, the villains are one-note and it occasionally dips down in the cutesy-claptrap territory you'd expect in a pony movie. MLP the Movie doesn't really feel cynical or half-baked, but it won't grab a casual viewer's attention either due to how safe it plays. It's a kids movie, sure, but I still don't see how these ponies lured so many people into the Brony fanbase. It's mildly-entertaining, sweet, adventurous, and sometimes charming... but it's also forgettable and uninspired. Average, but I'd take this over The Emoji Movie any day! 5/10
