Once you get through the initial phase of learning the base mechanics, you have a FANTASTIC game on your hands here. The atmospshere is great, the exploration is fun. The PROGRESSION of unlocking new weapons and armor through the forges is really well done. All in all, I could not put this game down and played it start to end in like14 days or so. I got A LOT of hours out of this. Sure sure, I agree, the whole mining bits and constant signing does get a bit OLD after a while (Whish you could skip the Durin Lamp for example) but hey, other than that. Great. Also, I had no technical issues of any kind. ZERO crashes!!! ZERO!! In over 60 hours of game time!!

I am NOT going to review the technical side of the game. It's not perfect, but, that **** is by far the BEST Bethesda release I have played in my lifetime. Starfield is great. Simple. If you loved Skyrim, Fallout 4 you will love this. It's right there. The whole space aspect is more of a backdrop than a core mechanic. But it works (For me) and I am having the best time exploring, learning, crafting, building. The best way to describe it is: 'It's Fallout 4 in Space" Basicly. I have had NO gamebreaking bugs. Game runs at a solid 40-50 FPS on my RTX3070. Is that perfect? hell no. BUt its playable. And I am certain that future patches and optimizations will bring that number up further. I rate this game a solid 8/10. It works for me. And I sunk 30-ish hours into it already. (My ranking is 10 to OFF-SET the negative reviewers)

I mean sure, the game is not ground breakin in anyway. And once you get the hang of connecting the stations and the combinations of **** game is not very challenging anymore. But I had good fun with it. Its not so much a sandbox game just like TTD. Its more an objective based game. Where you have to achieve certain goals within a time limit. And those come with their own challenges. Overal, solid. But...sometimes tedious. Hence the 7-8 rating is well deserved.

Considering the somewhat mediocre reviews on metacritic...I did not think I would like this game as much as I did. I think I have spend well over 40-45 hours playing this game for 4 days straight. I love resource management games, and this game has a little of that with the alcohol distribution system. NOw, I did find...A LOT of bugs and unbalanced issues. But the trying and playing was all the fun. I would like to get in touch with the developers though because I think I have a LOT of information on about how to improve the game. PRO's: 1- Fun combat 2- Enjoyable gameplay 3- A lot to do 4-Nice variety of weapons/gear CON's: 1- Not enough variety weapons/gear ;-) 2- Unbalanced (As of writing this review) 3- Somewhat stale story telling 4- Maybe a bit to easy. My biggest gripe however is that the AI is just vERY very dull and passive. Once they get to about 15-18 rackets they just STOP expanding. Doing absolutely nothing but wait for their inevitable demise. At no point in any of the difficulty's did I experience an AI that I could not handle. Being at war with one of them is more tedious than challanging. You are mostly vastly overpowered compared to them so running around and dealing with their "soldiers" is more of a chore than threat. Do give you an example, my rackets run into the DOZENS, up to like 50-60 sometimes even higher. So imagine the AI only having 15. You`ll make vastly more amount of money and can thus afford all the best gears and gangsters to give yourself a huge edge. (Even on hardest difficulty) Also the "Money making" system is completely busted. Here is how I broke the game: I only build brewery's. That's right. NO brothers, NO speakeasy's and NO casino (NEVER build Casino) Just BREW bear and sell it straight to the market/minor factions. All your gangsters get a part of your income, sometimes as high as 10%. So imagine having 9-10 gangsters who can take upwards of 80-90% of your total profits...thats right.... **** you sell you alcohol directly to the minor factons, your gangsters won`t see a DIME of that. SO I always make sure I have a NEGATIVE income, so that my gangsters take their minimum cut from my profits. ANd then I just sell all my alcohol to the factions and make THOUSANDS... I.e. 100 wiskey sells for $4.000 so.. With 50-60 rackets you`ll be making around a 1.000 Whiskey or more, you do the math. Easy wins. Anyways, great game. Would recommend. But highly unbalanced at the moment. DEV`s are working on patches and improvements though. So I doubt this review will remain accurate.

Finished it in 1 go. yes, I guess it is that short. (i.e: About 6/8 hours depending on your strategy) But I absolutely enjoyed it very much. It had a sense of awe just going out about in your floating town hall and just ever expanding. The economy in the game is very forgiving, and I personally like that. There is some trial and error but once you get the hang of ****`s great. I can really recommend. 9/10

EDIT: I finished it. And I'm not to ashamed to admit that I cried. This game is fantastic. Haven't had this feel and joy in a long while. Thank you **** Punch There is nothing I can write here that probably already hasn`t been said. But I also wanna hit on a few KEY FEATURES that I think are maybe overlooked: 1* THE LOADING TIMES are extremly fast. You get the **** punch logo when you boot up. Then you can continue, and it loads this game in very very fast. I`m talking less then 20 seconds. Personally I just find this fantastic. 2* THE FAST TRAVEL again, is extremly **** can fast travel and depending on the location it can take as little as 5-8 seconds. This game is so well optimized. 3* CONTROLS are just excellent. The combat is extremly fluid and you can really tell they put a lot of effort into this combat mechanic. Fan-funcking-tastic! 4* LITTLE TO NO BUGS, maybe I just got **** I have ran into almost NO bugs. Sure sure...I have seen some clipping and even I got stuck between a building and a stone wall this one time, but the game automaticlly resets your potions when you "FLOAT" for more than 10 seconds. Excellent. 5* THE ****, usualy I `m not one who cares much about music in a game, but I actually listened to this games soundtracks while I was working and doing study. So relaxing. 6* THE VALUE. I got this game on release date and I have been playing (Almost) the entire weekend.I have gotten at least 20-25 hours in and I only just last night cleared the first Island. There is so much content here...this game truly is WORTH the €60-70 bucks. SUPPORT DEVELOPERS LIKE THIS AND GREAT GAMES LIKE THIS AND GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE! 8/10 and the curent user score is 7.8 as of this writing. So I completely agree with that. Mutant year zero is a GOOD game. It`s not "great" it`s just good all-round in my honest opinion. PRO's: *combat *rpg elements *graphics *sound/voice acting/music and SFX *interessting and keeps you hooked Cons: *Story. Though it starts of very intrueging and **** falls a bit short in the end. *combat. because, even though its is really good and you can really make some interessting choices when it comes to **** also very "limited" I have to say. You can`t choose to go in all guns-blazing if you so desire...this is simply not how yu`re suppose to play. My biggest gripe with this game would be is that even though it feels somewhat open and free...youè really just following down a pre determined path. Is this a bad thing per se? No. but, it does mean that the game is not truly RPG/RNG and really just a handheld story telling. Not sure what else to say...I did finish it in a couple of days (meaning I played it without playing anything else in between) so I was hooked. I enjoyed it. Would I play it again though? probably not. Worth 30-40$ Play it once. And enjoy it.

REVIEWED ON 23-06-2020: I have started playing this game this week. I got it with my free Xbox Game pass. And I have to say....I`m not sure were all the negative reviews are coming from. Maybe I missed something? Did It get review bombed on release? I am having an absolute blast. It`s great fun to mow through the **** with my dual machinepistole. The enemie variety keeps in interessting. It feels balanced eneough were it is not **** I still get a nice sense of being overpowered (As I should with a game like this) I have encoutered no bugs. My only complaint would be that the A.I. is a bit simple and my A.I.-Sister (I play offline) Is not very dependable. But that said.....I`m having fun. And I like the game. Sorry for the haters out there ;-) I can recommend. EDIT: The combat is just very...very satisfying. 4 hours in and I just don`t get tired of it ;-) It`s fun. Also the graphics are A-MA-ZING! I have recently picked up this game (THANK YOU Xbox Game Pass) . I have only played GOW 1 and 2 back in the day and had to watch a youtube video to catch me up on the events untill GOW3. That said...I launched this game the day before yesterday and I just can`t stop playing. The story so far is very compelling (to me personally, I like it) I feel like I have a clear purpose and the objectives seem to make sense with the narrative. Overall I like the story is what I`m saying. I've read some reviews were people are complaining that the campaign is very ****, so far I feel like i've been playing for atleast a 5 hours and I have not completed the game yet. Though, judging from the events on my last playthrough...I do think i`m getting close to the end. COMBAT is.....well, it`s fun. It`s your basic GOW Cover-and-fire mechanic. They say "If it ain`t broke, don`t fix it"and that is surely true...however, I could not help but get a liiiitle tired of the repetative nature of this playstyle. The weapons for some reason lack "PUNCH" as I would often have to empty an entire clip of my rifle into an enemy before he would be killed. Sometimes more. Also there`s no real "impact/response"when you shoot an enemy...I mean, I just emptied 3/4 of my clip into his FACE and he`s still walking around like *Meh, no biggie* Oh well..... I see people bashing this game a bit to harshly. But...then again, I didn`t pay $50> for this game. (again, xbox game pass) So maybe im being a bit mild on my review as I feel like I didn`t lose any investment. I think the story is Great! Loving it so **** I ca`nt wait to get home today to (probably) finish the story. I`ll probably never touch it again after that though since i`m not a huge PVP kind of player. Maybe do some horde-mode for **** But thats it. So, take that as you will :-) Just leaving my 2 cents.

Okay, so hear me out. I do NOT...I repeat, I do NOT like Souls-likes games. They simply do not appeal to me. All that extreme trial-and-error gameplay. Did not play Bloodbourne, did not play Sekuro, did not play Dark souls. Now....THAT being Said. I ab-so-lute-ly LOVED The surge 1. For some reason the atomosphere and the whole sci-fi aspect of it drew me in and I played it start to finish at least 3 times in the past few years. And the surge 2 has proven to be just as much fun, and I dare say, it improves on the formula of Surge 1. The combat system really is what carries the game and the whole sense of progression you get throughout is immensly satsifying. Unlike some other RPG games where your "Level" is basicly nothing but a stat increase that just scales with the enemies and vice-versa. In the Surge your progression is actually quite noticeble. The enemies stay the same, in the sense that their hitpoints and level do not increase. But your overal skill and armor/weaponry DO increase as you gather new gear and weapons and upgrade them. So the challange remains, but your impact changes drasticly. And that is just very satisfying. Being able to eventually kill certain enemies with a few well placed strikes whereas before you really had to whither them down hit-by-hit. The lore is being dived into a bit more this time around, but...this is very subjective to personal taste. To ME, it was fine. I`m quite neutral in this. The point I am really trying to make **** you`re usually NOT into souls-like games...then you should give this a try. This game and its series is highly underappreciated. The whole SCi-Fi genre feels great, and it's more of an exploration/action/rpg than a hardcore souls-like game. *IN my personal opinion. Get it on sale if you must, but I tell you, it'll be money well spend. The gameplay and the mechnics in this game are enough to keep your entertaint for at least 20+ hours. Here's hoping that surge 2 finally puts this game on the map, because it does deserve a spot.

This game is just great. It's not for ****'s quite dialogue heavy and exploration/free roam might not be what you're used like as in Witcher 3/Fallout 4 or any similiar open world title. The game more or less puts you into different area's (Still quite sizeable some) where you can explore and find NPC's for quests and monsters for EXP. It's a great way to kill the time in between the main quest and is fun to just try and find some of the best weapons in the game that are just scattered around the world and not to be bought from vendors. Combat is solid. Though, I will **** as smooth or impactful as you might like. For one, getting hit doesn't seem to trigger any "hit reaction" just depletes your HP pool. And shooting enemies doesn't really trigger a "hit reaction" either. Weither you shoot them with a gun, a shotgun, flamethrower or electric beam weapon. All you do is basicly bring down the enemie's HP with damage numbers untill it dies. Not bothersom mind **** it does make your weapon of choice feel more like a personal prefference that actually a "tactical" decision. Mind you I have not finished the game yet. But...I'm one of those "completionists" I like explore every nook and cranny. That said...I think this game is good for at the least 20 hours if you really just play casually. Rush the story and that number will decrease dramaticly. PLay every side quest...talk to every NPC in detail and explore every **** that number ofcourse goes up. The story so far has kept my attention. The whole "World Being run By Corporations" has a nice swing to it and it works in the setting. The places you visit are mostly quite distinctive and different that it keeps you feeling like you're visiting new places. **** same planets can have multple landing ****, this makes the game deceptively larger than you might think once you open the map. LIke I ****'s a game that requires your attention though. Story and Dialogue are strong elements of this **** really leans more towards the whole "Role playing" aspect of the usually generelized RPG-Genre. That said...leveling up your character is still quite impactfull as almost all your skills directly relate to combat and some to your dialogue options. Opening up new possibilities/abbilities or quality of life perks. This means that exploring and fighting to gain a lot of EXP has some value to it. The armor and weapons are limited. And by that I mean, this is no borderlands 3. There's simply but a handfull of weapon types (Handguns, long guns, Heavy's, specials etc) and those all come in different MK types. So, Handgun MK1 = 50 damage. Handgun MK2 = 100 damage. Handgun MK3 = 150 damage. Etc. And they don`t feel differerent and only mild variations in their appearance. Nothing really exciting. Most damage rolls are based on your characters % mutlipliers and skills/perks. Still, decent and interessting enough to keep on the lookout for the more rare versions of every gun. TL;DR It's not for everyone. Lot of talking and listening. Combat is decent but not it's strong suit. Story is interessting and works. Game has very little issues and runs smooth. Weapons and armors are moderate but just enough to keep your switching out gear from time to time. Highly recommend to buy @ full price to support developers making games like this. 10/10

I agree with some of the reviews here. The "Story" basicly serves as a long tutorial. The combat is not that of a RTS strategy, no. And there is some need for balance tweakin. That being said...this game truly shines in it sandbox mode! And just for that it deserves a solid 9/10. I bought this with the Ubisoft 20% Discount that you get for turning in your game points. So, I can say it was money well spend. I already put 35 hours into the game and I plan on playing a lot more. It's so satisfying to wanting to be good and then figuring out how the economy works or the game mechanics. You can win in a variety of **** can: A. MIN/MAX using support stations that give bufffs to your production and that way try to out perform your competition. B. Straight up war. Just hoard Resources and build a big naval fleet and opress your opponent. C. My personal favorite...build a huge economy and start raking in the Money!! and just BUY OUT the competition! All in all, I can definitly recommonend this game. If you like resources management/city builder games. This game will find a comfortable spot on your Favorites List. 10 ?? Oh, god...another PS4 Fanboy ! (nooooooo !! Just here to counter the negatives) @the people who give this game a 3 or straight up ZERO: ARE WE EVEN PLAYING THE SAME GAME?? Don't be such a hater and give this game a FAIR review. I understand that this game is not for **** to just downvote it to 0 just because your experience was bad? That's not very reasonable. Just for Graphics, World building, Sound, Gameplay and Setting this game deserves a solid 6/10 I guess where you can kick it down on a little is the Bugs, Story, Zombie Genre and the lack of Multiplayer. (Because lets be honest, how cool would it be to roam DaysGone with a 2 players Co-op ?) Yes, the game bogs down and drags a **** yes...there are some inital bugs that plaque the game. But, when does this not happen with a new relase ? That being said.... This game is GREAT!! I got in on relase date and I have barely put it down this whole weekended. Now tell me, **** was really 0/10 or maybe 2/10. Would I play it this much ? A game that is a 0/10 is something you cannot even stand to play 30 minutes. Speaking of playing a lot...I only just scratched the surface of this game. I think im still only 34% into the story! And I sunk a decent 15 hours into this already! And not even side-tracking and wasting time. Just doing ingame stuff ! The gameplay is solid. The vibe is just wonderfull. And the tense moments just make it so great. But, fortunetaly, i was very wrong :-) There is a **** load of content here for you to keeo yourself busy. And though the fire fighting is somewhat repetitive in ****'s always in a new envoirement and you still need to be on your feet to take position and avoid being flanked. NOTE: the 10 is only to outbalance al the negatieve reviews. My real rating would be: 8/10 (PROS/CONS @ the bottem) As most people", I too listened to all the negative feedback surrounding this game. Which causes me to hold off on buying it for a long while. HOWEVER< recently it was on sale in my country and I Was able to pick this game up for €35. And let me tell you, that is money WELL spend. The game is absolutely massive and there is a lot of content here to keep you busy for HOURS> Yes, most of it is fighting and killing. But dude...which RPG is not ??? Speaking of which....I do not mind the depature from the classic Assassins creed formula. I find the RPG aspect to be very refreshing. Although the new combat system "Works" I still kinda do really miss the old mechanic with the counter fighting as seen in AC3 and AC Syndicate/Blackflag (Which are my favorite in the series) Those fights always look super flashy and movie like. The new fighting system is more traditional RPG and feels somewhat clunky and repetative at times. I really went into this expecting it to be faaarrr worse than it actually is. The gameplay is solid and entertaining. Exploring and following the locations in areas is very fun and satisfying. Also, 1 aspect of this game I totally did not expect is that THIS game is 100% a looter game. You find new gear pieces everywhere, and chasing that legendary item to perfect your build is very sastisfying. Some bad things too. Your gear is very reliable on your current level and upgrading that gear is just waayy to expensive. To give you and example. Most missions and objectives reward you with approximiatly 500-700 gold. To upgrade a legendary weapon to your current level can cost as much as 15.000 gold. (so yeah, thats insane) Mind you that most missions dont really take a long time. But still, its a build in grind-mechanic that I just wish wasnt there. PROS: -Great evoirment -Plenty of content here to keep you busy for HOURS -LOOT !!! -Freedom to play as you want -Story (Personally for me was entertaning) CONS: -Combat -Crafting -Economy (most important things are just TOO expensive) -Grind

Okay, right off the bat, I like to say this game is NOT perfect. It does, however, get a lot of things right. The GOOD: - Great story. You actually care for these people and their experience. I felt so attached I felt their hardship. -Beautiful. This ones easy and goes without saying. This is a 2018 game with amazing graphics -Plenty to do. I was well into the 40+ hours before I even started the story :P yes, thats the kinda guy I am. I started robbing, trading, hunting, gathering, exploring. Basicly anything I could do to see what could be done. -Gameplay. This is a personal thing. ive seen some people complain. And though I agree to some extend...I think the game play is just fine. I like the snap-to-target mechanic. I mean, i`m playing a bad ass and experienced cowboy. It should feel natural that I can mow down 5 guys withing a matter of seconds. Struggling with the manual aim just feels unnatural and like an unrealistic handicap. -No bugs. I have encounted NO bugs, and only MINOR glitches. LIke, this one time...Arthurs hand was clipping through his face during a dialoque with Dutch. But, thats really it. no **** **** framerate issies....nothing. Runs smooth ! Now, THE BAD: -Chore. And it **** really does feel like a chore sometime. Skinning, looting, walking, traveling. Yes, arthus feels like a real bulky and heavy dude. But it does tire after a while to skin the same f***ing deer for (literally) the 60th time. -Frustrating. Sometimes you get stuck behind something. Or because of the complicated controls you prompt soms command you didn't want. Like jumping into cover instead of picking up a gun. It nothing major or game breaking. Just small annoyance that kinda stack up over time and become irritating. -Slow and Big. The world is BIG. LIke, it`ll take you a solid 10 min to cross the map from A to B. Though I like the vastness and the regions to explore. It does get a bit annoying when you have to literally travel across the board to get a quest, animal, stranger request or something along those lines. The trains and the Coach fast travel system does offer some relief. I admit. But they never get you there all the way. Horseback travel does feel kind of satisfyin though. 60+ hours into it at this point and it still doesnt bother me to ride. Like I said, the game is not pefect. BUt I highly recommend. Okay people, lets ignore these Hyped-up-Fangame-Hippies" with their +10 joy ratings and REALLY give this game a review. With an author that's an actual critic, not someone who's played the game for 10 min. That being said, lets get down to business: Far Cry 3 pulls you in! Right away! The first 15 minutes of this game have been some of my most astonishing gaming experiences. Almost instantly you realize the situation you are in, and the things you have to do. Some things happen that are believable and feel legit. And that's exactly what's wrong with this game. I've spend a solid 20+ hours playing this game and the story line (though many people say is "good") I find to be quite...unrealistic. First of all..Jason Brody. Now, this guy is maybe an adrenaline junky not a stranger to racing cars, jumping out of planes and other things some of us might not do on a regular basis. So I guess the things he does in the game in forms of transportation are plausible. But he goes from being absolutely clueless about what to do, to an expert-stealth-bush-stalking-take-down-accurate-shooting-killing-machine almost overnight! This is no exaggeration. Using Knifes, Machine guns, Grenades, Rocket launchers, LMG's, Mines, C4, and not to mention shooting an bow and arrow without flaw.....this all becomes available to you in the first act of the game. If they really wanted to create a believable scenario in which someone grows from normal guy, into a fighter. There should have been some sort of builldup in the form of learning how to shoot and learning how to sneak up on people. The story itself is kind of this-and-that. Making you feel like you're doing what you're told rather then making your own decisions. And though I understand the game has to steer you in some direction as in regard to progress of the game. It would have been nice to have atleast been able to make some form of choice making. I did not feel any emotional attachment what so ever to my friends" You don't really know anything about them, untill you save them, and when you do, you just leave them somwehere in a safe area while you go back killing things. Sure, there is some **** even the woman portrayed as your girlfriend gives me this feel of annoyance and detachment. (well, I guess thats nothing new to some of you guys ;) THE GAMEPLAY: Like I said, you wield guns well. So you should'nt have any problems finding the gun that suits your particulair need. SIlent approach? Sure, just silence all your guns and stay out of sight. More of a rambo kinda guy? NO problem, just pick up that LMG, attach an ammo mod and you're good to go. If you really wanna give yourself a challange, I say go with the knife. This is by far the hardest approach. And also in someways advocated by the game. Since knife kills yield the most experience rewards. (Sometimes stacking up to X5 the normal exp for a kill) Jason's combat abilities, (if overlooked that he is just a normal kid) do feel good. He responds well. Moves around with ease, and going in and out of combat is quite easy thanks to all the jungle foliage. I guess it comes down to personal taste here. Myself? SIlenced sniper to get rid of the lookouts" then go in and clean up with the knife. THE MISSIONS: The whole game is riddled with little things to do. Hunt animals. Deliver Cargo. Look for a person. Look for ingredienets. Kill some bad guys. Etc etc... While the variety of side quests might be plentifull, fun to do and sometimes challanging. I couldn't help but think they where a waste of my time. Tedious repetition just to keep you busy from your main objective. Which is ...ow, I don`t know, trying to get the off a pirate invested island full of people who wanna kill ya? SUMMARY: The only thing really fun to go through, even with it's little implausible setting, is the main story. You'll end up wanting to know what happends, where it goes, and how it all ends. The bad part is, to fully enjoy the story line, you`ll need talent points and upgrades you`ll only get for actively spending time doing side tracking. Such as hunting, clearing outposts and crafting gear. I think that if you`d focus on the storyline. You could finish this game in less then 8 hours.

Allright, listen. I know some of you people might be dissapointed in the fact that the "graphics" are outdated and the "AI behavior" is not like what we have seen in other games. But honestly, I could not care less about graphics. I mean...seriously, Diablo II is the PERFECT example **** that is wonderfull and does not depend on graphics. I know you people, you'd play that game 10x over. Even today. And the AI behavior. **** cares. They`ll patch that soon enough. Dogma is about Exploring, combat, looting, suspense, questing, and all the things you'd expect from a fantasy RPG. And dont get me started on the whole Scale of the game. I myself took just 2,5 hour alone to look in every nook and cranny and comeplete every quest...just in the first city alone! The combine system, The skills, The Pawns, The Game mechanics. This game is just a great example of what a fantasy RPG should be like. My advise to capcom: Take Skyrims envoirment and free roam. Take Dogma's Combat system. Add a little Multiplayer and BAM!! You got **** that will rival all of the RPG games out there!
